Got a call five minutes after leaving - Was quoted 5 days and 120$ for my small bag of laundry. I was so caught off guard I reluctantly sort of agreed, kinda, but not really. Called them back like a minute after hanging up, told them I was on my way back to get my sack, I'm not using them. Only to be told, "Sorry, your clothes are already in the wash, come get them on Wednesday" Had to pay the 120$ to get my clothes back 5 days later. Recently dropped off two dress shirts, a suit jacket, and pants. They told me it would be either 3 days or 5 (pick up Friday or Monday) and they would give me a call. Monday came with no call. Called Tuesday with no answer. Called back Wednesday and they told me it was ready. They weren't sure how long it has been ready and the girl on the phone seemed irritated that I was asking. Have done business here in the past with excellent results. Not sure if it's changed owners or management since the last time I went, but I will no longer be going. I have plenty of garments which are in need of TLC. I dropped in here after work one evening to have some buttons sewn and seams cleaned up. I was surprised that it would take a week to get my four items take care of. I guess that's not a surprise since this place is primarily a dry cleaner. On any given night, you can see plenty of people dropping by to get clothes cleaned. For me, this is one of the closest places to go to get minor repairs made on clothes. My five items were taken care of here. I called a week later, but I was told, I'd need an extra day. That's fine. I then picked up my newly repaired clothes the following day. The bill was somewhere around $5 (I was fine with that since several buttons were needed for a couple of pieces). One thing I wasn't happy with was that one of my T-shirts, which I brought in to fix some seams under the arm, only lasted one wearing. Sure enough the seam came undone. Yeah, I know I'm buff and all, but c'mon, I'd like my clothes to be somewhat durable to normal wear. In the future, I think I might just have to make the venture to Pasco to have Hans (http://www.yelp.com/biz/hans-custom-tailoring-pasco) take care of my clothing repairs---they're faster, more reliable, and strictly devoted to tailor-ing. New City (a chain in the area) is more suited for something quick and not too complicated. 2.5 stars that I round up since it was just my first time. read more

Greeted by a very friendly employee. Dropped off a pair of buckle jeans to have the broken zipper replaced. They quoted me $15 which is a very fair price. I picked up the jeans a week later and was surprised to see that not only did they put a much better quality zipper on the jeans but they also cleaned and pressed the pants. All for $15 bucks.... Will definitely be going to this place for any future dry cleaning needs. read more

Gave them a try and cannot recommend. I took my dad's letterman jacket in simply to be cleaned up as best it could for a nostalgic Christmas present. $54.00 was going to be the price to clean it up "as best we can but a lot of these spots on the leather sleeves will not come out." Of course that was alright. After having it for an ENTIRE WEEK, I was happy to finally pick it up. Through the bag it looked great, the blue was popping and the gold was brighter that it had been. Once I got work and removed the bag to get it packed up to send to dad, something on the jacket felt extremely hard and wasn't budging. I come to find that both leather sleeves are completely shriveled up and are as hard as a rock up at the top of where both sleeves begin. They are completely compressed to the point were I couldn't even get my arm through the sleeve. I was so unbelievably disappointed that (I) had done this to my dads high school jacket. I would advise removing the clothing from the bags for inspection before leaving because I didn't see it right away. They had to have, and they let me pay and walk out of the store with it this way. No phone call about it, nothing. I did get refunded my money but only after I demanded it. They dropped the ball at every turn. Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache. Still working on repairing the sleeves or replacing them. Either way, dad will get his jacket back! read more

Picked it up two days before I was to leave on vacation and the dress was still too long (yes, I wore the same shoes each time). Forced to pay $30 for alterations that make the dress still unwearable. Rude, rude service. Will not step foot in either of their locations ever again. read more

