Dealt with this company for decades. 3 strike rule for us as a contractor. First strike locks were…read moresheared off a roller window upon delivery as well as another unit bust cracked. Ordered a greenhouse window. Built backwards. Height was to be width, width was to be Height. Homeowner had a piece of plywood instead of a window. Argued with me that I approved then realized they messed up and credit me $840 towards purchase of originally charged $1700.00. So cost me $900 out of my pocket plus awkwardness with Homeowner. Then LANSING builds me framed screens for a new porch, sends $790 of screens 3inches short all around. No where near matching my proof sheet. The second order was made to big and wouldn't fit without severe modifications to already newly framed walls. I was told I myself had to call the manufacturer to settle the issue. Not them who I paid and ordered them through. Was told they will give me a good faith credit for future purchases from LANSING by the supervisor which then turned out to be a lie. I was then told to take my business somewhere else by Steve Silka the supervisor. I ended up returning $42,000 to contracted new clients for windows I sold for 3 different jobs after explaining the situation and that I didn't trust the company anymore. I contacted corporate with no reply. Just beware everyone! I've been in the business for over 3 decades and spent 100s of thousands with them in that time. and to be treated like this warrants a truthful review of this company. What a ashame. Because the potential clients suffer. I'm out $1400.00 in trim and labor for my men to remedy for this particular client. They lost my company as well as a couple others as explained to at a local contractors function. I'm not the only contractor that had major issues with this supervisor telling them he'd take care of it then turning around and telling them to do business elsewhere. When a contractor can't trust their supplier. How is the client on our side of the contractor able to as well. I gave them multiple chances to remedy. Even after told to tear the project apart to measure screens exact and waste more time and money let alone have my client have to go through this again. This review was warranted. Think twice with dealing with Lansing or Harvey anymore and definitely trusting Steve Silka the supervisor. (Will not let me edit this post so I apologize in advance for misspellings)

We have made purchases, through our contractor, from Harvey Industries for several home projects…read more They have a large showroom with many options for someone who is building or remodeling. Were it not for our last experience, they would rate four or five stars. Had it not been for a series of mistakes and their reluctance to correct them, this review would not have been written. We talked with our contractor about having two outside doors replaced. He had us go to the showroom at Harvey Industries to decide specifically on the doors to install. The representative there seemed friendly and helpful. We made our choice and proceeded. As soon as the doors were installed, it was apparent that they were not the model we ordered. The ones we got were not our first choice, but they were installed and we didn't want to put our contractor or ourselves through the process of exchanging them. The next problem came when we found that Harvey had sent the wrong hardware for the doors. They are outside doors and we ordered keyed entry. The hardware was not for keyed entry. They told our contractor; "sorry for the mistake, we'll order the right ones and that will take a week to ten days." After ten days we inquired as to the status of the hardware. By this time we were fairly tired of being unable to lock or unlock our doors from the outside. The people at Harvey looked around and could find no record of having ordered the right hardware. Again, we were told it would be an ADDITIONAL week to ten days to get the hardware. I talked to them and asked if, since they had dropped the ball multiple times, if they couldn't expedite the order and preferably, get it here overnight. I was told that was not possible. At this point, our contractor was beginning to question his relationship with them. I believe his annual purchases from them are in six figures. He said if they would like to continue to do business with him it would be a good idea to overnight him the material. This was beginning to be a reflection on his ability to complete a project. Low and behold, after weeks of inept service they overnighted the locksets. It is unlikely we will do business with Harvey Industries again.
