Then we moved to Japan and took a year off before we were back in the area for a few months where we re-enrolled them for a few months for a refresher. Today, I just want to thank them so much for everything they taught my kids. Today could have gone so differently. We were out camping in cabins at a lake in Japan and our younger child was out with 3 other kids and they ended up near the water which had a deep drop off. I was changing and one of the other parents was going to see what they were up to. My younger son somehow fell into the lake with his bike helmet and sneakers on. No one screamed. My older child came up to the road and told a parent... Instead of screaming (I wish they had ran and screamed.) The parent ran down to the water and saw my younger child floating on his back out in the lake where it was too deep for her to stand. She swam out and got him. She said these lessons saved him. Here I am extremely pregnant and I'm overly emotional about what could have happened today. I know God was with us today and I'm forever grateful for their investment in our children.
