Don't expect any kind of customer service once you've paid. Went local for a more expensive price than a big box store to receive a stump grinder with completely smoothed over/worn out blades. (were totally rounded off, they should look like suction cups to cut properly) Brought it back after a while of battling with it to see if they could offer me another rental (didn't ask for money back) was told i was wrong the blades were sharp. they werent even close to sharp. and that i should call back and talk to the manager without trying to resolve the situation. Called back to talk to the manager, was told he's not there, i tried to ask when he would be in and was told he works when we wants, he may be in at the end of the week. Again no offer to make the situation right. Such a shame to not know how to handle a small customer issue by a local business. I would not recommended. read more

their goal is to keep your deposit. They rent old crappy equipment and something will malfunction and they will say it's the operator's fault and charge you. I rented here twice and each time the equipment malfunction and they took my deposit. Stay away! A bunch of greasy backwoods slickers. read more

On our new place we have loads of stumps that are really in the way when I try to mow. I considered hiring a stump grinding place but I have so many it would cost a fortune. I currently am furloughed from my job so I've got time on my hands and decided to look into renting a stump grinder. I look at several places online but the closest and the best price that I saw was at New caney tool rentals. I dropped in earlier this week and found a very nice store with lots of products on display for rent. They had a stump grinder on their showroom which was an impressive machine. $175 for the day or 24 hours and that is about what it would cost to have three to four stumps ground buy a service. I have 25 to do. The staff was friendly answered all my questions and had a machine available on the day that I needed it. When I came to pick it up the people in the yard loaded it on the trailer strapped it down and make sure I understood how everything worked. The stump grinder work perfectly. it was easy to start had a powerful Honda motor and made short work of my 25 stumps. I invested about 8 hours of my time and now my yard is just the way I want it. I looked at other tool rental rental places and no one at a better price than New caney tool rentals. I would highly recommend them if you're in the north Houston area and are looking for a quality machine to get a job done around your house or work site. they treated me great I suspect they've been doing that with all their customers for the 40 years they've been open. read more

I have rented from this place many times every single time it seems that they are so picky on how clean the machine is when I return it I cleaned it as best I could and they still said it was not good enough and charge me a $30 cleaning fee. I rented a concrete machine it's going to be a little dirty and it was no dirtier when I picked it up when I dropped it off again. Will not rent from this place again Less and finally learned that people are rude also. read more
