From what I understand, there's no other place remotely like this in the USA, for now. PROS: Great for novices and kids, who want to get familiar with handling firearms, by practicing with air guns. The rules are the same, and although dangerous, I feel like you have a slightly larger margin for error. Don't get me wrong, air guns are dangerous! They should be treated with the respect of a real firearm. The owners here are awesome. Great safety briefing by John. He's super nice and engaging. The prices seemed fair to me. I imagine you could easily rack up a bill blowing through CO2 and pellets. But here, they keep a tally for you, which is nice. I had a great experience here. I would gladly go back. It wasn't busy, so we were fortunate to get John's undivided attention and safety lessons. We also had some range time with him showing us the ropes. They rent everything to need. Just bring yourself. The eye protection, ear plugs, it's all here. You can rent any number of air guns. High powered ones to smaller kid guns with pump lever action. The hand gun selection is great. Desert Eagle, 357, .45, Walther PPK, etc. Of course, they look like the real deal, but fire pellets. Rifle selection included many scoped rifles of varying power. We opted for an M4 with laser red dot scope. Awesome. You can get your Call of Duty fix on the range. CONS: None I could see this trip. OVERALL: Something really cool and unique to do. This was a great idea! I had my 2 nephews for the day, and as their favorite uncle, I looked up different things to do with them. They're 12 and 14 and this was perfect for them. Why take kids bowling, again, when you can go shoot stuff? It's a little expensive, but it's worth it. Here's how it works; First, you get a long safety talk and training bit. I was surprised the kids paid attention and listened. It was good - I liked that we can call these things "guns" here. I took a legit gun safety class once and we had to call them "firearms" and not guns or weapons. These are guns - call them what they are! Anyhow, after that, you can pick literally any gun hanging on the wall or in the cabinet. And there is a LOT to choose from. It is completely overwhelming as being someone who is new to this. We loaded up with guns, ammo, and targets and it was off to the range. The range is not huge - there are only 6 lanes - but we had it to ourselves to start. You hang your target yourself and use the above lever to move it back down the room. There are these neat camera / video screen things so that you can SEE the target even when it's far away. Also, way down at the end of the room were these metal targets that ping when you hit them. Apparently I can hit them when not trying, but never when I try to on purpose! This place has airguns and air-soft guns. Air soft uses a different ammo - like larger plastic BBs. The others use a small metal projectile. We had fun shooting. You can spend all the time you like there. You can always buy more CO2 cartridges or targets or ammo. I will say this - it took a lot longer to get up and running here. I was expecting a 1/2 hour training but all told getting everything going took more like an hour or so. It was close to dinner time so we were starving when we left. Not really a big deal - just wanted to set expectations with you so that you set aside enough time when coming here. Kids had a blast, they were better than me, which was not surprising. I bought a new bull pup air gun their and it was defective. The owner Jon would not help me fixed it. All he did was briefly look at it and said it could be this or that. Contact the mfg if you want it fix. Airguns depot or pyramid air would have sent me a return label to fix it. I had to spend an additional $40 to return a defective item. The store policy is that you open the box, you own it. Never put any money down for deposit as well. He is a small shop, mfg will send merchandise to him last. I had to wait an additional 3 weeks to get a gun when everyone else had it in stock. Last time I support that type of mom and pops store. read more

If you enjoy shooting for sport, but don't want to deal with the danger, noise, and recoil of an actual firearm, this is the place to be. This location carries a wide variety of various airguns powered by various means. These include break-barrel rifles, pistols, and revolvers. In addition, they also carry many things one would need to shoot, such as vision and hearing protection, ammo, and targets. Range itself is clean, and is a nice place to shoot. Monitors are good, however, it would have been nice if they followed/focused on targets rather than being focused on one spot (fixed depending on lane). There are also limited spots to shoot from. However, since this is a new, small business, I cannot deduct points for these two things, as they are probably cost prohibitive. Owner was very nice, giving a solid and engaging safety briefing, and showing me how to use the two guns I borrowed properly. When he realized the pistol's sights were off, he offered more range time, when I declined and asked for a partial refund on gun rent instead, it was not a problem. I will mention this, this location is not the cheapest. Gun rent is very reasonable, other things, such as pellets and CO2 are a bit overpriced. To save yourself some money, if you haven't shot airguns before, come here before buying anything so you know if you will even enjoy it If you like it, before coming here again, go to Wal-Mart, or a sporting goods store, and buy supplies there, but make sure pellets are lead-free! read more

I purchased 2 guns from New England Air, a Air Venturi Avenger and a FX Impact M3 compact. In both cases I had problems . The Avenger wouldn't hold POI and the FX showed up with a broken Micro/Marco system. New England Air told me they had no facilities to repair and I should take it up with the manufacturer. Pyramid and Utah would have sent me an RMA in a second. Nice guys, but not equipped or interested in standing behind what they sell. read more

Bought an umarex beretta 92fs. Would not fire in single action. Brought it back to repair or replace. He took the gun in to fix for about 30 minutes. Finally said it's normal it just needed to be broken in. I shot a couple hundred rounds through it and no change. I called back to come exchange for a new one but was told no and all of them would be exactly the same. I sent it back to umarex on my own and got the gun repaired on my own. Was extremely disappointed that they couldn't swap a $230 pellet gun knowing full well it was defective. Never dealt with them before. Just be aware if something is defective they will not replace. read more

