Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience with Dr. E. Throughout our interactions, I felt that he spoke at me rather than listening to my concerns. I repeatedly explained that my pain was in a different area than what he suggested, but my input often seemed to fall on deaf ears. When I finally got him to focus on my concerns, he agreed to review my MRI data--something I would have expected to be done early on, before recommending treatment. Unfortunately, when I arrived for the MRI review, he was 45 minutes late and informed me that he had been unable to access the MRI due to technical difficulties. When I asked why he hadn't called to cancel the appointment, he replied that he didn't realize I had one scheduled. Dr. E may work well for other patients, but my experience was not positive. I want a physician who listens carefully and reviews available imaging before making recommendations--Dr. E did not meet those expectations. In my opinion, it may be worth looking elsewhere, though others may feel differently. read more

I was very pleased with my visit to New England Podiatry Associates. The office is easy to get to on the T (short walk from Green Line Chestnut Hill stop) or by car, since they have a parking garage in the building. The employees were very nice and friendly, as was Dr. Murano. He recommended conservative treatment for my buniin, although he did explain surgery options. I was glad that he did not recommend surgery if it was not really necessary. The whole thing went very smoothly and I would definitely come back here if I need a podiatrist in the future. read more

Seen by Dr E. here at change of year 2021/2. I have seen other caring doctors here before, even spending a out of pocket "ultrasonic" sonic therapy treatment! Have to warn you,, this dr. has no one to listen to but himself. He snapped orthotics against the table fiercely and it went to demonstrate nothing didactic. His quote "I do things, in the past 30 years of practice..if a first and it works then b, if that b doesn't work, skip or go around it". God forbid when I tried to interrupt him, he'd go into z to a defensiveness..'you didn't tell me it was your heel after I squeezed your tarsals so hard I could break a chess piece". No compassionate attitude or gentle touch whatsoever, just counter-accusation. He even gave me a list of 4 diff shoe brands on a note, and when I came back to 2nd visit, saying most of them weren't effective, he went into dissociative harangue, "You told me one thing and then you come back and say another"EXCUSE ME for not knowing all the medical jargon he has, but using so-called expert power to barely cover an impatience and arrogance either means he's waiting to retire, or getting paid to treat patients like used diapers. I was recently referred by my PCP to New England Podiatry. Though my doc told me to see Dr. Haas or Dr. Green, neither was available so I ended up seeing Dr. Bock. I called on a Wednesday and they had me in by that Friday to be seen for a foot injury. The office is a little outdated, but it's clean. The front desk staff are polite and get the job done (I wouldn't go so far as to call them "friendly" but they aren't rude either). Dr. Bock came in and examined my foot and then sent me in for Xrays. The woman who helped me with the Xrays (also works the front desk, too) was very nice and complimented my ring and made polite conversation. After the Xrays came back (took about 5 minutes), Dr. Bock looked at them with me and he showed me exactly where the injury was. Turned out my foot is broken (I suspected as much) and after lots of talking, Dr. Bock said that the best bet was to treat it aggressively (crutches and a boot) and schedule a follow-up in two weeks wherein we would see how things were healing and he'd make further assessment from there. I was able to be fitted for a boot on site, but they don't have crutches. It's been a bit of a pain trying to figure out how to get an Rx for crutches filled (most medical supply stores want you to pay out of pocket for them and most pharmacies like CVS or RiteAid don't actually stock crutches) so I find myself wishing they would just supply them if it's something you want me to use! Anyway - I really enjoyed Dr. Bock. He was professional, kind and helped me to really understand what was going on with my foot and how we could make it better! read more

These guys are great. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Turbidy explains everything very well. He's got a good manner. He's very thorough and has been right on the money. Of note, if you get orthodics from here, you can either pick them up when they are ready or they can mail them back to you. The office tries to make it convenient for you. HUGE NOTE: BE CAREFUL USING GPS TO GET HERE. It's just nuts. Get directions from the office. It's VERY confusing. They have a free parking garage. This place isn't far from the mall. read more

I had a minor foot problem that hadn't improved in a week, so I decided I should see a doctor. I was able to make an appointment for the same day, and saw Dr. Hass. He listened to my description, checked a few things, then had an xray taken (they do it right in the office). He then showed me the xrays, explained what was going on, answered my questions, and gave me advice on care. He didn't try to sell me anything or propose any extra procedures, and the whole appointment was done under 45 minutes including paperwork. read more

