The prior directors, Jessica and Anissa, and the current director, Misty, have all been great and have happily answered any question I had or engaged in a conversation if I had any concerns. Our childcare needs have changed now, but if we need a daycare again, OST will be at the top of our list for both care and value.

She has no concern for your child's or your concerns. I have three children that were all going there (10, 7, 2 years old). I had to move my two year old to another daycare due to him getting bitten and scratched constantly. I understand when you have a toddler things are bound to happen at daycare. My concern is when I brought this to Gianna's attention about the safety and reporting and consequences of behavior it was brushed off, like it wasn't that big of a deal. Every single week he was enrolled here he had one to three ouch reports sent home EVERY WEEK! The teacher Natasha was very nurturing and made sure to give my son tlc when this happened and was VERY transparent about all of the situations, she was able to explain what happened what she was able to do about it, but when I went to the director.... Uhg let's just say it didn't matter. I have never felt so disrespected by a care giver in my life! I had to speak with her a few times about this and every single time it wasn't as big of a deal as I was making it out to be. One time I had my 7 year old in the office with me and I was holding his hand talking to her about my concerns for my 2 year old and she literally got in my face and was extremely Rude and saying we can't do anything for your child since it's not the same child that has bit him... she then proceeded to say that if you feel your child is unsafe you should remove him from the program. Responsibility and accountability was always evaded with Gianna... instead of trying to fix the problem she would say well we can't separate the kids... well then maybe we should address biting... granted kids bite because they can't speak their frustrations... so as a director of the daycare what do we do about biting!? Her response was all we can do is separate them for that day and call the parents of the child that bit... okay... well on one side that makes sense but for my child to be bitten pretty much 5 weeks or so in a row by "different" kids hm... something needs to be addressed obviously! I got to a point where I didn't even feel comfortable talking to the director anymore. She seriously does not care about anything... the way that she speaks to children is absolutely ludicrous saying "get out of my face, you are a child you don't get to ask questions" talk about emotional abuse! I have so much going on in my life that I don't need a daycare that has a five star rating, I'm supposed to trust, to have no care in the world! Honestly, I just don't get it! Thankfully the regional director got involved and it will be handled accordingly. I still don't feel comfortable having conversations with the director though! I will go to the co director or the teachers before I talk to Gianna.. this was my first time putting my children in daycare because I've been a stay at home mom for ten years. This is why I would rather stay at home with my children because of stuff like this. I just want to let everyone know my situation because I don't want you to go in there blindly. If they got rid of Gianna I would probably put my 2 year old back into the school but knowing Gianna doesn't care much about children and the concerns for occurrences like this, I can't. Also, the bulling of her own staff is sad. The way that she tries to scare the people that work for her because SHE got in trouble is beyond me. In my opinion Gianna needs to go this is no way upper management should ever act! I am completely baffled!

Brichta is definitely more of a pre-school then daycare. It's at an actual former elementary…read moreschool, so you don't get the yucky daycare smell as you walk in. However, outside the superficial, Britcha is anything but. The teachers in each classroom are very well supported. Each usually has one or two class aids. Additionally, students from the UA come to get some of their teaching hours there. They have a very welcoming environment and refer to children in gender neutral terms as "friends." They also have referrals for AZEip if your child needs it. This is NOT a money run business like you find at places like Adventure time with inconsistent staff. They even have rates for government employees. It took us 3 years to find the best place for our kiddo. Don't pass up Brichta without checking it out first. It is truly a west side gem. In addition to their regular curriculum they also offer enrichment class! During the day!!! While your little is already at school! Music! Sign Language! Spanish! Soccer! These are taught by actual instructors and coaches.

