I always have excellent service here. They specialize in cutting hair. There is nothing they can't do. From a regular no frills haircut to the latest hair designs. They do it all. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of them here. They can fit you in. My favorite barber is Eddie. He is awesome. He's my go to guy. But you have to find your favorite one. My son had his first professional haircut this week and we tried this barbershop out. We had a great experience and my son loved it. The barber David here was so nice and had patience with my son. At the end of my sons haircut one of the other barbers gave my son a lollipop and my son was so excited. I was skeptical about bringing my son here because I thought he would be scared. David made sure to turn on the clippers before cutting my sons hair so that he could be comfortable and it was a great technique. If you're thinking about bringing your kids here it is a great deal. Prices are great! I only paid $18 for a new kid. The barbers are nice and they play great music. I didn't want to go anywhere in Waterbury so here in Naugatuck it was great. Nice location. Clean. He texted me to let me know he got stuck in traffic but didn't mind because he was considering by texting me. He got me in and out and took care of me like a professional. Easily the best haircut I've ever had. I was traveling from Durham and needed to fix a spot my old barber missed before my cousin's wedding. I was just going to get a razor from the hotel lobby in Waterbury, but on a whim I looked for a barber. What I got instead was a realization that I needed to find a new barber when I got home. The haircut was professional, comfortable, and not to mention amazing. The attention to detail on my beard, neckline, and even ears and eyebrows was perfection. I ended up going to New Era today after Pete from Carmine's Barbershop refused me service because I cleared my throat in the store. Believe me I understand caution over the virus. My mother passed from it. But a small cough or throat clear does not mean one is sick. When people come in from the cold it happens. So headed down the street to New Era. They had a short wait and got me in the chair. Did a good job. They where friendly and even cut me a break on the price because I had planned on paying Carmine's rates. The cut I always get is a single clipper blade with no fade so I usually just go to the cheapest place in town, but New Era earned a new regular customer today. read more

Just rude they take to long to cut. I'm sitting here now for over and hour walked in on two people ahead of me. Now still waiting take who they want when they want don't care about customers waiting. I have seen posts on Facebook for this shop. I was in need of haircut so I decided to check them out today. The hours on the door said open Sunday 12-5, it was about 1pm . The door was open, lights on, one customer sitting in a chair with one barber. I inquired about a haircut, the barber said, "sorry we are closed today, open tomorrow". I ended up at Cutting Crew, got a great haircut. I will not return to New Era, you have lost a potential customer. read more
