Fred built us beautiful builtins, redid our kitchen and our bedroom, put in a projector for our media room, ran ethernet cables throughout our walls, solved drainage problems in the basement (simply and quickly!), sub-contracted and managed workers to install HVAC in our house and install new garage doors, put in radiant floor heating, pulled a rotting floating dock out of our pond and rebuilt it, and even put together our outdoor hot tub for us. When workers came to replace our gutters and botched the job he got them to come back and address the issue until the gutters worked perfectly. I've yet to find a job he can't do or find the right sub-contractor for (and then manage them to get the job done). His work is beautiful, and he often has thoughts on better ways to do things than what we thought we wanted. Freds availability to manage work is particularly amazing because his work is on our vacation home where we are not frequently present. I wish I could clone Fred so he could work on our city place as well.

Fred Kopilak, with custom cabinet experience and a complete skill set, turned out to be just the kind of contractor we wanted. Fred's work was excellent and well thought out. We ended up with a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. His suggestions provided us with a finished product that is unique and truly outstanding. The work was done on schedule and on budget. A final word on Fred's character. I feel that being able to rely upon a craftsman's work and integrity is critical to a project of this sort. Fred proved time and time again that he could be trusted and relied upon. He didn't cut corners and delivered a first class finished product.

He comes in with a good game face on. Sounds professional and tells you what you want to hear. He…read moretold us the job would take 3 weeks, it's been 3 months. Nothing is ever his fault. When things go wrong he blames the product. According to him, I've purchased defective glass shower doors, toilet, and a sink with a "bad design". NEVER HIS FAULT! Yet my walls are crooked, and my tiles are not flush - my bathroom was taken down to the studs so this is his poor workmanship. He starts work at 9am, breaks for lunch at around 12:30, and leaves for the day at 3:30ish averaging approximately 5 hours per day. He was swearing in my home and I had to call him out on that. He charges for all materials used, so all the mud, nails, wood is ours. Yet when he began to pack up he packed OUR supplies as well. We FIRED him yesterday and deducted some money. We now have to finish what we spent thousands on him to do. When we asked where our supplies were he said that we both took a loss and that we should have a great holiday and move on. Okay, except he took the supplies before he was fired. Which makes him a horrible contractor and a thief. RUN!!!! I have photos of his poor workmanship if you care to reach out. I will gladly share.
