Although my son originally signed up for group lessons, when he was the only one that registered, Amelia did not cancel the sessions or raise the cost for what was not private lessons. Due to the wonderful set-up, I was able to watch the lessons while she taught him water polo skills and ran him through drills. I was quite impressed with how clearly she verbally broke down the skills prior to demonstration and her relaxed methods of correcting/adjusting his form. At the end of the sessions, he had a firm foundation to begin working out with the water polo team. Additionally, I was able to observe the lessons before and after my son's and I could see the same supportive manner in working with those students. Regardless of the type of lesson you are looking for, I recommend Amelia and A Splashing Success Swim School without hesitation.

Then we moved to Japan and took a year off before we were back in the area for a few months where we re-enrolled them for a few months for a refresher. Today, I just want to thank them so much for everything they taught my kids. Today could have gone so differently. We were out camping in cabins at a lake in Japan and our younger child was out with 3 other kids and they ended up near the water which had a deep drop off. I was changing and one of the other parents was going to see what they were up to. My younger son somehow fell into the lake with his bike helmet and sneakers on. No one screamed. My older child came up to the road and told a parent... Instead of screaming (I wish they had ran and screamed.) The parent ran down to the water and saw my younger child floating on his back out in the lake where it was too deep for her to stand. She swam out and got him. She said these lessons saved him. Here I am extremely pregnant and I'm overly emotional about what could have happened today. I know God was with us today and I'm forever grateful for their investment in our children. When we showed up at the appointed new day they told us, there was no class for the 3 of them and so we left. Unfortunately I paid 2 months dues for 3 kids and I'm stuck. The YMCA is way better. Avoid!
