Found my hair place. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and friendly that it is absurd. It is such a comfortable, energetic, happy environment. The individuals doing the hair are so positive and affirming, while also educating you on what they think you can do to best take care of your hair. Personally, I've been using Kelly, and I can't say enough good things. The price is right in line of what you'd expect, but it really does feel like you're getting so much bang for your buck. Overall, I love how familiar New Appearances feels. As long as they keep accepting my appointment requests, I will continue to visit New Appearances. This is a perfect local hair salon! Great environment, friendly staff and excellent prices! I don't get my hair cut often, but Bobbi does such a great job that it grows out very nicely for a few months. Whether you get regular haircuts or once a year, you'll enjoy it! After experiencing many city hair salons, this one has all the services at much more reasonable prices. I have not tried their spa services yet but I hope to in the future. read more

Linda always gives me the perfect cut. My gray hair has turned my wavy hair to a very curly clump if hair, but she manages to make it look both neat and styled. Their prices are about average, but the service is excellent along with the results. read more

Came in yesterday for a spray tan with Kelly. She did a great job and was very personable. I will definitely back if I need another spray!

I used to go here when I was younger and my recent visit reminded me why i had stopped. I made a last minuet appointment because I just couldn't take my roots any longer, the stylist seemed irritated that I was even there. I had some blond peek-a-boo color that i wanted covered and knew it would probably fade faster than the rest of my hair but I had stressed to her that I was concerned about it all being covered. I then gave her the formula a use on my hair (jet black), nothing complicated, and i used to be a hair dresser so I know what I'm talking about. I found out afterwards she used 2 shades lighter than that I had asked and when I do my hair I find patched of blond that were never even touched by the color. The cut was no better, I had asked to keep the length and wanted it choppy and fun, instead i got a solid line across my back and a few layers. Again I used to do hair so I know how to explain what i want. She also blew my hair dry into a frizzie poof and let me leave the salon that way!! I will NEVER go back here and do not recommend it to anyone read more

I've been going to Linda (the owner) for over 15 years. There's a reason--she knows what looks good on me, and she knows what I want, even when I don't. I usually have no problem getting an appointment with her, and everyone who works there is very friendly and casual. I can't speak for the other stylists because I've only ever gone to Linda, but if they're half as good as she is, then they're awesome. Most times, I've gone for a cut and have been happy every time. A couple times, I got a perm, and that was also great. They offer lots of other treatments too. HIGHLY recommended. The only thing is it's a little expensive ($30 for wash, cut, and blowdry) for a recent college grad, at least. If I just need a trim, I'll go to Hair Cuttery, but when I want a new style or something emulated from a picture, it's Linda I go to every time. read more

Tried this salon for the first time and couldn't be happier. The haircut is perfect, I've gotten so many compliments. My stylist Kelly was amazing, everyone working was so nice and friendly. The salon was clean and Covid precautions were taken, everyone with masks and hand sanitizer was plentiful for clients and workers. Well definitely be going back for future appointments. read more

For over 20 years I have been getting great haircuts from Bobbie at New Appearances.

After repeatedly calling my regular salon and not getting an answer I called New Appearances for a last minute appointment. They asked me to come in within the hour and set me up with Linda. I had a couple of photographs of what I wanted and she listened to my preferences then went to work on my thick, super-straight hair. I have wished all my life for a bit of flip or any body and have mentioned it to every stylist I have ever seen. They always say, yeah yeah, the right cut will do that. It has never happened. That was until I got this cut. Wow! I finally got exactly what I have wanted for years! It has been a month since my visit and my hair looks great all the time.
