At 55 years old I've had a lot of Chinese food in my life and I can honestly say this was the absolute worst. Rice has no flavor. Chicken in the low mein was fatty and my gf and I each spit it out after one bite each. Chicken fingers were all burnt hard and shriveled up as was the "beef" teriyaki. FOOD is affordable but the tastes are off I got a crab Rangoon , pork fried rice , beef teriyaki and spare ribs .. Rice was alright tasted a little burnt from being re-fried . The beef teriyaki I gave to a friend cause it was rubbery and pure nasty no flavor . The spare ribs looked good and had a good texture but they smelled odd . The crab Rangoons look nice but the outside part smells like clay dough .. and the inside filling has no flavor unless dipped in duck sauce . I' am not trying to be extra and I'm not painting a false picture here ... I'm writing this review as the food sits in front of me . Fried rice taste a little weird, so did the wings. They charge me extra for hot oil but didn't even give me any. Make sure you check your charges, they decided to double what I tip them. Won't be ordering from them again. SMH. read more

I have been going to New Great Taste since my son was 7 and he's 29 now. Up until 2 years ago, this place was gold. I loved it and always could count on it being affordable and consistent and I could always count on a pleasant voice answering the phone. Not anymore though. The phone rings and rings because the person who is supposed to be answering the phones is actually the cook. She is rude, doesn't give you a total, won't take your credit card for payment over the phone and absolutely will not honor coupons on their older menus. The portions are now tiny and the price has risen. I asked for extra veggies in my fried rice and basically got nothing. This place has gone down hill terribly. I stopped here for lunch takeout very recently . I got the L27 Shrimp Pad Thai with pork fried rice and hot & sour soup, which was packed and ready to go in about 10 minutes. The pad thai noodle dish had a mix of soft thin noodles with crushed nuts, eggs, big tender shrimp, and crushed peanuts, limes on the side. The fried rice (golden color) had a a firm texture with a mix of roast pork pieces and onions. The hot & sour soup had a spicy taste, which had a mix of vegetables, fresh mushrooms, bamboo, seaweed. Updated as of Jan 20th Food was awful. Second time it's been awful. I threw it all out. They are super nice people but the food was disgusting. Fried rice was super old! Chicken fingers were stale and dry. Egg roll was sopping with old oil. Egg drop soup...thick, nasty, old. Chicken wings, old. Egg foo young, no words! It was the worst. I just hate to leave this review because the owners are such nice sweet people but at the same time, I can't leave a good review while these are all issues that can and should be resolved. FRIST LET ME SAY THE PHOTO IS FROM "DRAGON KITCHEN "We usually get fried rice and chicken fingers ( and you only get four chicken fingers ,,Dragon kitchen you get seven!)and platters but the last few times we have gotten chicken lo mein with no chicken no vegetables so we ordered beef lo mein there was three pieces of beef no vegetables all lo mein ! all noodles !!! so we went there again a month later and ordered a house special lo mein hardly any meat at all ! with no vegetables! never going back to this place again and they're Duck Sauce is horrible something new that they're trying but it's horrible. I don't understand where the good reviews come from this place is horrible. The prices are good for the amount of food they give. Their daily lunch specials are an excellent value though! The atmosphere isn't very exciting: looks a little run down, old gum-ball/candy dispensers, and kind of empty. The workers are nice on the other hand! We were staying in a hotel down the road on Christmas Day and were looking for food - this was one of the only places open so we gave it a try. The General Tso chicken, crab Rangoon, and pork fried rice were EXCELLENT. Price was good and portions were more than fair. This is our go-to for DELIVERED Chinese food. And it has been for a while, maybe ten years. There are a number of items on the menu we order regularly and they are pretty good. This isn't where we go for sit-down. The fee for delivery is $1 plus a tip. Here's what we got this afternoon: won-ton soup boneless spare ribs house special lo mein fried dumplings crab rangoon egg roll beef with broccoli mixed vegetable shrimp with cashew nuts Gen Tso's chicken It was all pretty good. A few items were eaten right up, and we have left overs for lunch tomorrow and for snacks. The portions are good as they fill up the containers pretty well. They through in the usual stuff like duck sauce (both a covered dish and the little packets) and soy sauce, fortune cookies, etc. Also a large and a small steamed rice. Delivery is pretty fast, and the delivery person calls you to let you know they have arrived. Their menu has coupons on it, so ask for a menu. The Tso's chicken was a freebie via coupon. read more

We've been saying in a hotel in Tewksbury for 6 weeks and had struggled to find a good place for any kind of delivery until tonight. We had crab rangoon, pork lo mien, orange chicken, and a ting lake shrimp dishes. Both of the dinners were huge--easily enough for 2 people and stuffed with fresh chicken and shrimp rather than only vegetables. Definitely the best value of any of the local Chinese places we have tried. The pork lo mein had more pork than expected, although the size was a little smaller than expected. The crab Rangoon was fairly standard but still tasty. Bonus points for bringing duck sauce, soy sauce, and plates and utensils without prompting; and for delivering within 2 minutes of the estimated time. So happy we found you. Can't complain about this place I've been to so many Chinese places nearby my house some great but you pay for it or gross and moderately priced. Came here w/ my bf one night to try a different Chinese restaurant. Their beef and broccoli is amazing! I'm not going to lie, I thought this place was out of service considering it's in a middle of a busy intersection, barely any parking and it was always dim inside. If you get fish here its 50/50 good or rotten. they buy from people off the street who fish out of the merrimack river, the fish has mercury in it. they are very rude and never get the take out order right.
