I asked for a TRIM, emphasis on the word TRIM! and LONG layers with curtain bangs. My hair used to be down to my butt, now it is right below my chest. I really don't like people cutting my hair, but my relative came here before and had a decent experience, so I decided to come here as well. Jessica cut my hair. I told her to only cut about an inch off and even gave her a reference photo. I demonstrated with my fingers how much to cut as well. She said okay and started cutting right away. My hair ended up 8 inches shorter!!! The layers are so short and the bangs aren't even close to what I imagined. After the cut, I was sent to receive a shampoo. The man there did very well and it was relaxing with the massage. That was the only good part about this experience. After I was done shampooing, they both blow dried my hair then she started to put a hot iron on it--with no heat protectant. After that, she started cutting more again. It was uneven because she didn't even bother to fix my middle part after the wash. I asked her if she could fix my part, but she told me that it's okay and to just put it any kind of way. Seriously? I paid 60+ tip, which I shouldn't have even done. I didnt realize how short it was until I left. I screamed inside of my car because I was so angry. I am so upset and will recommend that if you have long hair, to not go here unless you want a big chop. I will never go here again. 0 stars

Of the three previous ones I visited, one didn't have the color I wanted, one did not have a qualified colorist, and the last one required a consultation then a week to two week before an available appointment even though a sign posted states that walkins were welcomed. I walked into Egyptian Hair Styles on Saturday, spoke with the owner, told her what I wanted, and she informed me that any of the stylists could do what I wanted and assured me they have the color I wanted. The next day, Sunday, I did a walkin and was able to get exactly what I wanted. Both days I went, the employees greeted me promptly and was pleasant throughout my entire visit. I was seated in a chair quickly and the stylist began working on my hair. She asked what I wanted and delivered just that. To top it off, the price was reasonable. Parking is shared with other stores in the plaza, but there was plenty space available. I would definitely recommend the team here and would definitely return for and service I need.

BEWARE! CHEMICALS ADDED AT SHAMPOO BOWL!…read more I was referred to George by a very close friend who has a head full of long, natural, color-treated hair just as I do! Upon visiting, we were both thrilled at how quickly we got in and out (less than an hour) for a wash, dry, and style. We both even took our teenage daughters, too. My girlfriend first realized that something wasn't right upon washing her daughter's hair after only going to George a couple of times. She noticed the texture was straight n stringy n the back and it just didn't feel right. When washing her own hair, she also noticed the same thing and told me about it. Needless to say, when I washed my own head later (in preparation for summer knotless braids), I realized that my hair felt thinner and lighter towards the ends. So, I decided to give it a break from the heat this summer. Upon going to my main stylist, today, she initially felt my hair was ok, but would know for sure once she washed it. Upon washing it, she was upset and stated "my head is not the same head!" She informed me that they were using chemicals on our hair (e.g. relaxer) and we didn't even know it. I have been natural for over 14 years. Apparently, they add chemicals to make our natural hair more manageable, so they can quickly get us in and out. However, it totally destroys our once healthy full head of hair. I will NOT be going back, but definitely felt that I needed to provide this review to inform others as I was once sending George very high praises! Not anymore...

I visited this salon on Thursday around 10:00 AM. Before my appointment, I read several reviews,…read moreand I admit I was hesitant because some of them were negative. However, I was desperately in need of a salon that accepted walk-ins and was accessible for disabled customers, so I decided to give them a try. I am very glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and asked what services I wanted. I requested a shampoo, deep conditioning treatment, and a trim. I was taken right away for my shampoo and deep conditioner. Another stylist set my hair on rollers, and once I was finished under the dryer, another stylist promptly began styling my hair. The entire process was efficient, and all of the stylists I interacted with were friendly, patient, and accommodating. As someone with a disability, I especially appreciated the kindness and patience they showed me. Unfortunately, that is not always the experience disabled customers receive, so their attentiveness meant a great deal. My only minor concern was that during the deep conditioning treatment, I was not initially offered a towel to protect my clothing. I did ask for one because I did not want my shirt to get wet, and it was provided. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the professionalism of the staff. My experience was positive, and I plan to return in the future.

A rough estimated wait time should be given initially because I was there for 5hrs despite them starting the coloring right away. Be prepared to wait even though you have an appointment time and the prices are on the higher side…read more My only expectation for this appointment was to be on time and to leave on time (with everything done the same day). My personal experience: I recently relocated to Georgia and I was looking for places to go and figured I would try the HairLoft because I follow them on Instagram and they had an available appointment on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 4pm so I booked right away (keep in mind this was my day off from work) I booked with Dee short for DeAndrea because I didn't understand what Level 1 or 2 meant on the website and the website did not explain this so I picked randomly (this could easily be fixed with a short definition or years of experience put by the stylist name). My appointment time according to the confirmation from the salon was 4pm-5pm (VERY IMPORTANT) this was for a Silk Press +Hydration Treatment +Haircut. Cost $160.00 for a level 2 stylist (still not sure what that means). I only left a $10.00 tip because well keep reading.... I arrive to the salon at 3:30pm because traffic is terrible here and I wanted to make sure I made my appointment time. I'm taking back to the shampoo bowl right away and on my way to the shampoo bowl, I am thanked by the stylist for showing up early to my appointment. By 4:20pm I am washed, had my hair treatment, and my hair blown out ready to go into the chair for the haircut and silk press (the salon had at least 3 shampoo girls and they rotated with blowing out the hair). I'm thinking this process is so efficient until 5:30pm rolls around and I'm still not in the chair (no one communicates anything with me about running behind). I see another client in front of me and I have to leave at 5:45pm because I had to be back home, keep in mind my appointment time was from 4-5 (I have the email confirmation sent from the salon). So I tell the stylist I have to leave and be back at my house by 6:15 (the drive from my house to the salon is 30-40 minutes depending on traffic that day) and she asked if I could come back later that night, or tomorrow Wednesday, January 3, 2024 but I already had something planned because my appointment time was from 4-5. The only day I could come back was Thursday after work (I get off at 4pm and traffic starts to get bad here around 3pm). I am told to come back Thursday after work at 4:30 so she can finish my hair. So I pay for my service that I did get (wash, hair treatment, and my hair blown out). I was told not to put any product in my hair so I went to work with frizz blown out hair. I arrived back at the salon on Thursday at 4:30 on the dot for the cut and silk press but tell me why another client is in the chair after I was told to be there at 4:30. The kicker for me was they went outside to take pictures for Instagram and I've been waiting since Tuesday to get my hair finish. At this point I'm so over this lady and place. I finally get in the chair at 5pm. The inconvenience overshadowed anything this lady could possibly due to my hair. I'm finally done by 5:30 and this lady has the nerve to try and take pictures of my hair :/ completely done-the audacity. To Management: The point of running a successful business is to get customers but also retain them (this is not the way). If you are paying 3 shampoo girls and the appointment times are still not being met- something is flawed with your business model or the people you have working for you. A friendly disclaimer on your website about the wait times or just someone communicating to clients that the stylist is running behind would go a long way. I hope this helps anyone who recently moved here and looking for hair places.
