We attended OST school for the past year and had excellent teachers in the infant room (Karolina and Makenzi) and then in the one year old room (Ana). My child built a great relationship with all of them and it was clear he was learning and growing under their care. About 6 months ago they started using an app and I received regular updates and photos about how the day was going - loved this! The prior directors, Jessica and Anissa, and the current director, Misty, have all been great and have happily answered any question I had or engaged in a conversation if I had any concerns. Our childcare needs have changed now, but if we need a daycare again, OST will be at the top of our list for both care and value. read more

Let me start of by saying the regional director the assistant director Nikki and Natasha the twos teacher is amazing! Now for the actual director Gianna Kelly... be cautious with her. She has no concern for your child's or your concerns. I have three children that were all going there (10, 7, 2 years old). I had to move my two year old to another daycare due to him getting bitten and scratched constantly. I understand when you have a toddler things are bound to happen at daycare. My concern is when I brought this to Gianna's attention about the safety and reporting and consequences of behavior it was brushed off, like it wasn't that big of a deal. Every single week he was enrolled here he had one to three ouch reports sent home EVERY WEEK! The teacher Natasha was very nurturing and made sure to give my son tlc when this happened and was VERY transparent about all of the situations, she was able to explain what happened what she was able to do about it, but when I went to the director.... Uhg let's just say it didn't matter. I have never felt so disrespected by a care giver in my life! I had to speak with her a few times about this and every single time it wasn't as big of a deal as I was making it out to be. One time I had my 7 year old in the office with me and I was holding his hand talking to her about my concerns for my 2 year old and she literally got in my face and was extremely Rude and saying we can't do anything for your child since it's not the same child that has bit him... she then proceeded to say that if you feel your child is unsafe you should remove him from the program. Responsibility and accountability was always evaded with Gianna... instead of trying to fix the problem she would say well we can't separate the kids... well then maybe we should address biting... granted kids bite because they can't speak their frustrations... so as a director of the daycare what do we do about biting!? Her response was all we can do is separate them for that day and call the parents of the child that bit... okay... well on one side that makes sense but for my child to be bitten pretty much 5 weeks or so in a row by "different" kids hm... something needs to be addressed obviously! I got to a point where I didn't even feel comfortable talking to the director anymore. She seriously does not care about anything... the way that she speaks to children is absolutely ludicrous saying "get out of my face, you are a child you don't get to ask questions" talk about emotional abuse! I have so much going on in my life that I don't need a daycare that has a five star rating, I'm supposed to trust, to have no care in the world! Honestly, I just don't get it! Thankfully the regional director got involved and it will be handled accordingly. I still don't feel comfortable having conversations with the director though! I will go to the co director or the teachers before I talk to Gianna.. this was my first time putting my children in daycare because I've been a stay at home mom for ten years. This is why I would rather stay at home with my children because of stuff like this. I just want to let everyone know my situation because I don't want you to go in there blindly. If they got rid of Gianna I would probably put my 2 year old back into the school but knowing Gianna doesn't care much about children and the concerns for occurrences like this, I can't. Also, the bulling of her own staff is sad. The way that she tries to scare the people that work for her because SHE got in trouble is beyond me. In my opinion Gianna needs to go this is no way upper management should ever act! I am completely baffled! read more

I personally do not send my child there. However, I did a tour there and was completely turned off as soon as I walked in. It was like someone punched me in the stomach and was telling me to leave. The person giving the tour never introduced herself, let alone acknowledge my son. She just shoved a clipped at me to fill out and walked away. She came back in a few seconds, and I could tell she was annoyed by her demeanor. There is no way I will be sending my child there. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this school! The staff is fantastic and care about my children so much. The staff is the main reason we keep coming back to this school. The director, Amanda, has done a stellar job with the school over the last year. Her staff is the best there is, and every day when I pick my children up from school I see it in their attitudes that they had a great day. There are few people in the world that I trust with the care of my children, but the staff have proven themselves time and time again, and there is no where else I would rather have my children attend school. The schools Christian principles made this an ideal choice for a day school. I love hearing what my boys have to say about what they learned about God. Every day is packed full of singing, learning, playing, and fun. It warms my heart to know they want to go to school and ask when is the next time they can go back. My son and daughter went to school here for 2 years. I never had any issues until the end of 2016. The first instance my son came home with a massive bump on his forehead, scrapes on his face. One of the boys in his class hit him with a tricycle in the face. The boys mother was the teacher. No report was filed. I was never called. They investigated the teacher, and had her on warning. Her son and her still were at the school by the time I pulled my kids out. Then, in December I was called that I owed over 400 dollars because they were never auto charging me. I assumed it was coming out of my account weekly. They wanted their money. They got it from me. My son loved his friends. They go through teachers like crazy. I finally feel the courage to post this after moving to another state. Just be on your toes here. read more

