I recently had a very large maple tree that needed to be taken down. Jeff came out and quoted the job. He was here when he said he would be and was very professional. His crew showed up on the day and time he said they would. They went right to work after careful preparation. The entire crew worked as a team and completed the job in only a couple hours. The stump was ground and the entire yard cleaned up before they left. Great job, professional all the way and reasonable. Someone came by without an appointment after I hired someone. He asked what they're charging and who they were. Once I obliged him with the information he became racist!! He said the company will take me over the coals for stump grinding. "They're Brazilians you'll get what you get and I'm American. He said it angrily and I was appalled to say the least. That was Sat. 4/23/22. My tree was removed today with stump grinding for the same he would have charged for the work. Amazon Tree did a 5 star job. I'm glad I don't have it in me to have felt his threats just because of where people are from. He was wrong. read more

One star because Jeff Tolan (of JT Tree & Landscape) did show up for an estimate but then gets minus stars for accepting the job and then not showing up to do the contracted work, inspite of multiple phone calls requesting him to please follow up. Customer service is definitely not part of the company's work ethos. Untrustworthy, unreliable, undependable and disingenuous are adjectives that readily come to mind to describe them. read more

I don't usually post reviews, but I had such a great experience with JT's that I felt I had to. We had JT's come to prune some trees in our yard. After multiple estimates, JT's had the best price, so we booked a day. Jeff showed up as agreed and went to work. He and his workers were very friendly and professional, said good morning to my wife and I and then got straight to work. This team worked like clockwork together. As soon as a branch was down, it was moved away and chipped before the next fell. By the time I got home from work, other than missing limbs, you wouldn't have known they were there. All the debris was picked up, and my lawn had been raked! Would highly recommend JT's and will use them again when the time comes. Can not say enough good things about this company read more

I needed 4 big ash trees taken down. I got three estimates and found JT's to be 30% less than the other two. They arrived on schedule and with a copy of their insurance binder. I just hired JT Tree to take down 3 big locust trees between my house and the neighbors. They are great and it is really impressive to see how they do it and so efficiently. They came the next day and it was maybe of of the easiest things I have done. Sometimes these seemingly simple projects turn into a big production. Not with these guys...the team shows up, does their thing quickly and clean up too. I got a couple quotes and they were reasonable and professional. To get your business, very responsive to calls and pricing is reasonable. Paid to have big tree cut and stump grind. They tell you they will not take away grinds and you can use in your mulch beds so you are left with a mound of mulch. I paid them in Cash, I guess that's my fault as now they will not return my weekly calls for 2 months straight now. Since I've cleared out the grinds pile, they didn't fully grind down the stump. There are 5 areas that are above grass level that I cannot mow over it. Also the grinding wasn't deep enough at all and I will never be able to seed with grass to match up my lawn. I would basically have to put a mound of dirt over the stump and try to seed it. Reasonable price for cutting, but I would not recommend paying them for grinding service so you might as well just hire someone else to do both jobs. They won't call you back if you have paid and have a problem. Also, they have coupons out in the Valpak and another coupon book. At the time of my quote, JT said they stopped accepting coupons. Yet to this day they still have adds coming out with coupons. I know people usually buy like 3 months of adds, but it's been longer than that. read more

Had one tree and two stumps ground and debris removed. They never removed the chips from the grinding. I left him 4 messages and he never returned my calls. He said that the removal of the chips was not part of the deal. I would not recommend him at all. If you do use him don't pay until the job is complete. read more

Very responsive to phone calls and texts. Came over, very knowledgeable, once we agreed to use his company, the same week they came and took down 2 large trees and a few older bushes. We were not home at the time of the service, he missed a couple bushes, just texted him and the next day he came back and got rid of them. JT's Tree Service was very timely in responding to our call about having 3 trees removed. They came on time and were very professional. Unfortunately, one of the stumps (that we paid to have ground up) still remains in our front yard since they took down the tree in May. Despite multiple calls and emails to have them come back and grind it up, we haven't seen or heard from them again. Make sure all the work is complete before you write the check :(. read more