I recently took a red and white holiday run to be cleared at New City cleaners per the instructions on the back of the rug "dry clean only." A week later I pick up the rug and it is not longer red and white, but red and pink. I was furious! I opened the rug while in the store and the clerk immediately saw what had (I know they noticed before I picked it up and was hoping I would get home before I opened it) happened and acknowledged the mistake saying "I think we can fix that." A day later I get a call from Brenda saying she spoke with Mr. Cha and his comment was - that sometimes happens, to bad (paraphrasing). I took some brand new leggings in to have them hemmed. I asked the girl at the counter if the seamstress could use do the exact same stitching as the current leggings. She told me yes. I explained that I had another shop do some other leggings and they did not use the same stitching. She assured me that this place would. I returned a week later to get them and the stitching was not the same. I paid $32 for the hemming, which I think is OUTRAGEOUSLY high, and they weren't done right. I told the girl that she told me they would stitch the same as the new leggings. She said she remembered and said she would talk to the seamstress. I got a call back the next day and she told me that the seamstress said they did not have the machine at that shop to do the serger stitching. I said, "you should have told me that when I dropped them off and explained I wanted the same stitching." I told her I would be coming back to get my pants, but that I wanted a discount. She said I'd have to talk to the owner about that, but she doubted I would get a discount. I told her that if that's the case then I would never give them my business again and I would spread a bad review about them. So here's my bad review. I wouldn't waste a dime in any of their locations. Also, I took a maxi dress in to have them hem it a couple years ago and same story. They hemmed it with a cheap stitching, which ended up coming undone and it was still too long after they said they hemmed it. And yes, I wore the same shoes for measuring before and after. I can't believe I forgot that and took my leggings into them. Whatever you do, avoid this place. read more

And the owners not only didn't own up to this error, but laughed as tears were dripping down my mother's face. There were massive discolorations all over the back, when it was supposed to be press only. It would have been nice to receive an apology of ownership, and a fully intact wedding dress. If you are considering using this cleaners for any important garment think twice!! I recently took my wedding dress to them to be cleaned and pressed before my wedding. They said it would take three days. I called to be sure it was there on the date they gave me and it wasnt ready. I continued calling for the next 4 days and it still was not ready. So it ended up taking 8 days not 3. Then when I got it out o put it on before my wedding they had ruined it. Every stitch across the front and the gathering was completely gone. It was a mess. I had to frantically try and pin it up the best I could. After calling them they didn't seem to care. I paid almost $100 for them to ruin my dress. I won't be using them again. I have had clothes dry cleaned here for over 30 years. This fall their credit card machine failed and they asked my husband to pay cash when he picked up dry cleaning. The next visit, the owner asked me to check into the situation because he had written the date down as unpaid. I thought the question would be easily cleared up. Today when I tried to resolve the matter, the owner did not believe me that the bill was paid in cash and required that I pay again for services that had already been paid. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND RISK YOUR CLOTHING HERE! They are incompetent and greedy. After giving them my regular business for 10 years, they ruined a dry-clean-only labeled Chico's jacket (4 years old but in excellent condition, having only been worn less than 20 times), and what's worse, they didn't even own up to it and point it out to me when I picked it up and paid for it. Instead, I noticed it when hanging the garment in my car after leaving the shop, so I went back inside, and the front desk girl said she couldn't help me, I needed the manager, who was at the other location 5 minutes up the road. When I asked if she would at least refund me the cost of having the item cleaned, since it was clearly ruined (the entire hem was shredded and there appeared to be "water" like damage at the cuffs and on the back) she couldn't do that, either. I went to the other location, but the manager was not there, and I was to come back in the morning. I told her I had to work, and left the jacket there with my number for him to call me. She called the next afternoon, saying they would give me store credit. I said I didn't want store credit, as I intended never to bring anything else to them to risk ruining it. I wanted a refund of my cleaning bill and compensation for my irreplaceable jacket (Chico's no longer has it available; it was a $120 jacket new 4 years ago). I told her I would be in would be in shortly to speak to the manager. When I arrived, he tried to tell me he called Chico's and was told it was "very old," to which I corrected him and said it was only 4 years old and in excellent condition when I dropped it off. He then tried to point out where the damage was, which I had already seen. I asked what his point was and explained that no amount of excuses could forgive the fact that he had ruined the jacket. I asked for $50 cash. He then offered the credit again, which I told him was not reasonable given he had ruined a perfectly good jacket that I could not replace and I had done nothing wrong. I finally obtained my cleaning fee and an additional $25 cash, which, again, does me no good since I can no longer get that jacket regardless of the price. But I informed him I would go online to let people know they should avoid doing business with him, and he was losing a long-time customer. I sure hope it was worth his greed. read more