He is extremely patient, listens to everything I say, explains exactly what is going on with my feet, very reassuring,very knowledgeable, extremely personable and truly cares. I have foot issues so I see him often, and he is always professional and very friendly. I do have one complaint regarding Dr. Haas "HE SHOULD BE A PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN" His bedside manner by far surpasses anyone I have been to. And his diagnosis is always right on. Having foot pain walking, my PCP had recommended that I call up this office at two different points, once around 2007 and once recently in 2014. In 2007, I met a doctor who looked over my feet, my shoes and insoles. He recommended throwing away the convenience store insoles, for a pair of Powersteps. Running about $50 and lasting six months to a year, they provided temporary relief, for standing and walking short periods and distances. A marked improvement from before, and I discovered these insoles were available for even less online. Fast forward to 2014, I was now working in a job that required me to stand for long hours. The pain which had never fully subsided, but had now caused my legs and hips to stiffen after just one shift at work. This time I saw Doctor Green. Looking at my feet, shoes and insoles, he said with my feet, I should have never been put into the Powersteps, instead needed to wear custom orthotics from stepping out of bed to getting back into it. Further, he handed me a sheet with a myriad of Merrills that I should purchase to further relieve my foot problems. I asked him if he wanted to see the shoes that I had brought with me, and he didn't need to see them, just recommended a pair of Merrills. Had he said yes, he would have seen I already owned a pair of Merrills that I've quite worn through. They recommended a product in 2007, which in 2014 they said, wasn't right for me. They recommend a type of shoe, assuming that I didn't already have it. The service from the office staff was mediocre. My custom orthotics had to get paid by my insurance company. They were supposed to call me when they approved, but I had to follow up with them. After the quoted waiting period, I called them and it was as if I had been forgotten, so I forgot about them. Their practice hours in the summer are abysmal. If you work anywhere but the Chestnut Hill Mall, you'll most likely have to take time off to see them, or go to work late. My recommendation to them is, "I understand how much you enjoy afternoon summer golfing, but stay open to 7pm one night a week." Over the two visits, this practice is not fully dedicated to providing the right solution specifically for their patients. It's a throw things on the wall and see what sticks approach to foot doctory. They didn't want to know what bothered me, or what I was trying to accomplish, just giving me a diagnosis that suited them. If they recommend custom orthotics, they'll demand the hundreds of dollars upfront, or delay your treatment for 6-12 weeks, while they wait for approval from your insurance company. Please don't go to New England Podiatry.. The front desk people are racist, impolite and outright rude and treat colored people really bad. The doctors are inflexible, I was late for a follow-up appointment, they didn't make the effort to look at me. They billed us, even when they said they accepted my insurance in addition to my copay.. We didn't see a single happy patient there.. This place outright sucks. I have never been to a worse doctor's office than New England Podiatry. Apart from all this, they try to sell you stuff for ridiculous prices.. read more

Steven Tubridy did bunion surgery on one foot in 2001. He butchered my foot and over shortened the metatarsal bone by 8 mm which prevented me from wearing shoes for 11 years and created horrible disfiguring problems with my foot. I was able to have foot surgery by an orthopedic surgeon 2 years ago who corrected the problems that had developed but the foot will never be normal or functional. Now I have found out that because of the strain placed on my other foot as a result of Tubridy's botched surgery, that I will need corrective surgery on that foot. I have been told that NE Podiatry is a production practice whereby they find procedures to do that will bring in insurance $$$. By the way, Tubridy's response to me when I was returning post-surgery in pain was "the truth is that you are getting older." That was my tipoff to go speak with other doctors. Dr. Turbidy does a great job on my orthotics but dealing with his billing department is an absolute nightmare. My orthotics were supposed to be covered in full for an in office appointment, but they were somehow billed as a home visit so i got a charge for $300. I spent 2 hours going back and forth with them and my insurance trying to convince the billing dept they had billed things incorrectly. The billing department was unwilling to see my side of things at one point debbie said she would not rerun the billing because it would take them another 120 days to get payment. On my 5th or 6th call to insurance I eventually got the disputes and resolutions department to call the office and set them straight and rebill the orthotics properly. Id advise going elsewhere if you dont intend on paying for your orthotics out of pocket. read more

My overall experience was not pleasant at all. I had an ingrown toe nail and just needed the side to be clipped a little BUT the doctor insisted that he needed to cut lower so I let him even though I knew it wasn't necessary. Later on I get a call from a debt collectors saying I owe money to this office and that my insurance didn't cover my visit. I later found out that they were sending me letters that I owe to the wrong address (I have no idea where they got that address from) and that they doctor said I had 'surgery' so then my insurance wouldn't cover that and I had to end up paying a chunk of money. All the doctors want to do here is scam you out of money from either the insurance or yourself. So if you decide to go here I advise you to ask exactly what they are doing to you and what is going to be billed to your insurance. read more

My 13 year old daughter was seen by Dr. Hass for an ingrown toenail. He did a procedure to prevent a portion of the nail from growing back. Dr. Hass was able to put my daughter at ease even when he was numbing her toe. She never felt pain and was back to her daily activities right away. I would highly recommend New England Podiatry to anyone with any foot problem. It was easy to get an appointment and the office is very pleasant and easy to get to. They have 4 doctors in the practice, so you can usually get an appointment the same week or even the same day if you have an emergency. I will definitely be back if I have a foot problem in the future. read more
