Review #1016 2026-086 Donuts Order: Apple Twist $2.75 Blueberry Cake Donut $1.75 (comped) Boston Cream Donut $1.75 Cinnamon Roll $2.75 Croissant Donut $2.75 I was dining nearby for a YEE, & wanted to treat M to a donut for being my carpool. Cherri's Donuts was sitting around the corner so it was an easy stop before returning home. I picked a couple of favs: Apple Twist & Cinnamon, & they're huge! I also added Boston Cream Donut, Croissant Donut, & Frosted Vanilla Cake with Sprinkles, & the owner threw in a Blueberry Cake Donut. Whoohoo! When we got home, M's Frosted Vanilla Cake with Sprinkles was missing. I went through the bag to check the contents & found that I was charged correctly even though my son's pick wasn't in the bag. I saw that it was set aside but didn't make it in the bag. It was fine since we had several pounds worth from just 5. Even though it's late in the day, the donuts were fresh but not "hot off the fryer" fresh. It's debatable which was best: Apple Twist or Cinnamon Roll. The twist was fluffy & soft, with bits of cinnamony apple filling & a light sweet glaze for some added sugary goodness overload. The roll was a tad heavier, but still fluffy with cinnamon swirled through the pastry & topped with the same sweet glaze. M was sad that his pick was missing, & made do with a tasting of the Blueberry Cake Donut & Croissant Donut. He liked it, but still wanted his vanilla cake; he's haunted by the rainbow sprinkles. Like fellow Elite Vince V. parody sings... donuts the size of boulders... every day that I adore you! It's a bit of a drive, but if I'm in this neck of the woods... I'm walking right on over! I would never want to lower the rating for this place - Cherri's Donuts in Santa Fe Springs - but I'm doing this for something other than their food or service. In driving out to the Coachella Valley desert towns from LAX, I made the habitual stop here. Not buying donuts for anyone on this visit, the stop was to satisfy my donut craving. I also had to use "a" restroom. They don't have one. I snuck into a nearby store I didn't patronize to do so. Thank God the code feature was not functioning at that time. On the outbound trip, I ordered a double chocolate, a strawberry frosted, and an orange frosted donut. I shouldn't have done that, but I love Cherri's Donuts's donuts. Those three donuts were lunch. In fact, I stopped in again on my way back to the Los Angeles area and got a strawberry frosted and an orange frosted donut. On this stop, they made for breakfast. I'm enamored of their orange frosted donut more so than anything else. With the social dynamics and related have-have not problems in SoCal, it seems businesses are guarding their restrooms more vigilantly ... or not providing restrooms at all. I also think that Cherri's Donuts probably serves a local clientele living within a 5 mile radius. They don't think that someone driving to and from LAX might make it a donut pit stop and also need to make a restroom stop. The employees here are reliably pleasant. There is also a small parking lot behind there store, so I used it instead of parking by the curb since I had luggage stored in the back of the vehicle. With the 605 and the 5 intersecting nearby, one needs to get into the correct lane for the Telegraph Road exit fairly quickly. However, for their donuts, you'll manage and you'll do it. read more

What does this have to do with Cherri's or donuts in general? Nothing. But... have you ever been awake at 3 am craving a FRESH donut? If the answer is yes - then Cherri's is the place for you! Open 24 hours, located in a cute lil corner by a residential area, with it's very own (somewhat limited but never been an issue) parking lot. Donuts are prepared (I have no idea the actual time intervals) aaaaaaaaaaall day. You can literally come at 8pm and they'll have fresh donuts. Probably varies but what donut shop is open past 2pm serving fresh donuts? Cherri's and only Cherri's. Came in on a random Tuesday night after some mediocre BBQ looking for some sweet shi' for the kids (RIP Auntie Fee) and landed here. Been a go-to spot for probably over a decade. Never a bad experience. Prices are reasonable, they accept credit cards although I have not paid attention if there's a fee so I won't comment on that. We were ordering croissants and dude behind the counter is like, "I just pulled these out of the oven if you want 'em hot." Uhhh, yes please. Ham and cheese croissant was so yummy. I only had a bite as I was after the sweets. Tried a blueberry cream cheese croissant and it was so yummy. He kindly offered to warm it up slightly as it was not fresh from the oven and I enjoyed it although I would probably recommend taking it home to reheat in an air fryer as the microwave can loosen the bread up a little more than I'd like but that's just my preference. Overall great flavor and