Mr Billy is Heaven sent from God. His passion to go far beyond customers expectations is priceless, especially in these days of exchange for goods. Several months ago my wife bought me a new self propelled Power Smart lawn mower that turned out to be trash. If you need help trouble shooting, servicing, and or repair work done, this is the place to go. I needed to have some work done on a newer model portable generator so I started the search for a place that had a great service record/ reputation. That's how I ended up here and looking to Mr. Billy to get my generator back in tip-top shape. I have a busy work schedule and was worried about trying to load the heavy generator by myself. While talking with Mr. Billy about an estimate, I asked about and possible pick up and delivery service, and for a small fee Mr. Billy was able to arrange pick up the next morning! When he arrived we reviewed the issues on the unit, and I no doubt that I had contacted the best service provider in H-Town. I had a generator that I tried to use during the recent freeze and the thing did not want to run. I pulled the string and the string broke. I went to Lowes to get another string, put it on and still could not get it to start. After the freeze I took it to Billy's so this would not happen during the next disaster. When I met Billy, he was passionate and particulate about how he cares for his customers equipment. Billy gave me a run down on how to take care of the generator with regular scheduled maintenance tips that he prefers and gave me a list of such knowledge. When I picked my generator back up, he started it right up no issues and explained to me all the issues I had. He reiterated the suggestions he went over with me again when I dropped off the equipment just so that I would not have to bring it back unless there were other forces at work with it. Now that is what I call customer service, teaching and training so that his customers can save money by performing their own maintenance and spend the necessary money with him for unforeseen issues or regular wear and tear depending on usage rate. Billy has something special going on. His attention to detail and customer satisfaction goes beyond just dropping off and picking up your equipment. I was in need of service to my lawn mower and did all the research online on what could be the problem. Literally went to 2 other shops in hopes of a better diagnosis after I attempted and failed to address the carburetor and governor. Other places said the wait would be 2 to 3 weeks and cost this much. I gave Billy a call and when I finally arrived to his shop in the process of growing, he greeted and could troubleshoot by his ear alone. During his initial inspection he called and informed me of the problems with my weedeater and when it was discovered that he would need to order a new part for it, he shopped around for the best price. He keeps you informed throughout the whole time your possessions are in his care. When he returned my lawnmower and weedeater to me, they looked brand new. Not only does he start everything up in front of you to ensure it's working properly, if he sees something he doesn't like he immediately corrects it. I highly recommend Billy's business. This was the first time I have used his services and I had 2 lawnmower repairs and a blower. I called Billy to set up an appointment. I needed to get someone to drop off my mowers, Billy was able to pick up my equipments because I was in his delivery area. He thouroghly explained what he was going to do for each piece of equipment and kept me updated on the progress. My equipment is running better than when it was new! Executive Summary: Very, very impressive customer service. I will bring all my garden implements to Billy for care and repair. I have a frustratingly annoying Husky weed trimmer that invariably stops working every other year. I've taken it to other places who have fixed it but don't tell me exactly what the issue is. I took it over to Billy's shop this week, arriving at 4:50 PM and expecting to drop it off. To my delight, Billy quickly assessed the issue (the carburetor needed to be adjusted) and fixed it on the spot. I teach customer service as part of my job and I will certainly be adding Billy's story to my repertoire of strong Service Excellence examples. When I tried to get my generator started during the storm I ran into an issue where it was leaking gas after I tried cleaning it out myself. I ended up not using it due to the hazard it might cause. So to be prepared for hurricane season I set out to find someone to take a look at it and get it fixed. I found Billy's Small Engine Repair. When I arrived I explained my issue with the leaking gas and Billy did an inspection right there in front of me. To my surprised there was no leak. Billy explained what possibly could have been the issue at the time but assured me I did not have a leak after a thorough inspection. He was straight forward, honest and professional. My mower was long overdue for a tune-up and I was pleased to find that Billy could pick it up and do the work within a couple of days. I drove from Cypress to Bill's shop & store called The Lawnmower Depot. It was a drive but worth it. I purchased a 30 inch riding mower from Bill instead of getting one from Lowe's or Home Depot because his price was better AND he prepped and delivered the mower for FREE! Great customer service, he showed us how to operate the mower plus if I ever need repairs and service, I know who to call. Also, the mower was too big for my wife, 5ft tall, she was having troubles reaching the break pedal, so Bill adjusted the mower so that my wife could operate it. Bill also gave me advice on mowing and tossed in a much plug, no extra charge. New battery, full tank of gas, free delivery... tell me Home Depot would do that! Not. Thanks Bill! read more

Billy's Small Engine Repair, was a godsend. My riding mower hadn't been working since 2019 then COVID shut down the world; I couldn't get anyone to service my mower. Until last week, I ran across Mr. Billy's shop on Google. Although it said closed, I called anyway he answered. I had no way of transporting my riding mower; Mr Billy came to picked up my mower; he fixed it in his shop and brought it back the same day. I was impressed by his professionalism; his attention to detail (cleaned up the mower, looks better than the day I purchased it), his punctuality and his way of giving me a prescription to keep my mower in tiptop shape. There's a new rattling sound on my mower after hitting a rock recently that I was concerned about (the mower is still fully functional, just wanted to be proactive). I also don't have reliable transportation to bring my mower to a shop, so Billy came out to pick up my mower and checked it out at my home. He spent a good 15 minutes inspecting the mower and couldn't find anything that needed repair. Rather than taking it in, only to tell me later there's nothing wrong (having me spend a couple hundred dollars in the process) he suggested we save ourselves the money and just let it ride. What can you say! Billy is professional and knowledge. A true master at his craft. I had a harbor freight predator 3500 inverter I couldn't get to start during the Houston icemeggadon. Thankfully I had another generator to get me through and looked online to find a reputable person to get this fixed. I wasn't in a rush, but thought I better get this done before hurricane season starts. He had it for 3 weeks which considering he had 83 repair jobs when I dropped mine off from the ice storm. After searching for a couple of weeks to buy a good used lawnmower, I came across Billy's and so glad I did. Billy is the most courteous, friendly person one could meet, who is proud of the refurbishing he does on all equipment he sells. Billy is a very personable guy who has a good grasp on customer service. The cost of the maintenance/repairs on my Husqvarna self-propelled walk-behind were right in line with the estimate Billy gave me. I just found this shop this week. I wish I had known about them a long time ago. Billy is great. I had a pressure washer that wouldn't start. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and he called me Friday that it was ready to pick up. Very fast turnaround and very reasonable charges for the work.
