My son sent a friend to pick up some cannoli and while filling the pastry shell he noticed that the owner was licking his ungloved fingers. This is unacceptable anytime but even more so during Covid. I had an incident with the soup that had beans that were as hard as rocks. When I mentioned it to the owner he dismissed me like I was crazy or trying to get something for nothing. My son should have heeded my advice and got his cannoli elsewhere! We are done with this place! read more

This lil gem is absolutely the best Italian restaurant in all of New Jersey. It's located in Laurel Hill Plaza on college drive in clementon Nj& You have to try it here, prices are affordable and all the food is homemade.My wife&I have been customers for 17 years, so far, and every Saturday we order from here, but tonight was my Birthday so we decided to pop on in, for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly nice woman host , and as usual Privitos was very clean& the tables /booths were social distanced & the wait staff & chef were attentive and friendly & they wore masks&their gloves at all times. It is very Covid SAFE!!!! Now I had the Salmon& vegetables, and homemade Vegetable soup "Soo DELISH" Best I ever had,& the salmon melted in my mouth& the Vegetable Soup was better than my moms, she use to make for me growing up. Now my lovely wife had an out of this world meatball parmigiana& she got chicken tortellini soup, She said it knocked het socks off. The meatballs were so homemade and moist, and fresh, the marinara sauce was incredible, the sandwich had such a wonderful taste & her homemade soup was mouth watering. We winded up taking home a chicken and shrimp Chardonnay to go for our son, who was still at work, which came with beef orzo soup and an OUTSTANDING SEEDED BAGUETTE . This place is hidden in a little shopping mall right off of a main drag. I was visiting the store next to them and noticed they had a fish sandwich deal going on and figured that I would check it out. The place reminded me of an revamped pizza parlor, kind of tight inside but again this place is mainly for take out. They do have a small dining area in the back with a tv where you can enjoy your meal if you don't wish to have take out. They have a prepared foods section with a variety of Italian foods. The food looked fresh and homemade and they also have a small deli. I am unsure if you can buy your lunch meat there or if it's only for the sandwiches. Upon ordering a fish sandwich, I was told that they had a variety of options which depended on the season. Tuna, Mahi, Cod, Flounder, and Salmon if I remember correctly. Flounder wasn't in, so I opted for the Cod which was prepared on a kaiser roll with chipotle sauce (my choice), lettuce, and tomato. I also bought a few of the fried eggplants. The price wasn't too bad, after all it is homemade food. The sandwich was good and so was the eggplant. I will definitely stop by again sometime since it is so hard to find fish sandwiches these days. It is truly difficult to find healthy, well-prepared food on the business road. Thanks to Yelp I was able to do a quick and accurate search to find a location 3 miles from my last stop. Easy ordering was the result at Privito's. Upon entering I could see in this clean establishment and display case that I could eat healthy here. Custom and many choices of sandwiches are available and I settled on Grilled Chicken, Broccoli Rabe and Roasted Red Peppers on a baguette. For the price the sandwich was larger than expected. I love Privito's. The food is always fresh and tastes homemade. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and taste. I recommend the chicken cutlets. They sell a delectable chicken caesar salad sandwich which features these cutlets. I have also gotten the eggplant parm which is better than any eggplant I've ever made. I go here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed with the food. I have found the customer service to be hit or miss but I've always assumed it's because they know how amazing their food is. I just love his Enormous Homemade stuffed Artichokes OMG, they just melt in your mouth.Plus his Chicken cutlets are so tasty and fresh their made all day long.. I bought 2 lbs , 4 artichokes , gnocchi, tortellini and eggplants and veal parmigiana & took it over to my best friend's house for her 50th birthday so she wouldn't have to cook all weekend and she just absolutely loved it all. I think he said he's been here for over 25yrs the place is very clean, its also really convenient for catering, take out & delivery for my family. Also the staff is friendly& VERY Knowledgeable. We decided to try it and dine in there. We had chicken Marsala. It was the BEST we ever had. The gravy was so rich & delicious. My daughter had a cannoli for desert which she said was to die for. We did hoagies, chicken cutlet sandwiches, Italian dinners, chicken Marsala and chicken Parmigiana which are both my favorite and his wonderful cannolis for dessert. The owner is really nice and very helpful and helped me plan a menu on my budget . The owner also makes everything fresh and homemade which tastes delicious all the guests loved it. I wanted to go with a place that I've had lunch & dinner at before at least few times. Lunch was always terrific and on-top of it , the dinners at Privito's are always great too.. Ive had the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Parmigiana before which were so tasty and very delicious. And I know that My husband went there to dinner with some of his colleagues and they all had seafood. Diamond in a strip shopping mall that I am so sorry I didn't come to in 2013 when I moved to Clementon. Finally went yesterday and what a treat. We will definitely have this on our favorite list. Started with appetizer of sausage, peppers, onions, and roasted peppers. Delicious. Side of bread fresh, tasty. My husband said Ceaser salad dsg was better than most, and my Balsamic dsg was great. Entrees OMG...veal malanaise very good, string beans done well, side of spaghetti done perfectly, and same with my eggplant rolltini stuffed etc. Was amazing also with side of spaghetti, of course brought home lunch for today.
