Audio books , large type, music cd's and movie dvd's this place has it all check it out. They are also part of RCLS so if they don't have it they can't get it from some other library for you easily.

Also, you can't get a library card if you live out of town. Maybe that's a standard for libraries, I can't say. But you can't access their computers without a library card. In short, it's a very nice library to get some quiet time to read and get work done. But you're going to need to use your own hotspot access if you want to read books on your Kindle or IPad. I sincerely hope they fix this and join everyone in the 21st century. Until then, the New York Sports Club in the same shopping center has WiFi... but it's not quiet there in the least. :-/

The library is well maintained and has a beautiful outdoor patio and garden. They do a lot of…read moreprogramming and try very hard to create a great sense of community. I really enjoyed their summer reading program they offered this year for adults. My biggest complaint is with a few of the staff members. There are a few staff who are very rude and unhelpful. A few times I asked an older gentleman for help and he quickly responded in a rude matter, saying I can't help you. He wouldn't even try to ask a colleague or attempt to help me. I finally found a different librarian and they had to remedy the situation and teach their colleague the process. On the other hand, there are many librarians who are very friendly and helpful, but it doesn't go for everyone. In addition, they are very quick to accuse you of damaging books. The smallest tear or stain requires you to pay a large fine to replace the book. There is something called wear and tear that happens when books are lent out to people and that's the reality of a library. Overall, I am happy with the library and appreciate the resources.

They also recently made upgrades to the interior, including a new and improved young adult section, and also added multiple new computers and seats. It's usually very quiet here, minus an hour or two after Brookside Middle School and Hillside Elementary School students are dismissed at the end of the school day, since lots of children come to the library with their parents, or stop by to do homework. The staff is also very friendly, minus one kind of scary employee. Forget Redbox, just order DVDs through the BCCLS site and put your tax dollars to work.

It is smaller than the main branch but it is cozy and feels like home. I know that this library played a vital role in helping me achieve my dreams and achieve academic success.
