On top of that, a previous PT session with another person (not Matt) had been a little too rough -- something we didn't realize at the time -- and it made everything worse. The pain spread down my spine and into my ribcage until I couldn't sleep, couldn't move without crying, and couldn't even take a full breath. I was at the point of desperation. From the very beginning, Matt showed extraordinary care. He offered to extend my appointment by an additional half hour, even though he could have easily taken a lunch break. That simple gesture told me everything about his dedication to helping his patients. He didn't just place needles and walk away -- he began with skilled acupressure, using his hands to release and reset tension before transitioning into acupuncture. His approach was thorough, thoughtful, and clearly based on deep knowledge of the body. What impressed me even more was how detailed and holistic he was in his intake. He took careful notes, asked questions that went beyond surface-level pain, and even checked in about possible emotional factors. That meant a lot to me, because in my own work I know how often emotional pain manifests physically. To have a practitioner who not only recognizes that but makes space for it was truly refreshing and healing in itself. And then -- the results. By the end of the session, I could breathe again. For the first time in days, I felt my ribcage expand without pain. He also taped me with strong KT tape to support my healing in the days that followed, and each day I continued to improve. The shift was immediate, but it also lasted, which says everything about the effectiveness of his skill. Matt is not only kind and compassionate, but he has the kind of presence and bedside manner you'd hope for in the very best doctors. He's incredibly well-educated and generous with his knowledge, happily answering every question I had about his work and his field. You can feel his passion for this medicine in every word and every touch. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. If you are in pain -- whether physical, emotional, or both -- give yourself the gift of working with him. He is deeply talented at what he does, and I sincerely hope he continues this work forever.

Bodywork is such a personal experience. I had never specifically had "rolfing" before and it was…read moresomething I really wanted to try. First impression: 1. The practice is in Dusty's HOME, so be prepared to look for a neighborhood address and the house is right on the CORNER without any signage. 2. The roommates were in the living room when I was walking in and walking out (upstairs) which can be a little awkward if you are a rigid personality, I'm more go with the flow so this wasn't too bothersome. 3. The downstairs bathroom toilet seat was really funky. Or maybe it was the toilet itself, I can't remember, either way I'm hoping he can fix that asap so that people have a more stellar experience. I did not feel comfortable going to the bathroom here. 4. The practice is held in the basement and it was pretty cold on a nice 60 degree day, so a snowy day would probably be extremely uncomfortable. I did suggest to Dusty to get an Earthlite table warming pad. My underside, especially when lying on my back, was cold the entire session without any insulation on the table - even with multiple blankets on top of me, goosebumps and I felt chilly down to my core. He did have a space heater going, but it did not warm up the room. 5. Dusty did not communicate expectations when booking and I didn't realize I should plan to be partially dressed during the session. I think that should definitely be discussed because I wore a one piece jumper and no underwear and was not even thinking about how to dress or bring garb for the session. 6. Upon arriving, the table was not set up let alone dressed, and folded in the corner. Dusty told me this was so there was room for me to walk around and check my gait. This room was definitely big enough to have the table upright lining the wall with plenty of center walk room. It seemed very strange to have him setting up the table and dressing it in front of me. All of the above happened before I got on the table, which is why I give the experience a 3 star review. The bodywork itself was my secondary experience but was totally over shadowed by being cold. All of the above aforementioned are experiential things that can be addressed and fixed. Good luck Dusty. I am confident you will remedy these things on behalf of your future clients.

We started the series and I felt immediate shift and change. I learned how rigid, tight, and tense I was holding my body to maintain balance and structure. Being conscious throughout the series is important. Dusty supports you in your space and timing with this in mind. He communicates well and makes sessions feel secure, safe, and sacred. After the series, I feel taller and straighter. I feel into all areas of my body - particularly, my feet and lower back - better and with more quality than ever before. The parts work together more. There is a flow and current that feels whole and less restricted. I did not realize that I was capable of facilitating this form of physical transformation through and with a practitioner. A previous pain area and tense issue was sitting. Now I sit comfortably while driving, meditating, work, etc without needing to focus on it. It's natural. My structure and form during all activities, like running, continues to evolve and further enhance, making me a stronger athlete. Every day I am more accepting of gravity! If you are ready to help and care for yourself physically, you should try out a Rolf session with Dusty and experience the potential for change and transformation. She was adept at finding the sources of those problemed areas and resolved things in a way where I wasn't completely sore and stiff the next day. Don't get me wrong, she gets in where she needs to!
