I had other family members here at different times of the day and all of us commented on different forms of neglect to the patients we witnessed. The daughter of a patient on my parent's wing actually called an ambulance to have her mother moved to another facility because she was so unhappy with her care. I caught the administrator Becky in numerous lies, watched folks sitting for hours in their wheelchairs with no one even talking to them, no assistance in eating for patients with severe motor skill problems and a staff that was either chatting with each other or on their cell phones. I have many notes and am reporting this home to Illinois Aging Authorities.

My nephew was given meds for a swollen ankle. The proper test weren't done and trays the symptoms worsened he went to Mercy Health in Paducah_KY. They investigated further and had him airlifted to St. Louis University where he was scheduled for immediate surgery. My mom was told she had fluid on the lungs that required immediate removal. The day of the procedure to remove fluid we learned from the technician that did a last minute scan mom didn't need the procedure she had less than a trace. Had she had the procedure it could have punctured her lungs. Another family friend's treatment was delayed which contributed to his death. There are no check and balances. It's evident that everyone is treated as if they are the same model car. A assembly line of nameless people whom they have no attachment and just trying to get in and out as soon as possible regardless of seriousness or lack of the condition. Overall the organization structure is disorganized and accountability is lacking. There are a few dedicated, seasoned, compassionate and skilled professionals but it's hard pressed to find them. Zero rating! It's disheartening to know this is a college town with a insufficient medical facility.

My podiatrist recommended Athletico for physical therapy. Thanks to the careful attention of the wonderful therapists there, I was walking without any aids within 3 months. Now 5 months later I have almost full range of motion in the foot, very little pain, and am able to participate in most of my normal daily activities. Some of the other reviews reference the patient load, and while it is true that the therapist working with me at any given time might also be supervising one or two other patients working with PTAs, I never felt that they weren't attentive to my well-being. Sometimes my one hour ran a bit longer, but I always left with a bit more improvement and new knowledge for how to continue to work on the foot on my own. Many thanks to Isiaac, Bridget, Jessica, Hailey, and all of the other wonderful staff there.
