I had the opportunity to take lessons from Benny a few months back and could not more highly recommend him to future students. He's a fantastic instructor who really knows what he's talking about and truly takes the time to walk his students through each and every step of the learning process. Everything from general theory, wind and beach knowledge, safety, setting up your kite, kite steering and control, body dragging, and water starts. Kiteboarding is a sport that absolutely requires proper instruction and after my 5 hours of lesson with Benny I had the confidence needed to continue practicing on my own. This is truly a sport that I could not be more excited to have taken up and I have to give a ton of thanks to Benny for his instruction. Benny takes the time to get to know his students and now that I can kiteboard on my own it's always great to say hi to him when i'm out at Revere or Nahant. I love that he takes the time to say hi and sometimes will even reach out to give you pointers on things you should be thinking about to improve. I accidentaly stumbled upon the sport of kitesurfing in my daily commute out of Boston. I loved seeing these guys jumping in the air attached to a kite. I knew I had to try this sport out so I started researching. After a quick Google search I decided my best bet was going directly to the source. On my drive home I stopped by the beach and observed. Someone directed me to Benny, the owner/instructor of New England Kite School as he was out teaching that day. Although busy, he still took the time out to briefly chat with me about kiting. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport convinced me to sign up. As a beginner, I would highly recommend taking the kite camp he offers. It's a full day class that starts with a ground lesson learning about safety, gear set up, wind conditions, handling the kite, etc. From there we made our way into the water and got as far as getting up on the board briefly. During the lesson it was clear that he had taught about half of the kiters who were out that day which made me feel even more confident in my choice.
