We decided to take our kids to see inside out 2 on the hottest day this far, this summer…read more The ticket retrieval process was simple and self operated. We arrived at the time of our showing but there was a pretty long line at the concession. So we did miss all of the previews and walked in right as our movie was coming on. So it worked out. The concessions at this location are a little deterring. The staff moves slow, the options are not always available as shown on menus. Ex: only Cole flavored icee's were available today although they are supposed to be to have blue raspberry and cherry. The jalapeños for the nachos are always old and taste funny, this could cause patrons to become sick. The overall experience at this theater is always just ok. I prefer to make the drive to Virginia for the nicer theaters.

Absolutely terrible experience…read more We decided to see a movie mid-day on a Thursday. The parking lot was almost completely empty. We walked in and there was nobody at the ticket counter so we were forced to use the self order ticket computer, which was so slow that it timed out in the middle of us trying to order the tickets. I used the bathroom before the show and the first stall was missing a lock on the door. Our showtime was 12:00 and by 12:05 there was still nothing at all on the screen. I walked out and told an employee who said he would get it started. By 12:20 a different employee walks in the theater and tells us we need to move to another theater and join the 12:40 showing. We get new seats for that showing and we're told that someone would be there to comp us for the problem after the show.....not true. We see the movie and knew that there were scenes in the credits so we stayed to watch those, but as we did that an employee was walking in front of us cleaning up the theater. Not a relaxing movie day like we had hoped to have, I would really hate to see how terrible this place is when it's actually crowded.

It was our first time going to a movie theater in Kingstowne, Virginia and Regal Kingstowne movie…read moretheater. We splurged at got the most high end movie experience we could have: RPX admission with recliners to see the Devil Wears Prada II . The comfort of the black leather recliners were satisfactory but not the best experience I had in other movie theaters. The other movie seating areas in this theater location did not have recliners and cost less for a ticket. The service was good. The place was clean. The two tickets with a Diet Coke at 7 PM cost us about $50. Yet, we hardly go to the movies. We went to see a matinee movie over a year ago at LOOK Cinema, a luxurious movie experience. What is RPX? And is it worth it? The online definition: RPX, or Regal Premium Experience, is Regal Cinemas' premium theater format designed to offer better visuals, immersive sound, and enhanced seating than standard theaters. Screen & Projection: RPX screens are larger than standard Regal screens but smaller than traditional IMAX screens. In many locations, they feature high-quality digital projection with 4K resolution. Sound System: RPX theaters use Dolby Atmos or a proprietary immersive sound system, which delivers deep bass and enhanced surround sound. Seating Comfort: RPX seats are plush, recliner-style chairs with more space than regular theater seating. Movie Compatibility: RPX screens support 2D, 3D, and high-frame-rate movies, making them versatile for different genres. RPX is designed for those who want a premium experience without the massive screen size of IMAX. Matinee movie on a weekday is probably more economical and less crowded. If you love watching movies at Regal, getting membership for a year of unlimited movie passes for $26 a month at all Regal Movie Theaters. Unfortunately, it does not include RPX experience. Overall, I liked how close the movie theater location was to our home and that it was the best movie experience I could have at that theater. The movie was excellent. The theater was peaceful and quiet. There seem to be no one else in the RPX theater room. Parking was free , spacious, and in front of the movie theater. Despite being Monday night, the parking lot was crowded after the movie.

Great location and staff, but the theater itself falls short. I came here on Valentine's Day. And…read morequickly realized that. this location doesn't quite measure up to other Regal theaters in the area. The Good: The location is perfect for a night out, the wine selection is a nice touch, and the bathrooms were notably clean. The staff is also very friendly and professional, which I appreciated on a busy holiday! The Not-So-Good: * Seating: Very uncomfortable--there is no recline, which makes for a long sit. * Timing: The trailers didn't even start until 30 minutes after the posted movie time. * Popcorn: Even after requesting a fresh batch, it wasn't great. The kernels from the warmer had a weird black residue on them. * Audio: Once the movie finally started, the sound quality felt a bit flat and lacked that true surround-sound immersion. It's a convenient spot for new movie availability, but if you're looking for the full "premium" cinema experience, you might want to head to one of the other nearby Regal instead. Enjoy good people

So this is my local theater. I go here weekly and it's usually always an enjoyable experience. I've…read morerarely had problems here. The seats are really soft, so if I know a movie is gonna be LONG, I come here. The waiters and front desk are usually very nice and attentive (unless it's a sold out film and they're running around trying to get everyone). The food options here are pretty good! Don't expect Gordon Ramsay food, but it's better food than what you'd get at AMC. I do love how every Alamo is decorated in the fashion of their area. Because we're near DCA, our theater is an airport theme. It's really cute. I do have two qualms: Sometimes they turn off the escalators and if you're handicapped like me, there's no way to get up to the next level. They don't usually like customers using the elevators, but what can you do? Also they have big talk about kicking people out in their phones, but when you complain about someone, the waiters are too afraid to do anything. I saw The Apartment here and there was a guy literally talking on the phone. Three other customers complained about the guy and the waiters did nothing. I had to go over and yell at the guy myself. My BEST TIP for you: if you're hungry and want your food and drinks fast, get to your showtime 15 mins early. You'll have your stuff before the movie starts. If you come on time, you won't see any of that food until the 30 mins into the movie.

Theater 1 isn't clearly labeled and you just have to know it's the large main room. The ordering system also takes some getting used to. You start with a QR code but at a certain point it cuts off and you have to handwrite your order on a paper slip and press a button to call your server. In a very dark theater that's not practical, and there's no confirmation that the button was actually pressed. Service was inconsistent. We ordered bottomless popcorn and M&Ms. The M&Ms arrived after about 15 minutes but I had to remind them about the popcorn, which didn't come until nearly 45 minutes into the movie. We skipped ordering real food because we weren't confident it would arrive in time to enjoy during the film. That said, the chairs are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the pricing is noticeably better than other dine-in theaters in the DMV. It has real potential. Just go in knowing it rewards regulars more than first timers.

I definitely see why they try to have everyone order and be able to bring the food before the movie starts. Other than that the setting is great. My only complaint today was the female restrooms. All of the stalls had toilet tissue just sitting in the toilets. I did tell two people who worked there so hopefully they took care of it but in my opinion they should always have someone checking the restrooms.

Before the Michael movie began, my husband and I ordered popcorn, two milkshakes, and a meal for him (I believe it included skewers). Our total was over $70. My husband waited about 25 minutes for his meal before going to the counter to ask about it. He was told they were understaffed and returned to our seats. After another 25 minutes, the food still had not arrived. He went back to the counter, and they refunded only the meal he never received. In my opinion, the entire order should have been refunded because the delay significantly impacted our movie experience. My husband spent much of the beginning of the movie waiting and expecting his food, and ultimately had nothing to eat except popcorn. The bathrooms were also not well maintained. Multiple toilets were clogged and would not flush, leaving them filled with urine and toilet paper. The sinks were surrounded by water and strands of hair. In the family restroom, the toilet was continuously flushing, smelled strongly of urine, and the toilet seat was covered in dirt or some kind of buildup. I love the comfortable seats, but the poor service and lack of cleanliness made me hesitant to return. If I am paying premium prices for both dining and a movie, I expect timely service and clean facilities.