quality. Chocolate cronuts (croissant donuts) are one of their specialties and if you're ever in the shop and they have them fresh, they are a must-try. Melt in your mouth. Chocolate glaze, cinnamon sugar on the sides and super light and fluffy cronut. Delicious. Need to try their coffee and breakfast items as I only ever get donuts here but they're always a good bite. I've given this donut shop several chances and usually brushed off the poor attitude, assuming the morning rush was the reason. This time, however, the shop was completely empty -- so there really wasn't an excuse. I ordered a dozen donut holes and asked if I could get jalapeños on the side with a bagel since my 3-year-old shares it with me. I was told they only come inside the bagel and "nothing fancy." I'm not sure how putting a few jalapeños in a small container qualifies as "fancy," but the comment felt unnecessarily rude. Instead of arguing, I took my business elsewhere. Christine's donuts is right up the street & their service was welcoming, accommodating, and a much better experience overall. It's unfortunate that such a simple request couldn't be handled with basic courtesy. Wowza!! Stopped in for coffee but after seeing all these fresh beautifully made donuts I had to grab a couple. Had a bear claw which was huge!! It was fluffy, crispy on the edges, yeasty and full of apples, actually....stuffed with apples. It was incredibly tasty! The coffee was very good too. The maple bar was equally fresh with the perfect amount of maple frosting! I was helped by the owner who was a sweet and very friendly lady. I asked her if she was Cherri and she giggled and said "yeah, something like that" I thought it was funny. The shop is very clean and I think there are tables inside. I was too busy admiring all the sweet gems in the donut case. There are tables outside for sure. I'm not from this area but I will definitely go out of my way if somewhat nearby to indulge in coffee and donuts from Cherri's. Hands down one of the best donut shops I've been to. Came to this donut spot at 2am. Very well lit, clean but also an older building so they make do. They had a decent variety available, not all donuts but they were in the process of making fresh ones. The owner was super nice and funny. Told us about his fresh flavors that were up front yet. The donuts were so good. Light and airy not crazy sweet. Just perfect. This place is located near the houses in a quiet environment. There is a parking lot in the back. I was really surprised when I went in because the floor was so clean. I mean the FLOOR. That was already a major plus for me. I got a dozen/$16 ($8 for half a dozen), and it was actually harder than I thought to fill because I couldn't choose lol. When speaking with the lady, there was a little bit of misunderstanding here and there when I asked for cronuts or a coconut topped donut--was given other ones instead...but managed to fill the box in the end. (Accepts Apple Pay) The donuts are really fluffy and thick! They're more on the bread/baked goods side than the chewy/fried donuts that people might be used to. I personally liked the fluffiness and it was so soft and fulfilling. And the sweetness is just right. The icings did crumble a lot though. When choosing flavors, the lady had really pushed for me to try a cruller and I understand why. It's really good. The bread is moist (even after a day), chewy, and buttery. YUMs. My favorite is still the chocolate bar though because I love chocolate haha. I would definitely visit again once in a while, but for those expecting traditional donuts, these may be a bit different from your expectations. read more

My favorite one closed down last year (RIP Oh Those Donuts!) and I've been on the hunt for a replacement. Cherri's Donuts is located off the main drag, but easy to find. Parking is plentiful and it was shockingly busy at midnight when I arrived. The man at the counter was impossibly friendly and the selection plentiful. Not sure if he was the owner, but he had a warm smile and guided me towards his favorite donuts. I bought a cinnamon cronut, cake sprinkle, strawberry, blueberry, and a glaze. All the donuts were excellent. The Cronut was very flaky but kinda dry -- but maybe this is the way it's supposed to be?The strawberry donut was the surprise winner and a must have if you stop here. This is a solid 4-star spot for your classic donut varieties and even some new ones. Well worth a visit. She's constantly being nosey, doesn't know boundaries, all and all just a horrible messy human being that lacks professionalism. My favorite donut shop. We come here weekly for fresh donuts. My favorites are their maple bars, ham + cheese croissants, and thai tea. The service is sweet- the two ladies in the morning remember regular orders and often throw in extra donut holes with your order.
