To anyone in line. Instead sat there talking crap about how a kid spilled his icee. One employee could have cleaned it but 4 had to get involved and talk about it complaining etc. The only female at the counter constantly rolled her eyes and looked like she was more concerned about giving her input on the spilled icee than anything. She was not welcoming, no smiling, nothing. Rude attitude and tone. It was my first time and I told her that and she seemed annoyed because I was trying to see the menu. While I was putting butter on my popcorn I heard her same attitude to the next gentleman - an older man. Not warranted - she just had a shit attitude. If she was having a bad day she shouldn't have been there. As I told the Manager- customer service is important for returning customers and right now.. I don't see a need to return. The Manager has her hands full. My grand daughter did enjoy the games - another way to grab money. Marketing- I get it.

Their rather spectacular stage features a variety of acts; classical concert music, jazz, and choral arrangements, with a few surprises each year. The musicians are a mix of college faculty from SMCM and other local institutions, alumni, and current students, as well as featured professional soloists. The venue on the river is always beautiful, and while it's a ways out, it's directly on Route 5 and not difficult to find by car, and you won't be bothered by traffic for most of the way. Definitely reachable from DC or Annapolis or various suburbs. Parking is ample. Seats are not provided, but the area is grassy; this is the sort of scenario where towels and lawn chairs might be advised. Being a summer event, it is subject to thunderstorms. More frequently, however, it is subject to gorgeous sunsets in the background. The crowd is always at least close to full and blends county locals and people connected with the college, though it will depend on weather and the program for the night. The college does very little in the way of summer school, and thus there aren't generally a lot of residents around (a good thing for them, given that the festival is on their lawn). Various food and art vendors congregate next to the townhouse green, and sometimes local political campaigns. The concert itself and the parking are free. This is a great opportunity to see the college and the area and to experience musical performances which are worthy of a major urban venue, but welcome in this remote but special setting.

Free parking which is always a good thing. Very few fans showed up the game I was at, but the ones that were there were very kind. I did not see any hostility towards opposing fans. Instead of a club level that surrounds the bases they have a small two story structure behind home plate, making the stadium feel much smaller than it actually is. There is an outfield grass seating area with a basketball court and bumper boats which were not in use. Unlike most minor league stadiums I did not see a carousel.

We were vacationing in Ocean City and needed a break from the beach and traditional touristy activities. As great admirers of Harriet Tubman, my wife and I decided to visit the museum and were particularly excited to have a guided walking tour. I booked our tour online and we drove an hour and a half to Cambridge. As we pulled into the parking lot, the tour guide called and left a message saying she wasn't available. Apparently she had told the museum not to schedule tours for today, but their system had done so anyway. We went into the museum, trying to make the best of a frustrating situation. It was very limited and amateurish. That is not being critical, as it appears to be seriously underfunded and operated by volunteers. Just stating what we saw for others to be aware. it was basically a collection of printed materials with little, if any, original items unique to Harriet Tubman's lifetime. The museum director never greeted us. There were four or five people sitting and watching a PBS documentary. A couple of other groups walked in, looked around and then left. None of them were greeted either. Finally, I went up to the register and he asked if he could help me. I explained what had happened, and he chuckled, saying "Yeah, this happens sometimes. I guess the person who set up the system needs to fix that." He gave me $40 out of the cash register and that was it. No apologies or anything. After we left the museum, I texted the tour guide that he'd refunded our money only to find out that she had also done so online. We had to go back to the museum to give the $40 back. Total waste of a day of vacation. Again, I hate to be the grumpy guy leaving a bad review, but hopefully this will be helpful to someone somehow.

Maybe that's because my expectations were realistic and not that high; this is a very small island and there is not much on it at all. But if it's a tourist trap, it's a very pretty tourist trap, worth a visit for the sheer novelty of it. The historicity of the location is somewhat interesting, but what drew me is the idea of being out on the Potomac on one of the most isolated spots you'll likely find within driving distance of the nation's capital. This place is way out there. I mean, even if you're already in Southern Maryland, it's a significant drive from most anything of consequence. It is at least a bucolic ride, and you can expect clear roads. The museum is small but reasonably well done, but really just something to do as you to wait for the ferry. Waiting for the boat, I was greeted by a pair of stingrays flapping pleasantly at the surface of the water (not pictured, sorry); you're not far from ocean here I guess. The boat is small and the ride quite rough on a windy day, which I'm guessing is a lot of days; if you get seasick or have mobility challenges I would recommend against it. The north side on which you arrive is decidedly barren and cactus-ridden (sandal-wearers beware). However, walking to the south quickly leaves one on a clear trail surrounded by thick underbrush. The only things you're likely to hear are wind, birds, and bugs (thankfully, the wind factor tends to minimize the biting/stinging ones). A few locals might be out fishing, but you're likely to have a lot of peace and quiet. A picnic area, a monument, and a lighthouse are the main landmarks. The island is eroding away, and has been reinforced by rocks on all sides; the one appreciable beach is on the south side. Trying to traverse the wilder parts of the island is dicey at best, but if you simply want to bathe in the sun and sea air, you can find a place. The ferry runs on very limited hours (10-3 on weekends in season, and that's it), but I found somewhere between 1.5-2 hours on the island sufficient for a fairly complete visit, one that can be interspersed with a day trip by some of the other scattered Southern Maryland Parks. The cost isn't a ton ($7 for museum and a ride to the island), but note that they do charge for children over five.

When I brought it back with about half a dozen more cassette tapes, I was assured the job would be completed correctly this time. After stopping and receiving assurances they job was being worked, after months of that and no return calls on status, I finally asked from my tapes back. I was told the contents had been downloaded and would be emailed to me. That never happened either. Promises, promises, promises and excuses of weddings, death in the family, etc with no results means you EARN a bad review.
