Our outside street communal mailbox lock was busted - not sure how, but that's another story for another day. I picked New Citi Locksmith for two reasons: 1) They came highly reviewed on yelp; 2) After I decided to select them, I believe they were the company that helped my elderly mom when she was locked out of her car (locked her keys in the trunk, no way to get spare, had to open the car, and open the trunk lock inside the car). Kuldeep was responsive, he quoted me a fair price, and we scheduled an appt. He was on time, greeted me, and went right to work. His quotes were based on whether or not he had to drill it to replace it. He worked on the broken lock for about 5 mins and was able to gain access to open the lock without having to drill (saving me money), he replaced it, he tested all 3 keys that came with the new lock. Absolutely a joke Walked in to get a duplicate car key made . the very first thing the guy said at the counter was oh we have to wait for my boss. I need to call him. I don't know if I know how to do it. It went downhill after that he told me 20 minutes to make my car key. I was there for two hours. The owner was very rude. Spoke to me in a very condescending disrespectful tone of voice. I asked if I could use the bathroom he points down to the hallway I go in the bathroom. It smells like urine extremely bad I go out. You could obviously tell they didn't know what they were doing. Then the owner after 2 1/2 hours proceeds to tell me that his work van got broken into during the weekend and he doesn't have the proper tools or the wire that is needed to make a duplicate key. His helper tried to shut my hood. He didn't even know how to shut the hood on my car. I had to tell them that the hood was not shut. He did not put the battery back correctly. I had to tell him that the battery wasn't connecting correctly this whole thing was a joke. I grabbed my original key said this is bullshit and walked out. Do not go to this place. read more

Very professional service. Our digital, keypad activated deadbolt died suddenly on a Sunday evening. Kuldeep and his colleague came and had to destroy the lock in the end, but it was done in a clean manner such that our door was intact save the hole where the lock was. Our front door lock wasn't locking. The lock wasn't engaging with the strike plate. I looked up a couple of videos of how to fix it but the solutions didn't work. We couldn't go out through the front door for several weeks because it was a pain to get the door to lock so we had to go out through the garage door. Finally I looked up some locksmiths and this was the first business that that popped up in my Yelp search. Kuldeep was able to come quickly and fixed the lock quickly. Kuldeep was attentive, asking a few follow-up questions over the phone (e.g. shlage vs. kwiskset). It was obvious he knew what the problem was and how to fix it. He came to our house that afternoon and did the repair work, which was to replace the interior faulty mechanism of the lock. The exterior knob remained the same, and I was glad about that because it meant that our main housekey would still work for that entryway. I was impressed at how reasonable the invoice was. I visited their Dublin store as a walk-in. Had to wait a while to get served - young employees were chatting in the back room. But once they got going the programming and key cutting process for my duplicate Subaru key was fast, smooth, and they key remote worked perfectly. I bought my own key-blank online so the cost ended up being about a third of what the dealer quoted and about half of what a nearby shop quoted. Programmable key blanks are typically marked up 50-100% so if you bring your own it will save you some money. But make sure you do your research and get a quality part (look for a large number of positive reviews on amazon, etc.). Cheap key blanks may not program correctly. Overall I would recommend New Citi Locksmiths and would use them again. But I might call for an appointment next time. read more
