One of my new favorite stores to shop at Citadel Outlets. The location has moved to a bigger storefront just a few months back. The staff is usually well attentive while you're shopping and explains all the current sales. Typically the selections of New Balance sneakers are extensive. Their shoes are very comfortable and offer regular and wide options. The deals here are consistently great. Some weekends 50% off or sometimes they offer buy 1 get 1 one 50% off. Each time we visit I find new stylist sneakers and apparel on display and available for purchase. It gets pretty crowded in here on busy weekends, but it's expected. Overall, this location is a must visit for me since I enjoy New Balance's catalog of selection. There's deals just in time for the holidays. ( ^_^)b read more

Things started a bit rough, as the store was CROWDED! Had a brief interaction with the manager (I'm SO sorry if I get her name wrong) Aneesah, who was helpful in directing us to our desired sneakers. Once located, I was eyeing some shoes, when Jade asked if I was "finding everything ok," Jade took her time to address not only myself but my elderly mother's needs and went as far as to be sure that we were looking at the correct size & width by measuring both of our feet. Come-to-find-out, we were WAY-off! You should feel privileged to have Jade as an employee as she is knowledgeable in her craft, VERY attentive, patient & pays VERY close attention to detail. First of all, Melissa is probably the hardest worker I have ever met! If you ever go to this new balance please ask for her or Jorge! They are absolutely amazing. I went in looking for wide shoes since Nike is all I wear I needed help finding my perfect fit. Melissa approached me and was so friendly and kind. I told her my needs and she recommended the most perfect shoes. A 608 extra wide!!!! I had never experienced this kind of comfort before and I fell in love with these shoes and this brand. I am so surprised about the lack of professionalism from Melissa the "manager". First red flag, when she starting telling one of the team members "tu culpa papi, for how long have you been working here? Just because his mic wasn't working, which I don't consider is his fault, even if it was it is extremely inappropriate talking to him like that, almost yelling in front of the customers. We kept looking and ask her for the price, i thought that was her job, HELPING THE CUSTOMERS ON THE FLOOR. She proceeds to point with her miserable finger so we asked, could you help us do the math? Item was 30% off, she replied, we don't do the math we're not target. We're not like target My mom gets mad, and says: no, like Nike And she said I don't go there, I dont use cheap and ugly shoes, and they are not wide enough for me. (MY MOM WAS WEARING NIKE) I work with customers too, and I think this store deserves a better manager. I know she's going to read this and ofc the store doesn't really care about my opinion but if you're a customer and you can avoid this store, don't waste your opportunity lol. The employees at the Citadel New Balance store were so knowledgeable and helpful when my husband and I were shopping there the other day. Adolfo and Natalie were able to point us to the right shoes for our needs at a great price. Although my size was not in stock at their location, they found a pair for me at the Costa Mesa store and made sure they were held for me there. We've always had terrific customer service at ALL the New Balance stores we've been to, but Natalie and Adolfo get extra kudos! read more

Had a pleasant experience at this store. The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to meet my expectations. Especially, associate, Almaveli. A bonus was the cleanliness and organized shelves. I didn't know what to expect but glad I went inside and came back with a pair of 574 which were on sale. I stopped in today and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Adolfo. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. After describing the shoes I was looking for, he suggested a similar item and brought a sample over since they didn't have them in my size but he also informed me that they could order the correct size and have them shipped to my home for free. The store itself isn't huge but more than 50% of it was filled with shoes. They also offer clothing and sports gear. Couldn't tell if the pricing was that much better than what's online but I was told they often have big sales on the weekends so might be best to come then. read more

I bought 2 shoes here at citadel outlet yesterday. it was clearly marked at 89.99 wc was okay as first item, but the 2nd item ($39.99) and 3rd item at 50% discount. Come paying time at the cashier, EVERYTHING ARE ON REGULAR PRICES. The lady at the cashier said that it rung as regular prices. I started to ask her why it has not been changed on their system and on the display amount and she just shrugged it off like she don't care. We spent time looking for shoes that we wants, noting of their promo prices and the display says Buy One, Get one 50% and third item 50%. The 2nd item of 39.99 was actually $70. Dog friendly! (On leash) They were limiting capacity but we were first in line when they opened at 11, but my girl needed a break outside at some point so we went to find a patch of grass. (Good spot directly across parking lot). When we returned we only had to wait a minute or two to re-enter. The guys were super cool and helpful and totally dog friendly. They actually had a newer version of the pair I had for at least 2 years and totally wore out. Unfortunately they have a pink accent. But they are great shoes so I bought 2 pairs. They were having a buy one get one 50% off plus the citadel discount book (online) had a $10 off $75 or more. Good selection of shoes and some clothing! So glad I found this location! The register was sanitized after every customer, the guys wore masks and required customer to also. One guy took his off and they immediately asked him to please put it back on. stopped by the NB store at Citadel a few days ago with my son who was looking for a particular shoe. They didn't have the shoe in his size (12.0 mens) but a thoughtful staff member named Adolfo was kind enough to call the NB store in Camarillo (which had my son's shoe size) and put the size 12.0 shoe on hold for us to pick up later that day. New Balance finally joined The Citadel outlet world. I can now come here for Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Acisc and Reebok running shoes. The store is nicely laid out and usually has additional off sales. The staff is pretty knowledgeable (although their best staff work in the non outlet stores). They have running and casual shots and apparel for all types. Definitely worth a stop! read more

An outstanding experience all around. Blake assisted me. I explained my foot issues to him & he immediately pulled several styles & sizes for me. I would have been lost for hours. Most of his suggestions were right on the money. I was so pleased I bought 2 pairs. Everyone was very helpful & friendly. Store is well stocked & bright. This store has HORRIBLE customer service. Line is LONG due to only allowing 8 in the store at a time. I called the day before to check availability & the gentleman put 2 pairs of work shoes on hold. He also said if there's a line, ask for the mgr & let them know I have your shoes behind the counter. Depends on the mgr but hopefully they'll ring you up. It's been 30 minutes in the line outside just to get in & I'm only half way through the line. I spoke to the mgr & he said "there's nothing I can do" I can't let you cut." I DIDN'T ASK TO CUT! Use your brain! You are in retail, a number driven business. This is the ONLY store with a line that is NOT moving. Common sense tells you to adjust & adapt to the situation. I have 2 pairs at the counter, nobody in line at the register, but 24 people in line outside. I NEED NON SLIPS for work, but next time... it'll be another store or another brand. I bought shoes for my family for Christmas here and one came damaged . I decided to drive back today at 10:00 AM to make a "quick" exchange but I was told to wait in line by some female employee,I felt as if she didn't hear me speak what so ever , her immediate response was "You still have to wait in line" when it wasn't my fault that the shoe came damaged, as if I wanted to wait in line again for something that could've been easily fixed. We waited in line & got in at 10:50AM something , my bf and I decided to finish our Christmas shopping since we waited in line. It was a might as well kinda moment lol but it was still upsetting.
