As someone who dedicated 5+ years to working at Artis, I only have great things to say. I grew up nearby, coming here as a kid and served the community by assisting customers with their medications, check outs, etc through my college years. I absolutely adore the people who work here. Artis drugs will always be the best neighborhood pharmacy. They are always fully stocked, will always be open in all types of weather, delivering medications to those who need delivery services. Other local pharmacies have poor appearance, poor service, and nothing on the shelves. Artis is the opposite. Prices are reasonable. If they don't have the item in stock they will order it for you. This local pharmacy has been here for a really long time. They have great prices, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a very organized and clean array of products. Although Walgreens is right across the street, they are much more slower at preparing your prescription and they also charge you $1 for every prescription you have covered with insurance. At Artis...you get all medicine under insurance for free! With really pretty and nice staff, and a clean welcoming environment, this pharmacy is where I will continue to go for as long as I live around here. Besides, for my insured prescriptions, if I had to choose to pay $1 or get it for free, of course I'd choose free!! read more

My family and I have been coming here since as long as I can remember. The pharmacists are really knowledgeable and its a really nice family owned place (or at least it seems that way. Same people working there all the time). We get better prices at this pharmacy as opposed to somewhere like CVS. They also get my medication ready in a timely manner. They also have free prescription delivery which is really nice especially if you're too sick to go out and nobody is able to pick up your medicine for you. I'll miss this place when I move out! P.S. This review was for the pharmacy. The other things you can buy in here are actually a little more expensive than places like CVS. So if you're going here to buy shampoo expect to pay more here. I've never really used this place for that purpose. read more

I had nerve damage to my left arm, radial palsy, My Dr. advised me to get a cock-up splint. Dr. right by Walgreen's & Artis. I figure Walgreen's will have it.... I asked 2 employees one looked at me like I had 3 heads and the other informed me they do not carry any splints..... Really??? A major chain drugstore??? WTF! I have never been to Artis but saw it across the street and they knew exactly what I was talking about even allowing me to try different sizes on to see which fit the best. read more

lm extremely upset with the pharmacy. I use to get my medicine there but they are constantly changing manufacturers because they purchase the cheapest manufacturer out there. I also heard rumors of them billing peoples insurance and getting payed for medicine that we aren't receiving They are supposed to reverse the claims after two weeks and they never do. I started checking my insurance statement and I noticed prescription that the pharmacy got pay for and I didn't receive. All they do is fraudulent activity. People please check all your insurance statement. The pharmacist aren't even nice they have nasty attitude especially Julie and Michelle. They will be exposed in do time. I'm amazed by all of the positive reviews! This place is awful. The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with! My wife & her mother (who also lives in the neighborhood) like to use here because they can ask questions of the pharmacist. But 9x out of ten she hangs up the phone and complains that they don't know what they're talking about. They also have a bad habit of not stocking their medicines appropriately. It's common that they'll call us back and say we can only fill half your prescription today and you can come back tomorrow to pick up the rest. They have also made several mistakes. Luckily my wife checks very carefully and notices differences in color, size, etc. of the pills. As for the non-pharmaceutical items in the store, they charge you a premium for them! I flip out when I see an Artis bag on my dining room table full of eye drops, vitamins, greeting cards and other things that could have been bought cheaper some place else. I know that's money flushed down the drain. I've cut ties with them and get my prescriptions filled elsewhere. I would much rather patronize a family-owned business, but at least don't take advantage of me as a consumer. Then I'll feel better about giving you my business. read more

We've gone to Artis forever. They're very helpful. Polite. They'll deliver to your house. We refuse to go to the Walgreens across the street as it's a typical lousy chain. Just the fact that Walgreens built right across the street is a turn off. My wife went in to the Walgreens once for a hard to find item that couldn't wait and an employee made an extremely rude and unasked for comment to her. As long as Artis is around we'll continue to support a long time local business. Try Artis, you'll like it. read more

Great neighborhood pharmacy providing professional related services for years. Lately though I must comment the pharmacy dept seems to be short staffed on weekends. Also, suggest make sure to call and confirm precriptions are ready prior picking up any at the pharmacy. More than once there's been instances where prescriptions were not ready, or not recorded properly when called in over the phone. read more