Parents beware…read more TLDR: The direct school administrative staff including Desiree and Kristina were not helpful and frankly were avoidant, dismissive, and uncaring about a resolution to the same concern. These two individuals are not fit to be in positions of directing a place for young children and families. Cadence Academy corporate were kind & helpful following a challenging situation. We chose Cadence, after months of researching & touring for our 3 month old son when I returned to work after maternity leave. On the first day of daycare at Cadence Academy we had the ability to see the classroom through video access and as an anxious, first time, parents, we watched as often as we were allowed to. Our son spent a significant amount of time in a bouncer. It appeared that he was given attention infrequently by the singular teacher in the classroom of several babies. We received a phone call asking if it was okay for our baby to sleep in the bouncer if he was comfortable. This was not something that we wanted, but as it was our first day at daycare, we were a little nervous about anything going wrong and felt that perhaps this was a helpful recommendation from a teacher in the classroom. Watching the video even longer our son appeared to spend about five hours in the bouncer and did not receive that much of an attempt at having a milk bottle across that time, which was disheartening. We were told that he refused the bottle from his teacher. When I asked Desiree why another teacher didn't attempt to feed our son the bottle she said, "we want him to get used to his teacher feeding him", as though feeding our 3 month old wasn't the priority. After a frustrating first day, we decided that it would be our son's last day as we felt that the teacher was not doing an adequate job of caring for our son, nor was the teacher following the guidelines of the handbook that we were made to read and sign. We spoke with the assistant director, Desiree, and let her know that we were withdrawing our son as we did not want to risk any potential harm or future bad days. Our son has been at a different daycare in town, which has been an absolute blessing. The kindness & attentiveness provided by the teachers at the new daycare and the administrative staff have been wonderful showing us that Cadence really had let us down with just one day at their facility. We thought that our time with Cadence was in the past. That was until we received a notice that we were sent to collections in June, an entire 8 months after we unenrolled our son. We called to speak with the Cadence administrative staff to inquire why we were in collections when we hadn't heard from them since we left in October. We were informed that we owed for the week that he was enrolled & we were also charged a $25 fee for not fulfilling the payment in the first place. The frustrating thing about this is that we were unaware of any outstanding bill. At NO point in time did Cadence Academy reach out to us to let us know that we had an outstanding bill as they had previously had all of our banking information to accept deposits and previous payments. They had our email, phone numbers, & mailing address but no notices or bills came. It took 2 weeks to finally get in touch with someone that could answer our questions (thank you Theresa). Kristina (director) & Desiree (assistant director) were beyond unhelpful. When we asked Desiree who they answered to, we were told "corporate" but weren't given any helpful leads as to who to speak with. Instead we were given the generalized Cadence Academy phone number- which is just a VM & after many calls & messages, not one was returned. It wasn't until we used the websites chatbot to access a live agent who was helpful enough to get us in contact with the regional director. The regional director was able to resolve our concern & pay us back the money (as it was agreed that none of this should have happened given the circumstances). The admin team at Cadence Academy OV should be under review for their inability to do their job effectively.

He rarely was upset with drop offs but when he was the teachers did a great job redirecting him and providing him love. At the end of the day I went there after a week vacation and my child no longer had the same teacher again. So I didn't really know the new teacher at all. The guy working on the playground was also new and other new staff I just took that opportunity to just take my child out. I also wanted to mention I posted a review previously here when my daughter was still going here and just mentioning a "few small complaints but over all that I loved this place." And 3 stars. It was followed by the Risa in the front office calling me and screaming at me for about 20 minutes. Followed by nagging from other staff to take the review down. Also my complaint was about like basically all my child's teachers leaving. Obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. And the fact that my name isn't even on here and neither is my child's. She gets both English and Spanish, is fed healthy meals, given consistent naptimes, and is building real friendships with kids she's known for a long time. Miraculously, it's also less expensive than other places where we'd inquired. I was so lucky to get her in here. We're going to be moving out of state in the coming months, and taking my daughter from CAC is the hardest part of the move. I know we'll probably never find a place as good for her where we're going, and that breaks my heart.

After the last request, I was told that we could meet in 3 weeks, after stalling for a week. Incident (accident) reports have not been completed until I've asked for explanations for bruises. My child has been bitten twice by other children, in a 3 week span. My child was taken into the facility, by his other parent, with a golf-ball sized bruise on his forehead, without it ever being documented. The corporate office has been just as uncooperative. I have picked up my son with a soiled diaper many times. I would not, by any means, recommend this location to anyone.