My 2year oldson absolutely loves this place!!!! He gets so happy once he sees us pulling in to the parking lot!!! At first like any child that stayed home with mom would hate to go but he quickly started to enjoy going and being around other kids his age !!!! Totally recommend this daycare read more

My son Emmett has been with this daycare since he was 1.5 years old. He is now about to be 4. He truly loves it here and talks to me about his teachers and friends all the time. It is nice that we can have him there all day and not have to worry about his happiness. He's always in a wonderful mood when we pick him up. They utilize a camera system called Watch Me Grow and it's really nice for those paranoid parents who want to check in to see what their kids are doing throughout the day. They have a nice playground, goats, and a big open space for the kids to play. They do crafts activities, have an effective nap system, and provide pieces of paper explaining your child's mood through the day, how much he or she ate, and how much he or she slept. Overall we feel very comfortable here and couldn't imagine Emmett going anywhere else. read more

we're approaching our one year anniversary with old spanish trail school. before we enrolled our daughter in school here, she had been in some private home day cares that weren't really meeting our needs for giving the best quality care and pre-elementary school education we wanted for our child. i shopped around at a couple of schools in the area before coming here and deciding to enroll her full time. since, our daughter has developed so many more life skills. she's very social, and knows so much. i have to credit a lot of that to old spanish trail school (and some work that mommy and daddy (and other family) have put in, too). the facility feels safe because it is away from the street. you have to have a special access code to get in the door. the school also participates in "watch me grow" which is an app (you can also view from your web browser) that allows you to see (in real time) your child and what they're doing throughout the day. i have never questioned the integrity that all the staff have when dealing with my daughter. everyone is super friendly and always greets us by name. amanda, the director of the school has been excellent to work with. anytime i need to speak with her she always makes herself available to me as a parent. the playground in the back is awesomeeeeee. all the kids have so many activities to do outdoors to expend that extra energy. the school has very good hours of operation. you can drop your kid off as early as 6AM and pick them up as late as 630PM. great flexibility for working parents. they also provide nutritious meals for the kids that are outlined everyday and have to meet federal guidelines. the tuition is fair for the excellent care you get for the most precious people in your life. i would definitely recommend this school to anyone and everyone who is looking for a great place to send their child. read more

Our child attended this daycare for a few months. I was not impressed after a few weeks in. I have never seen any sort of structure for the children. Anytime there is an activity going on, no teacher ever supervises them. I have shown up multiple times and seen kids running around crazy on the playground, playing with a water spigot in WINTER, and doing whatever they want while the "teacher", or more like "babysitter", stands there staring at their clipboard. My husband once walked outside to pick up our child, only to find that all the children were throwing sand and water at each other and getting completely filthy, while the teacher was right there ignoring what was happening. At least 4 out of the 5 days our child was there, they came home absolutely filthy. I expect them to be messy, and thus sent them in clothes that we didn't mind being messy. However, I also can't afford to buy my child new clothes just for daycare every few weeks. What if I had something I needed to do after work that I had to take my child along for? More than a few times I have taken my child out to dinner covered in paint that stained their skin for a few days. When asked about whether or not they provide smocks for the kids to put over their clothes for messy activities, we were told "they're supposed to put them on". Well, WHY NOT??? WHO is supervising this? I have even walked into my child's classroom at the end of the day and seen them eating dinner without utensils. Are you kidding me??? The classrooms were disgusting dirty, and here my child is eating with her hands that they probably didn't have her wash before eating, either. I have to say it was hard to watch these things on the cameras (one of the few good things about this place) because I was watching a disaster happen right before my eyes. Out of the 5 or 6 months my child attended, they had at least 4 different teachers. Most of the time they couldn't tell me their teachers name. How is a child supposed to feel comfortable with a new teacher every month? Not only that, but my child rarely ever brought home anything academic. It was my understanding that at the age my child was at, it would be more like an academic school environment to prepare them for the transition to elementary school. I was very disappointed to learn that this wasn't the case AT ALL. One afternoon I had a family member pick up my child for me who had never picked them up before. She came in, acted like she knew what she was doing, signed my child out, and walked right out with them. Not one person between the office and the classroom stopped my family member to ask who she was or for her ID. As a matter of fact, Amanda, the office manager, looked right at her and never said anything. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. This is not a safe, clean environment that I wanted to leave my child in any longer. We couldn't wait to get out. One of the most unsettling things about this preschool was that they had an incentive of $25 off your tuition if you came onto Yelp and made a good review for them. The obvious reason they did it was because they got one bad review. It was on 1/15/14, the same day as these last two good reviews, so I wouldn't trust them! I did the same thing because, who doesn't want $25 off? One of the few good things I have to say about this preschool is that generally Amanda the office manager and Andrea were both nice, easy people to deal with. I have never had a problem with them, it was more like how they run the place. There are things that we had experienced that were unacceptable for a daycare center, no matter what the excuse was. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this preschool center to anyone. read more

