When I said I had an appointment they looked at me like I had two heads and then said they were "glad they stayed" The woman who I later learned was the owner told me she is not a loctician she is just a braider who knows what to do with locs, she then proceeded to call my hair dusty "like I was working construction" because of the product build up and said I started my locs with my hair too long. She also said she needed a day when she had "more time" to actually do it. So I wasn't getting my hair done that day. By the end she could not give me a price and said it would be "more than 150" and that she "prefers cash" I'm not sure how I'm supposed to bring cash when you cannot tell me a price. I left without getting my hair done and found a lovely place closer to my home that had fair pricing and kind staff.

During…read moremy consultation, the stylist recommended bleaching my entire head and assured me that the integrity of my hair would remain intact. Although I already had some previously lightened pieces, my entire head was re-bleached. Unfortunately, the condition of my hair after the service was severely compromised. When I left the salon, my hair felt almost waxy, smelled strongly of bleach for about a week, and experienced significant breakage and damage. I ultimately had to see another stylist to address the damage, and we had to cut 7 inches of my hair to remove the most compromised sections and prevent further breakage. On top of that, I paid $600 for the service. To be fair, the salon itself is beautiful and the staff were friendly. However, the quality and outcome of my particular service were extremely disappointing. It has taken me over a year of care and recovery to get my hair back to a healthier condition, and my hair still has not returned to the length it was before this appointment. I understand that color correction can be a complicated process, but I feel the condition of my hair afterward was unacceptable, especially given the assurance I received during my consultation and the $600 cost of the service. I'm sharing my experience so that anyone considering a major color correction understands the potential risks and makes an informed decision.

I showed him a picture of my previous haircut and said that's what I wanted again. My hair was shoulder length and I told him my hair curls up so it have to be just a little longer than that. The top was in layers so that I could curl it. This man took a razor blade to my hair and all but shaved all my hair off! The lady working with him Dottie took one look at my hair and said why did you cut her hair so short. She looked at me and I made a look to show that I was not happy with it. She said you didn't want it that short did you? And I said no! Then she asked why he would cut my hair like that. I went to pay and they don't take credit cards so I had to go over to the max machine and pay the fee to be able to come back and pay for this lousy haircut. You would think they would give me a break or not charged at all considering how horrible it was! I came home and attempted to curl it and it's too short to even sit in my tiniest curling iron.
