We recently had a two-story tall tree removed by New England Tree Masters. In addition to the nearly $2,000 that we paid for this service, New England Tree Masters charged us an additional $100 to have someone come by a few days later to grind up the stump. The person left a huge pile of stump grindings and tire marks all over our yard without hauling anything away. Two weeks later, we are still calling around, trying to find a landscaper with capacity during spring cleanup season to remove the pile of dirt sitting in the middle of our yard. If you use New England Tree Masters, expect to have to spend a few day and another chunk of change figuring out how to finish the job for them. read more

Quick response, very thorough, nice work. My regular tree guy was not responding, and I saw the New England Tree Masters ad in the "Concord Bridge," so I decided to call them. I'm glad I did. Issues I'd been struggling with all fall were resolved in a few days. I had them trim a very tall Cedar hedge and another hedge that I struggled with, clean up a tree overwhelmed by Bittersweet, and haul away a downed tree. They used a bucket truck for the hedge and tree. I called on Monday afternoon, got an estimate on Wednesday morning, and scheduled the work for the following Monday. It was all done in a week. New England Tree Masters is highly skilled to remove very complex trees. Their upbeat sales rep CJ looked at my nine 100-foot pines in the fall which were 225 feet from the road. He said no need for an extra-large crane. We can set up our crane in the vegetable garden in the fall or winter. The crane will reach them all from one set up. That was a relief!! The garden's soft soil was about 18" deep which the crane would sink into. It was decided to make road using 60 yards of 2" stone, three large dump trucks. The road was about 75 feet long. An excavator dug out a path and stone was laid 2 feet deep. On crane day the crew arrived at 6:45 am. The crane drove in and after an hour and a half it was set up. The crew members were happy and eager to take down the 9 tall pines. The furthest tree was a150 feet away. After 8 hours the trees were removed. Super-fast and efficient. The crew and CJ were delightful to work with. I highly recommend New England Tree Masters to remove your trees. read more

In less than a week after I first contacted the company I had an estimate and two days later my tall, completely dead maple had been felled, carried out in pieces by hand, chipped up and hauled away with no damage to other trees, my lawn and landscaping, my paver walkways or asphalt driveway. No mess either. They were the best -- highly skilled , efficient, and thorough under tight conditions where a bucket could not be of service. If they offered a half a star, I would give that. They quoted a job of removing a large oak tree, work scheduled the following Wednesday. They called the day before and cancelled, saying an emergency came up. No problem. We rescheduled for the following Wednesday. Again, they called the day before to cancel again. Ok, no problem again. Again, scheduled for the next Wednesday. When that day came, they were a no show in the morning so I had to call and they said they will call me back. They called back and said their equipment had issues the day before so they needed to go back and finish the job. Strike 3, they are out! Five stars just doesn't seem like enough. New England Tree Masters removed 30+ trees from our yard ranging from 6" to 30" diameters. From the first time I met CJ it was clear that they had the knowledge, scale, and skill to do the job. That was important because three of the large diameters trees were over 50' tall and separated our house from the neighbors with only 15' between the trees and each of our houses. Yikes! When the big day arrived they showed up in force with a 65 ton crane, chipper, log movers, and a crew of 8. It was like watching a perfectly choreographed dance routine. Everyone had a job, everyone worked in coordination with everyone else, and in 10 hours they were gone. The next day Martine showed up to remove the stumps and remove them he did. He worked hard for almost 8 hours in 100 weather to remove not only the top of the stump but what was underneath it as well. This company is the definition of "quality" and "value". I woke up Monday morning to see 1 trunk of a twin trunk 100' pine had come down in the front yard of our house. Miraculously, no damage but it was huge and I made some phone calls to have the downed trunk removed and the remaining tree taken down (also 100' in height). Carlos came out in the afternoon and gave me an estimate (cheaper than my other quote) and said he'd have a team out the next morning. A crew was there at 10 am and done by early afternoon. Not only did they efficiently remove the downed trunk and take the down the standing one but they cleaned up so thoroughly that a casual observer would never have known a large tree had fallen two days earlier. Quote was very competitive. I received texts and emails confirming appointment. The crew arrived on time, and worked very efficiently. I asked for a few minor accommodations, and they were very willing to do so. They were respectful of the property. The site was left squeaky clean. They returned a few days later to grind the stumps. I asked NETM for a quote on tree pruning and tree removal services in mid-October. Mr. Santos from NETM arrived on time and listened to what I wanted done. He gave me a price that was entirely reasonable considering the complexities of the work especially the tree removal. NETM performed the work on 11/2/22. The work was completed exactly as I had asked, within the time frame they stated and they left my yard clear of all tree-related debris. CJ came back to assess the damage and gave us a courtesy of finishing the job that was not finished at no extra charge. One thing he said was that I had to supervise the team at all times and that there was a "miscommunication," which made me livid, like I was not communicating or not supervising (!) a team of adults whom I am paying to do the job. The team came promptly in a couple of days and did a very solid work. They were cleaning and cutting the two leftover trees and yes, it took them an hour of time that they wasted the other day. I was there at all times this time doing yard cleanup work myself to "supervise" them. Oh, well... CJ even brought the new trash bin to replace the one that the crew crashed. Of course, there is no way to fix the oak that was cut bare of all but the top branches, but what they could, they addressed. I had three companies bid on the service I needed to be done, and not only was New England Tree Masters the most affordable, but they were able to work us in more quickly than the others.