Found NE airguns 2 months ago and have been visiting about 1 a week since then. John owns NE airgun and has been a great help with all my questions and servicing my FX wildcat. What makes this place great is John the owner, incredible customer service and attention, especially if this is new as it was for me. Switching from Firearms shooting to Airguns has been a lot of fun, these guns aren't like the junk I shot as a kid. Let me start off by saying that the owner was incredibly nice and super knowledgable. If that professionalism extended to his staff, however, we would have had a much better experience. The mandatory training was a joke. There were 11 or 12 basic but important rules that were listed on a poster, and the trainer just read them off. He also made sure that we knew that a highly skilled shooter like himself could kill someone with an airgun so don't shoot someone with an airgun because someone like him could kill you. Really. We rented two guns, a pistol and a rifle, and were recommended a certain type of ammo. After three jammed guns we were told, oh it's probably because we were using the wrong ammo. But how were we supposed to know that?! With the jams happening frequently, we had the trainer come over and try to fix it. This took up a cumulative 20+ minutes of the hour that we had booked. In testing the guns out, he also used more ammo that 2 of us combined for the hour. After all was said and done, we chose to just use one of the two guns so we wouldn't waste any more time fixing the other one. The price is fine, and you even get birthday deals. They have a range of targets to choose from that range from simple to fun. All in all, I don't think I will return. You might get a better experience with different staff though, so if you are super into low-stakes shooting, try it out. read more

I've stopped in here only a few times. First time was when John (the owner) was first getting started and was working on the range and building his store stock and supply. Had a chat with him and found he is one of the most genuine store owners I have met in years. Very intelligent and knowledgeable about ANY type of air-gun. Came back a couple months later to purchase some pellets for my own gun and backyard range at home. At that point he was a full blown retailer of a plethora of airguns. I even believe he is now a licensed AirForce dealer. The place has a great indoor shooting range and John will let you rent anything he has that you want to use. If you are a beginner target shooter, or want to get into marksmanship in general, air-guns are the perfect TOOL to start; if you live in Massachusetts New England Airgun is the perfect PLACE to start. This was my first visit to New England AirGun. I had never met the owner before. This is my way of saying this review is honest and sincere. I have over 45 years experience in the retail industry as an owner, manager, corporate trainer and salesperson. If you are looking to have a unique, challenging and fun time you will feel right at home. To my knowledge this is the ONLY air-gun range in the USA at this time.The parking is easy. John (the owner/operator) is friendly and helpful. He knows his stuff, but is humble in every way. You can bring your own airguns or rent one on the spot. The range is lead free, squeaky clean and very safe. Great for individuals, a unique dating experience, couples, families, special occasions or groups. Seems like it could be a fun activity as a company or corporate outing. The selection in his retail store reminds me more of a collection. They are spot-on choices made by a professional in his field. Prices are very competitive. If you just want to have some fun, enjoy the challenge of a precision sport, or want to save big bucks on traditional training at firearm range costs (i.e. ammo, cheap practice, basic safety training) you will enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. You can save big bucks if you do the math. In other words, why shoot dollars-a-round, when you can shoot for pennies-a-round to hone traditional firearm skills using relatively inexpensive pellets. Buy, rent-on-the-spot or bring-your own air-gun that has the exact look and feel of the equivalent traditional firearm. let me say I had a gun shipped there and for 6 months it didn't get done. the gun was leaking air . was told it was this then that. All kinds of excuses on why it wasn't done . I was told in the beginning it take a month or two. this gun isn't done I drove 3 hours to get the gun back.i didn't complain didn't see the need to make a scene in the store . he didn't even offer a discount for this. to get a bill from him took 1/2 a hour .he was all over the place trying to figure out what I owed him .beware don't let him fix your gun go elsewhere I have 3 pcps wanted someone near by to fix them well that was a fail. be smart your pcp costs a lot and send it anywhere but here . read more

This business is a clean modern facility offering a unique option for family fun. Safety is the first priority, I have taken my 12 year old son and 14 year old daughter to test their target skills with air powered pellet or Bb pistols and rifles. They have everything for rent at very reasonable rates. You can also bring your own equipment if you have already made that investment. My son has a hard time with heat and sun and all the family has far more fun than bowling. John has a store packed with equipment and accessories so it's fun to look around. I typically don't leave reviews but after visiting New England Air Guns a few dozen times now I thought I should share my thoughts. I am the person that will always look for the best deal for what I want. I look on the internet of course but come to find out New England Air Guns always has the same price for what I'm looking for as the internet! That in itself is amazing but the most I love about them is the knowledge they have. I never knew there was so much to the ( What I'll call ) real high Tech air guns. I currently own 5 with a #6 on the way. If they do not have it in stock no matter what it is I want. They get it for me so it's to the point that I no longer check there prices with the internet prices because it's always a bullseye when I do check. The indoor range is perfect for me for those rainy days and I cannot say enough as to how clean the facility is and how much the staff there really does care!!!