I had my 18 month old here. Over the course of 2 weeks she was bitten three times and nobody ever knew about it, made a report or acted like anything had happened or contacted me about the situation, I was told the director would contact me and she never did. The director is the one of the laziest people I have ever seen. More than once when I would go to drop my child off there would be too many kids in one room with not enough teachers and the teacher would just look overwhelmed and had even asked me before to go tell her that she needed help and the director wouldnt do anything she would just sit in her office. Many times when I would drop her off I would see that there was WAY too many kids per teacher I was getting upset about this towards the last few days that I was dropping my child off. Also I would drop her off and because there was too many kids she would just stand there and nobody would try to have her come interact in a group. One time I stood outside the door and I watched it for about five minutes stand in the same spot where I had left her finally went in and I like sat her down in a chair. This is just a few things that I witnessed over the course of a month and a half honestly this place horrible horrible place the director is terrible and they should be in trouble for breaking laws. read more

Our daughter has been at Old Spanish Trail school for about 2 months now. She just turned 5, and she absolutely loves it. Since she's never been in day care, we were worried she wouldn't like it, but she took to it right away. Here's the things I love at Old Spanish Trail. The staff at Old Spanish Trail are wonderful. They are kind and personable. My daughter gets a personal "Good Morning" shout out every day. Even though she only goes 3 half days a week, everyone knows her (in a good way I hope). The teachers tell us how she is doing, what she likes to do, and who she likes to play with. I love that they have cameras. I can check on her every so often, just for comfort. They feed my daughter. She loves trying new things and she's gotten to try lots of different foods. The prices are very reasonable. The only negative in my book is that they have nap time from 12-2. We always pick up my daughter before then, since she doesn't take naps. However, if a child doesn't nap, they can play quietly during that time. Most of the other kids seem excited about laying down at that time. read more

This preschool is unorganized ,unprofessional , has an extremely high turnover with its teachers and is dirty! My daughter attended here for less than a year and had about 6 teachers one of wich had a huge hickey on her neck when I picked up my daughter one day! The teachers do not pay attention to the kids which resulted in bullying, indecent exposure and children telling other children to put there hair in the toilet. And when I spoke to the teacher about it she/they had not seen a single thing that I spoke of. But When the teacher asked the children while I was there the children confirmed what I had told the teacher.The administrative staff is horrible when it comes to billing ,answering the phone, being in the office and keeping track of the shot records you provide! My daughter did not improve on her abc's, numbers , spelling her name or anything while attending this disappointment they call a preschool ! I wouldn't recommend this school to my worst enemy! read more

I had 2 kids here for about 1 1/2 years. First year, no problems. Then management changed and they doubled my payment with no notice! When I asked for a supervisor they would not give me anyone's name or number and said someone would contact me. When I was contacted the woman was extremely rude and blamed me for the tuition increase. Their parent handbook specifically says they must give 30 day written notice of tuition change. After I fixed that issue they seemed to find another problem every single week for 4-5 months trying to charge me more and more. The 2 teachers Mrs Shannon and Mrs Cassie were the only ones who knew what they were doing in the 4-5 year old classes. The front office staff seems to have no clue what they are doing! My account was on auto pay and they claimed they could not charge me, then continued to charge random amounts that they could not explain what they were for. I finally had to put a stop payment on them and pay them weekly by check. I would never recommend anyone send their children there! read more
