I'm going to keep this short DO NOT STAY HERE!! Not only was this hotel absolutely disgusting but on top of it dangerous. There were multiple homeless people banging on our door and window and pulling on our door handle trying to get in. If that's not bad enough when we went to speak to the hotel staff about this they lied and said they weren't homeless that they were guest who were just trying to find their room. this place has no water pressure. The shower is so tiny that you can't turn around in it with all the lights on except the bedside table there's not enough illumination to see across the room. The bathroom light is so damn that you can't see the shave I give this place a zero, but you're probably pay more attention to one, but this is absolutely. We went on Booking.com and we're reviewing just like a place to lay our heads for the night and I don't know why but the reviews seem pretty good and when we checked in, it was very quiet, but we had booked the room because we were going to a family barbecue and when we got back, there was Roaches two pictures put them in a cup went to the manager and showed him and he said that that was impossible. OK so now I'm scooping up roaches and I asked him to give me my money back and he refused and so I leave a unsatisfactory customer and so now I have to go through all these things through booking to get my $80 back for this room And he should've just the manager should've just taken care of this issue so please people do not stay there. It's not worth it especially when you get a fight for your money back you're unsatisfied that's not right anyways I just want everybody to know what this hotel really has to offer. read more

I had a bad day, sort of walking a mile in the wrong direction out at The Amboy Crater, and having to walk another mile to find my car, in the desert. I had not made a reservation for a room because I wasn't sure which direction I was taking and that bit me. Barstow was nearest but the confluence of SR58, I-15, and I-40 means that there are almost never empty rooms. I headed back toward Corona but wanted to try Victorville, being that it was a lot closer. This motel popped up as a good possibility. It's a 1950s motel that has been updated. When my parents were driving across the country, we stayed in a few of them. If you have been in one, you'll remember the small rooms. This one was bigger than a newer motel in San Diego I used. I went to the office and asked about a room--$65 something. That isn't cheap, but when you didn't plan...beggars can't be choosers. She handed me the room key and TV remote control. She asked if I needed internet access and since I was going to sleep off my desert day, I did not. The full-sized bed was firm and everything was clean. The bathroom was equally clean. It was pleasant. Apparently, no one was on either side, which was wonderful after several days with dogs next to my room elsewhere. Disgusted. This place was the worst my Husband and I have EVER stayed in. The only reason for the "good" reviews, the owners know people that do them for them. I couldn't believe how awful the rooms smelled and when I asked for a new bedding set (see pics) I was told I didn't know what I was talking about, and that she does the laundry herself! Also I asked for a rag and cleaner, I was told if I didn't like it leave, (without my money of course) I will never EVER stay at this disgusting place again. This motel is mom and pop style, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was small but adequate, comfy bed and pillows. The room had a refrigerator and microwave but no coffee maker. There are is a fast food restaurant across the street where we got coffee in the morning. The bathroom was clean and newer. The Wi-Fi was fine. The price for 2 adults was reasonable. There is a strict no pet policy, I was asked at check in if we had a pet and the policy is on the web site. The man at the front desk was friendly and efficient. I would stay there again. read more

My third stay but not my last!! Once again I give the New Corral Motel 5 stars!! Yes it's an older spot but honestly the owners have made it so clean and fresh/ bed is comfy lots of pillows (good ones! Nice and fluffy!) sheets clean clean clean and fresh smelling. Bathroom and shower sparkling clean - towels fresh and white - soap shampoo and conditioner and a gooooood blow dryer are included - Lovely new microwave and mini fridge - clean and shiny and newer - so nice and unexpected these days - Best of all I'm at the high desert home show at the fairgrounds so being able to drive 5 minutes back and forth is so awesome - Please consider this lovely, comfortable, sparkling clean and convenient motel for your next victorville visit - especially if you are at the San Bernardino fairgrounds for a stay! read more

OK, real review here. Stayed here 20 plus times. The good: nice beds, cool AC, has microwave, and fridge. TV's are great with lots of channels. Friendly manager. The price is always great! Negatives: The floors are dirty. Our feet get black after 1 day and it takes days to wash off. They need to deep clean the carpets and not just vacuum. Area is ghetto as F, but the riff raff stays away from these rooms, which is nice and I believe is because the owners take an interest. So there you have it, the good and the bad. I say stay here for sure, but dont take off your shoes on the carpets. read more

We ended up staying here because the Green Tree cancelled our reservation for whatever reason. We were pretty upset about the Green Tree's service, but the New Corral was nice enough to take us in very last minute. The rooms and the area could use a little more love but I guess that is how it is in Victorville. THE ROOM: Small but clean enough.. The only thing for me was that it kind of smelled like a nursing home. The rooms had some good channels though so that helped and there was also free wifi. Parking is kind of sketch. But thank you to the dude working up front that was super nice to us. I honestly could not stay more than 1 night..mostly because of the experience of the town, we had to end the trip early. read more

