I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I arrived kind of early so my stylist wasn't there yet, so I took in my surroundings and watched another stylist work her magic. My stylist, Cassie, walked in about five minutes after me and greeted me with a big smile. I showed Cassie a couple of pictures of what I wanted, and she knew exactly what I wanted. She got to work, all the while making sure I was comfortable. We had a pleasant conversation... and soon, it was unveiling time. I was quite surprised by the outcome -- it was *exactly* what I'd asked for! I've been admiring the results all morning. She carefully explained how to care for my new perm and made sure to caution me not to wash it for at least two days (I usually wait 3 just in case). The experience was wonderful and I am really happy with the results. Perms always look much better on me after the first wash... I'm so looking forward to seeing the final result because I know it's just what I'd requested. I am now going to ditch my previous salon and switch over to Looking Glass for everything because I know they understand what I want and they aren't shy about spending the time to achieve the look I want. Had the worst hairdresser I've ever had and I'm 65 years old his name is Zeke. I paid for nothing and I made an appointment to have which I was worried about I knew he would probably be weird about it and he was. I had a lot of orange bleed out on the top of my head and he said it's because I wanted chunks. Acted like I was stupid.. So he proceeded to fix it with dark color now it looks like I didn't even get my hair done. I paid $210 for this.. First post- I liked having my hair cut regularly here. My stylist was and is AMAZING. Sadly - After my last visit I don't plan on going back. Each time I went, they would change my haircut price by the end of the session. On the phone it would be reasonable then I'd end up paying $20ish more + tip. It's ridiculous. Courtney, the stylist I saw at this salon, fried my highlights pretty bad, and left me with an…read moreoverprocessed orange head of hair that she did everything to mask with styling, so that I didn't see all the damage until I restyled my hair at home, which I had to do right away, because she also didn't wash my hair good enough, and left a lot of my brown root color on the back of my neck, I discovered later at home. I called and left a message about my service, and the damage, and Abby, the manager/owner returned my call, and proceeded to say I should be grateful that she didn't charge me as much as a service like this typically costs, to which I said there is a reason for that, and from there Abby proceeded to make countless excuses for Courtney's poor choices and discussed Courtney's mental health issues and anxiety with me, as if that was good reason. Other things that I should have called out at the time but I wanted to enjoy my service and really thought I was in good hands - I had just recently had a Malibu C treatment to remove some of the darker pigments in my hair and the back of my head processed lighter from that treatment, and the back on my head is where Courtney choose to start highlighting my hair first, meaning that it processed faster and she left it on while the front of my head caught up. I also caught her spraying hairspray before curling my hair - I asked what she just sprayed, she said that it would help hold the curl, but you don't do that, especially on compromised hair???? I trusted this person and I told her I have had back experiences before and that it was a big deal for me to trust someone with highlighting my curly hair, and this is what I get for my kindness and faith that I put into her. I was offered to have one of their other stylists (someone the manager referred to as a "good" stylist) fix my orange color, but I was not comfortable going back there and didn't trust I was in good hands. I asked for enough of my money back to go a salon of my choosing and have someone tone my hair, but they refused to accommodate my feelings and treated me as though I was the one that did something wrong.
