The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside! It's pretty well organized, so if you're looking for a particular thing (dishes, furniture, children's clothing, for example), and don't have time to browse, you can head right for that section of the store. Everything's divided into rooms, so you get more of that fun "thrill of discovery" and "treasure hunt" feel than with the stores that are just one huge warehouse-type setting. The prices are more than fair; there wasn't one item priced to make me think "ooh, that's way too much", but plenty of things that made me say out loud "oh, wow!" We didn't linger for long in the furniture or glassware/dish/kitchen sections (we're up to our ears in all of the above, already) so I can't speak for the prices in there, but can't imagine that they wouldn't be in line with prices in the rest of the store. We spent way too much time in the book room; hardbacks were $1 and paperbacks were 75¢. I don't know if those are the prices every day, but we bought way more books than we should have. Hardbacks are awfully heavy, but at $1, what's a girl to do? ;) I picked up three of the classics that I've been meaning to read for decades, and they're in perfect condition. Checking out took much longer than expected; the lady had to sort our stuff into many different piles and add them up separately. It seemed like an odd system, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Be patient and allow a little extra time for this. On the bright side, they do accept debit/credit cards. We didn't have time to see the whole store, on this outing, but we'll definitely be back.

Upon arrival (it was a Tuesday morning), parking was easy. There are some convenient lots situated on either side of the market. Right at the get-go, there are conveniently-placed ATM's for you to get cash, as many of the vendors are cash-only. Passing from one barn to another, and seeing a variety of vendors, Cowtown did not have much "to offer". Many of the vendors sold the same things, i.e., bamboo pillows, shoes, Hanes products. The only reason I was there? Amish pretzels. Call me a sucker for a good time. I found "Esther's Pretzel Bakery" situated at the very back of the Market; smart-choice to be honest. From what I saw, it was the most popular food stall --- the only one, really, with a continuous line. This is always good --- as "more product out, new product in". I ordered the Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Pretzel Log and a Cinnamon Pretzel w/ cream cheese icing. I CAN REPORT: Although the rest of the Farmer's Market was a bit lackluster for this first-timer, the pretzels give it the 3 stars that made this visit "a-bit" worthy. They were fresh, hot, and that cheese was melty! Absolute banger of a pretzel log. Thank you "Esther's" for saving this Farmers Market visit for me! The sweet counterpart was equally delicious! 5 stars for the pretzels. -2 for the rest of the Market. Hopefully when summer is in "full-swing" this Farmers Market will be in "full-swing" as well. We have two…read moreBadington Young chairs that look like regular chairs, but are actually very comfortable recliners. The foam in the seat cushion and the lumbar cushion in one of the chairs had deteriorated over the years. I called and asked if they could get replacements. They did. I went to pick them up and, when I offered to pay, they told me no payment was necessary because this typical after the sale service. My chair, the one where we replaced the foam in the cushions, has to be at least 15 years old. With renewed foam in the cushions, I'll be good for years to come. I got just what I needed at no cost. What a great store operated by great people. We will be back. Thank you, Patricia's.

Poked in just to see what they had to offer…read more The style they seem to focus on is very much country / colonial. Lots of old-fashioned style furniture and home decor. With some antique stuff thrown in here and there, the overall theme is fairly conventional. You will find scented candles, wreaths, lots of fake or plastic flowers, artwork with ducks and countrysides. Nothing sleek and modern here if that's what you're after.

Watching the cashier repeatedly scratch her unmasked nose and then hand my mom her change and receipt. They also had only two check out lines open and both right next to each other even though they easily could've helped social distance that area. In the line right next to us, the customer had her mask under her nose until my mom and I kept making comments...causing her to be annoyed enough to cover up. Of course those comments fell on deaf ears with our itchy-nosed cashier. Also annoying: I was there to grab cat litter as I didn't pack enough and was trying to find a specific type. While I looked, three customers stood or walked right next to me. You know what I do if I see someone looking at something in a narrow aisle? I wait in order to keep my distance or turn back around and do a loop. I thought this store was fine in before times, but considering that they clearly don't care about basic, well-known safety protocols during a surging pandemic, they would have to pay me to return.