No frills motel, room was fine, under $70. Very nice front desk. Gave me a USB charger when I really needed it. Could see the security monitor and many exterior cameras which is a good thing. Parking area was very well lit at night. In general it's not in a great looking area. Funny thing I was getting ready to leave on my motorcycle at 4:30AM and a little guy with a Hello Kitty backpack comes running towards me talking to himself and asks me for a cigarette and a dollar and starts dancing. Obviously high. Wasn't a great way to start my morning and I got the heck out of there ASAP. I AM HELPING YOU DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE! Me and my boyfriend were looking for a quick place to stay the night at. The room reeked of smoke and it was a non-smoking room, disgusting, dirty, the guy at the front Dess was absolutely horrible to talk to. we actually booked it through Hotels.com and after being there and realizing we could not stay there another minute, we contacted Hotels.com due to the terrible communication and language of the guy at the front desk I did not want to deal with him anymore so hotels.com went ahead and called him for us and called us back to tell us that the guy was very rude and refused to work with them on finding a resolution. There was two flies also, and their bedsheets had hair all over them, disgusting dirty walls. Again the guy at the front desk was so rude he was trying to start a yelling match with us!!!! I as well look at reviews before booking a place but this booking was so last minute that I just went for it so PLEASE listen to my review when I say DO NOT EVER go there it is better to sleep in your car then to go to that place!!!!!!!!!!!!! And trust me, I know what you're thinking! You're probably thinking that this is just some dramatic review of someone who didn't get along with the guy at the front desk because I myself think that when I see negative reviews sometimes but I swear to you you are wasting your money and you will feel the same way! The room looked OK and the price was reasonable The room has a microwave and a mini refrigerator. BUT --I checked in at 10 pm on what had been a hot day in August. It had cooled off outside, but the room was VERY hot when I first entered it--much warmer than it was outside. I had to run the air conditioner for about an hour for the room to reach a comfortable temperature before I could go to bed. I'm sorry but if you know the room is going to be occupied that night, turn on the AC before the guest shows up or at least open the window. --The ONLY electric outlet I could find at first in the room was in the bathroom, so I had to leave my phone in the bathroom to charge it. Upon closer examination, there was an electric outlet under the window, which I didn't see because there was a small table and chairs in front of it. So there was an available electric outlet in the room which I should have seen. (Note: I didn't move any furniture to find any additional outlets.) --The free WiFi works OK from my Windows laptop, but I couldn't stay connected from my Android phone or my Android tablet. It's an "open" WiFi channel that requires you to agree to a set of terms and conditions and enter a password. So from a WiFi point of view, there's no password, and a browser window has to open and be redirected to a web page with a URL that's unknown to you so you can enter the password and click "OK". The web page isn't formatted for mobile phones, so it was in a tiny font on my phone and tablet. On my Android Pi tablet, the WiFi page recognizes that a non-WiFi protocol sign-on is required and a web browser window opens automatically. On my Android Marshmallow phone, the WiFi settings page doesn't understand that. If you open a web browser, it will probably redirect, but if you open anything else that needs a WiFi connection, it won't redirect to a web page. And once I connected once, when I was disconnected I couldn't reconnect without telling Android to "forget" the WiFi network. When I tried to reconnect, the WiFi connection would drop before I could open a web browser to try to enter the password. So basically the WiFi was useless on the Android phone and the Android tablet. I've had the same problem at other hotels that use a similar service--it doesn't work well with Android and it doesn't work at all with a three-year old version of Android still in common use by those of us who don't buy a new phone ever two years. So a VERY warm room when I first entered it and the free WiFi only worked for me with a Windows laptop. I'd never stay here again and I think you can do better. read more

I stayed here 2 weeks ago. The "rearing horse" sign out front is a Victorville landmark. That's the only good thing about this place. First night, other guests slamming their doors, loud noises, and the trash truck emptying the dumpster at 5:27 a.m. Second night, argument in next room, slamming doors, Manager did ask them to quiet down at 11:30 p.m.; they didn't, and argueing continued until 2:00 a.m. I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor will I ever stay there again. Management needs to realize that travelers are tired, need rest, and Management has to enforce the rules or lose business. read more

i stay at the new corral 3-25-17 to 3-26-17 the previous reviewer said it all , i might of been there the same week end. I stayed here while my father was in icu and this place is terrible the room stunk there was loud Spanish music playing until middle of the night. These 2 women kept knocking on our door saying that we had to pay them extra money or else they'd hurt us it woke up my 3month old daughter they were knocking so hard And when I called management to tell them about it he said oh no just tell them to go away and so I did and that seemed to make them mad because then they tried to break my doorknob off to get in so I called management again and he said "I told you to just tell them to go away I cannot help you just tell them to go away" so I told him I was going to call the police and he told me if I called the police I would have to leave because that is causing problems for his business so we packed our stuff up and checked out at 3am. Management is rude and ridiculous priced for a room the size of a porta potty. read more
