We stayed in cabin 11 and the heater is loud when it kicks on and you hear banging noises coming from it all night. First and last time we stay here. This place needs better maintenance.

I was amazed by how beautiful and tranquil Wrightwood is, and by how much this house felt like "home" while I was there. The owners know the area really well, and are a wealth of information. They are also very interesting and fun to hang out with, especially if you're going up there by yourself, like I did. All in all, my stay at Mt. High was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be back! Oh, I should also mention that my bed was VERY comfortable, the house feels warm and cozy like a cabin in the woods should, and it is very quiet up there. Also, there is a deck with a bench swing where I could sit, have tea, and meditate. Honestly, I don't know what more anyone can ask for.

I njoy my snow-board and not in the mood to drive up to Big Bear (and spend twice the money on gas, food etc) - so Wrightwood is my all time fav spot when it snows. Oh I also figured out over the years that when it rains in LA it snows in Wrightwood. It's not "scientifically accurate" but that's just what I noticed. Anyways, I just got myself a cool fast two seater so now I have an excuse to get out of LA traffic any chance I get... so I ended up in Wrightwood since Hwy 2 is right there (awesome drive, curves etc). So I decided to spend the night and drive some more the next day... well, since I stayed here before in the winter, and had a great experience, I figured I'll give them a shot and see if they accept guests in the summer time... well, i was welcomes (once again) in open arms with a friendly smile. Same warm home even without the snow outside - KOOL. I had a great local pizza for dinner and a great night of sleep, allowing me to hit the road in the AM and cruise. Now that I have the roadster for summer time, I know I'll be back for more visits both summer and winter. I also know where I can stay all year long! Very clean, organized and friendly home. Great value - can't beat that (not even close). Oh, on a side note, I arrived to Wrightwood on Friday PM (after work) and found that there is a really cool Farmers Market in town. Worth checking out as well. Oh, another side note, I noticed Highway Patrol hiding on Hwy 2 in the section between the 138 and Wrightwood, so keep it slow in that section ;-)

Every detail was so creative, planned with intention and executed to perfection! So many photo opportunities for the bride, groom and wedding party! The tables were beautifully decorated and stunning! Some tables were in full sun until later in the evening. Maybe some shade for those tables? The grazing table was beautifully crafted and they had 2 staff members adding the guests selections in a cup. Another staff member walked around with quesadilla appetizers. They also had a bar with signature drinks. Dinner was a buffet of tri-tip, salmon, mashed potatoes, green beans, Ceasar salad and rolls. The dessert table was under a rustic gazebo with a chandelier. Stunning! In the beginning of reception, part of desserts were in the sun. It would be nice if there was a way to have some shade on it for hot summer days. The DJ had many guests dancing on the dance floor and played really good music! Having an area for s'mores was a nice touch. They had the cutest rustic cabins, not far from the wedding reception area. Our adorable studio cabin ~Pine Rose~ was definitely a memorable stay! Here's the good: free parking. Now for the rest. Starting with security--or the lack of it. The only visible security was a guy in a security uniform wandering around the "bistro" during breakfast and staring at guests. Other than that, anyone can walk into the lobby, onto the patio, into the bar, up the elevators, and onto the guest floors. No key access is required anywhere. The Wi-Fi situation is also concerning. There's a guest network, but there are also several suspicious room-linked networks showing up. Whether they're legitimate or not, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. The lobby bistro was disappointing. The food was bland, watery, and overcooked. When I ordered tea, it arrived in a teapot with a broken handle. Not exactly the level of hospitality you'd hope for. The elevator didn't inspire confidence either. The doors began opening before the elevator had fully stopped at the floor, which felt more alarming than convenient. The room itself was pretty janky. A decorative scarf tossed across the bed seemed to be doing a lot of heavy lifting in the design department. The bathroom sink was missing the drain cover, the bed squeaked and creaked with every movement, and the walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room. There's only a few tv stations and no streaming options. The second floor was noisy overall, with parking lot sounds carrying late into the night and starting up again early in the morning. If you're hoping for a good night's sleep, lower your expectations. The pool and spa area were equally disappointing. The hot tub had food and something dark floating on the surface, and children were using it unsupervised. The view from the pool isn't relaxing either--unless freeway signs are your idea of scenic. What bothered me most was how misleading the photos are. The pool looks lovely online. The room photos show bathrobes that don't actually exist. The food photos displayed throughout the hotel look appetizing and polished, while the actual meals that arrive bear little resemblance to what's advertised. Overall, the photos sell a completely different experience than the one you'll actually get. Aside from free parking, I struggled to find much to recommend here.

Update**** checked out of this hotel where I noticied they…read morecharged me a $200 pet fee. I did not have a pet as I worked 14 days straight out there. Completely ridiculous. No reasoning with them either, they just said oh well management is charging you. AVOID THIS HOTEL**** Work brought me to Lancaster and got to stay at this hotel for 14 nights and I must say that location is the best part of this hotel. The second best thing is how modern and new this hotel is. It was defenitly better than what I expected. Plus, there's a Starbucks right next door which is a major plus. Reasonable price for all the amenities you recieve. Rooms are super nice and spacious. Loved the full kitchen and how everything was designed/set up. Bathroom was super spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Only negative thing is they charge $10 a night for parking yet my employee's Honda got broken into and they tried stealing it with "security" patrolling the lot. Thankfully the thief couldn't start the car. No cameras apperently in parking lot either. That's really the only negative of this place.
