The same hand and glove that grabbed the cash, register and everything in its surrounding, grabbed the donuts. Apparently no tongs are used, and person there changed out glove, after I addressed it, without washing hands. What is the point of gloves if you are grabbing everything? Which made me think, how are donuts handled when not at eye view? I cancelled my order and asked for my money back. At the very least, one person should handle the register and another the donuts; not the same person. It's truly appalling and unacceptable. I have witnessed small mom-and-pop donut shops have better hygienic standards.

For someone who keeps the Sabbath, we're really not supposed to be spending money on Saturday, but today I decided to make an exception.I've been loyal to this business since I was about 10 years old. My best friend and I used to sneak away from church with the money our parents gave us for offerings and come buy bagels instead. Looking back, that's probably not our finest moment, but it was definitely one of our traditions!It made me happy to see that Happy Bagel & Donuts is still around and thriving after all these years. I was sitting there enjoying a freshly baked chocolate croissant that was made just for me after I ordered it, when I overheard the people next to me talking about how they had driven all the way from Orange County just to get donuts from this place.
