Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a pharmacy. I had a medication I knew it might be problematic to fill (many pharmacies don't carry it) so I called in advance and asked if they could get it. They said yes, it would only take one day, so I sent my prescription here. After two days, I called to check on the status and they didn't have it but said that it would only be "one or two more days". When I called again in three days, they still didn't have it and told me the same thing. When I called again three or four days later, they still didn't have it and I asked why they kept telling me that it would show up in "one day" or in "one to two days" and the pharmacist started ranting at me about how he's a good pharmacist and he knows what he's doing and it's my fault for taking too long to call. Maybe at this pharmacy you're supposed to call every day or they won't fill your prescription? I tried this pharmacy because it has a 5 star rating, but after this experienced I looked more closely at the reviews and noticed that all of the 1 star reviews are hidden under "not currently recommended". First of all update your address because this pharmacy moved to Fulton Street. I only gave this place 1 star so I can leave a review. I called this place on Today November 18th and ask if the had Promethyzine DM and the lady on the phone said Yes. It took me an hour in traffic to get to this place to be told that don't have it. I heard the pharmacist asking the lady that worked there if I've been there before and analyzed the prescription like it was fake. What a shame to be profiled by your own people. Mohammed and the pharmacy staff are fantastic. Have an insurance issue at a chain drug store and you are on your own. Here they solve the problem for me almost every time, and the rest of the time they explain exactly what I need to do to resolve it. And their prices are sometimes much better! Support independent local business and get better customer service and lower prices to boot! What's not to like? read more

In short Nevins Pharmacy preserved my entire treatment process. A major chain that I was with for 10 years with the same doctor in the same prescriptions for that entire 10 years kept me in limbo constantly wondering whether I was going to get in my entire prescription or even get it at all. This is not a suitable environment for people that take psychotropics that must be taken every day. And I have never missed a dose in that entire time. A simple glance at the computer is all it takes for a caring pharmacist to see that all my medications are in order. The very minute that I moved to Nevins Pharmacy. They called me and went over my prescriptions with me and the date that I can pick them up. And since then. They have maintained the utmost professionalism and actually take proper notes so that if a different pharmacist is on duty they can maintain this standard of high professionalism. That's really all that's required of a pharmacist. Yet they go beyond. They are always polite and genuinely concerned. They ask how you're doing and they remember you. As I said above they have preserved my entire treatment process by removing the predominant aggregate in my healing. Now knowing that I have a stable Pharmacy for the rest of my life as I will be taking this medication the rest of my life. I am finally able to relax. I never worry about it any more. And this has caused me to heal in ways that I didn't even know were possible. And they do not treat me special. This is the standard that they apply to everyone. Which is exactly what a good Pharmacy is supposed to do.1 Grateful is not a strong enough word to describe the effect Nevins has had on my life. Honorable honest integrity ( and even laugh at my stupid jokes) kind and friendly are words that must be used to fully describe Nevins Pharmacy And the way they treat their customers If you need a long-term Pharmacy. Don't waste your time just go directly to Nevins. I'm sure they apply this same standard to a one-time fill as well Remember that the state is heavily scrutinizing pharmacies over Controlled Substances right now. So if you are prescribed one you need to call them and let them know you're coming down to pick it up. A little courtesy on your part will be returned tenfold by Nevins. This is the cleanest pharmacy I have ever been in, and the light is great -- bright and white. Often I go into a pharmacy or drug store and the light is sickly green or something and I feel gross just being inside, but not at Nevins Drugs. Everything is laid out very neatly. The labels on the aisles are a tiny bit misleading, but the place is small enough that labels don't really seem necessary and all the items are organized and laid out in a way that makes sense. The staff is super friendly and helpful and seem proud of their establishment. They should be! Prices are a little steep, but not dealbreakingly so. read more

I had been using this pharmacy for quite some time and always picked up and dropped off my RX's on my own. Living around the corner from them made this not an issue. I moved and I was assured that they deliver to my area. And was encouraged not to find another pharmacy. Being as all my records were on file there and they knew me I considered this to be a good idea staying with them. I dropped off my usual RX's two days prior to when they were supposed to fill and deliver them to me so they knew in advance. On the day I was supposed to get my prescriptions delivered to me I called to find out what time he was coming and was told they forgot to order one of them and the others that they had couldn't be delivered because the driver had already left. They made no action to contact him to return and pick up my medication. One of my medications was for anxiety. Which not having it had in turn caused more anxiety. They assured me that it would be delivered the next day. I verbalized how important it was for them to make sure I got my anxiety medication the next day because I could not be without that. I received a phone call that following day saying the driver had left and he was unable to deliver to me once again. And being as I was farther away that they wouldn't even bother to try. Telling me couldn't I just come and pick it up myself. If that was the case they shouldn't have reassured me that it would be delivered the next day. Which makes two days without my medication. I was completely out of my medication. I have now ended up in the emergency room with a panic attack as a direct result of their negligence. Not taking prescribed anxiety medication on a regular basis or skipping days can lead to cardiac arrest. Not sure if many people are aware of this but the pharmacy definitely knows this as they are trained in knowledge of side effects of coming off a medication without Dr. monitoring the patient. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY DUE TO NEGLIGENCE AND LACK OF PATIENT CARE!!! Aside from it's interior looking clean and orderly that is about all that is good there. They have lost a customer and I am letting people know what this pharmacy did and how they did absolutely NOTHING to rectify the situation. read more
