I paid for nothing and I made an appointment to have which I was worried about I knew he would probably be weird about it and he was. I had a lot of orange bleed out on the top of my head and he said it's because I wanted chunks. Acted like I was stupid.. So he proceeded to fix it with dark color now it looks like I didn't even get my hair done. I paid $210 for this.. I have gone to Blessings Salon off and on for over a decade. Since moving to the area, I've become a regular. Love Aveda products, although I am anticipating the reduction of reliance on plastic containers. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I get so many compliments on my hair! Perfect location, as you can enjoy all that Fairhaven has to offer after getting your hair done, the space is open and clean. We were less thrilled by the less-than-classy shower curtains hanging on meager tension rods which separated each chair. We would have enjoyed a hot cup of coffee or tea, but the fresh orange infused water was nice. Great haircut, hairdresser should not cut little kids hair. Brooke Schoemaker cut both my 4yo and my 7yo hairs. The cut was great, adult quality, with scissors. I am sure she could make anyone look beautiful. BUT the service was not good. I would not schedule her for my kids again. She kept threatening my son that she was going to cut him if he moved. Both my children are on the calm realm and I had to give my daughter a screen so she could sit away from me while I sat next to my son and kept him from moving. In general the services at this location are good and the location is marvelous. My kids have had multiple haircuts at different locations and we had not had issues. We recently visited Blessings to get massages for the holidays and loved the location and atmosphere of rhe spa. The salon/spa is in beautiful Fairhaven and is part of the Aveda salon experience, so they do use high quality products here. My husband and I had 60 minute massages here and I loved that you actually get a full 60 minutes here. Most places include the consult and changing time as part of the massage and it really eats into your time. But, at Blessings, I was provided a nice footbath during the intake/consult ND had plenty of time to change and get relaxed. Lynn, LMT, provided the massage service snd was very skilled and provided just the right amount of pressure. She was very open to any feedback and adjusted how she worked on my back. The only reason this received 4 syars instead of 5 was due to some scheduling issues and miscommunications. Overall, it was a good experience and I will be returning for other services! read more

Unfortunately this was by far the worst hair cut I've ever received and I will not be coming back. I asked for shorter, blended, face framing layers. What I ended up with was a blunt cut to a front chunk of my hair which did not match the other side, which was a thinner more blended cut that did not match in thickness and length. The scissors were not sharp and had the "gnawing" sensation as she cut. To top it off, the length of my hair was completely crooked. First time client.... I was looking for someone to do an up do for my upcoming wedding in April. I had an event planned for Dec 19th so I thought that would be the perfect trial run..... I arrived at the salon where i was greeted by a very polite receptionist. She asked if I would like some water and then let me know where to wait for my stylist. Id like to share that over the past 3 years I had been growing my hair out from a very short pixie cut to all one length past my shoulders. I have never had long hair my entire life, so this was going to be a real treat! My stylist came out and was very friendly. She asked what I wanted and I let her know she had carte blanch to do anything she would like, I just wanted and updo and I was headed to a Christmas party right after I left. I was dressed semi formally when I arrived. She said great and started in on my updo. After several attempts over an hour, she tried and tried but failed to get my hair into an updo, she used hardly any product and some pins but I couldnt see what kind. Needless to say she had another client come in and in one last attempt I asked if she could just do a standard french braid and tuck the tail up, she failed at even doing that. Needless to say I never received what I came into the salon for. I asked if I had to pay anything and she said I had to talk with the front desk person. So I went over and asked, she said she guessed not since I had nothing done. I called the next day to talk with the owner and left a message. Then saw they had charged me for the service I didn't receive. I called back later that day and had to leave another message. By the next day around 12 I called again and AGAIN had to leave a message. I waited till 1 the following day and called again. She said oh didn't the owner get back to me yet? I said no and left another message. Finally i received a call from a gentleman who listened to what I had to say. His response was "Let me talk with the stylist and get back to you. He stated that he was told I had fine hair. I asked why that made a difference, he didn't have an answer. He said he would call me back the next day. I never heard back so around 6pm I texted and stated that since I hadn't heard back I would be disputing the charge. I received a dry response that it had been refunded. There was never an apology, how can we make this right? we shouldn't have charged you, NOTHING. Just an accusation that it was my fault I had just fine hair. The customer service was Abhorrent, As a small business owner I would never treat a client that way, especially a first time client. Thank goodness I didn't go there on my wedding day! I left there feeling frustrated, ugly and that it was all my fault. Shame on you for making someone feel this way and then not even caring about how you treated me. No one should ever be made to feel that way ever! DON'T go to this salon. They clearly don't care how they treat you. read more

Not what I expected. A friend and I scheduled a makeup and hair service. We were quoted 80. For a wash and style. Turns out the curl with a straight iron is considered an add on. The "style" part of the package was a blow dry. We were not told that getting our hair lightly curled would be an add on. The make was subpar. The artist was amazing but the product was so limited. I don't even do my makeup regularly and I have more options. Plus the eye lashes were also an add on even though the package we purchased said lashes, but apparel that means they'll use mascara. Not to mention they took so long we're were two hours late to our engagement I wasted 115.00 for hair abs makeup that I could do a better job myself. Don't waste your time or money. If you're in need of hair and makeup hire a local teen girl. You'll have a better experience. read more

I've had my hair done by Grace twice now, and have loved it each time! I came here because I am committed to Aveda products, and I asked her to do something totally new with my hair. We decided on a rose gold blonde ombré look, and it came it perfect!! Unfortunately, I wasn't made aware that the rose gold color is a fashion dye and only lasts a couple weeks. I went in, really bummed that my awesome color was gone already, and they immediately put me back on Grace's schedule for a re-do. I really appreciated how they handled this. On my second visit, I asked Grace for something more permanent, a deeper red color perhaps. I left it up to her and I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! Jordan has done it again!! This was my fourth time going to Blessings and my second time seeing Jordan. Jordan is the only person that has done my hair more than once (military kid) and I never want to go to another person again. Jordan does exactly what you ask for and is up to date on new techniques and the best ways to make not natural hair color, look natural! The salon is always so clean and smells good, and all the natural products leave your hair smelling amazing for days after the cut or color. It is a high end salon and the pricing is so reasonable for the experience you get. I feel very high tone in Blessings but it's nice to feel that way every once in a while, like I'm treating myself. I found out a back treatment is a facial for the back not a back massage. When I paid the $95 for the back treatment I asked if I could have a discount since it wasn't what I wanted. I recently went to Blessings for a simple haircut-- shoulder length and some bangs. The lady cut my hair to my chin length when i had asked for shoulder length. I asked for my bangs to be thinned out some so that they aren't too heavy and i have always had someone use a razor to thin them out evenly, my hairdresser snipped away at my bangs and I was getting nervous but wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I pulled my bangs back to wash my face later that evening and saw that she had chopped my bangs short in weird layers. i have never been so disappointed in a haircut! read more

I just dropped in to look for Aveda products, as I'm a big fan of the brand. As usual with Aveda boutiques, it smelled fantastic and had a hushed, almost enforced, air of relaxation. We were immediately offered tea, a nice customer service touch, to sip while browsing. I'm happy with the products I picked out, although the woman who helped me didn't seem altogether well-informed about the products. She was trying, but she also had a spacey demeanour (possibly spa-induced?) that was a little annoying. Trying so hard to be calm and soothing, but I was there to shop, not for guided meditation. As I wonder why I'm irritated with that sort of manner, I also wonder if I too, need an hour or two at a nice spa. Probably. read more
