The guy really packs in the food so for $12 a box it's def worth if you're in a time crunch and want a filling vegetarian meal. To order, order at the counter, pay at the cashier, and bring back your receipt to collect your food. The food is mildly seasoned and not super oily which I love - I def go home to add hot sauce/red chili flakes at home though. After I got the food I walked around the store to look around. Not sure about the fresh produce, but the dairy section is sooo pricy compared to what I'm used to at Trader Joe's for things like organic milk or non-dairy yogurt. I get that it's a small business but for the amount and speed my household consumes dairy, we got to go for Trader Joe's.

I been going into this store for some time now. and I always spend a good amount of money mind you…read moreI drive 1.5 hours away just to come to them I usually spend $100 or more. the last time I went into the store I noticed certain things that I usually buy looked a bit different that's fine I decided OK no worries I will still purchase the items as I am leaving the store walking to my vehicle I go and check on the Internet to see if it's OK what I was given because I'm taking a lot of things and I don't wanna harm myself at that point I noticed the dandelion that he gave me was very chalky white and when you look at that online it says that it was cut or has been mixed with four or whatever the case may be it's just not the actual one he gave me the last time at that point i than turn right back around and go back inside i respectfully and quietly due to them having customers show him my phone at that point he got loud tellin me don't believe the internet well his exact words was AI which I don't understand where that came from he don't trust the internet but I was a bit taken back and confused because he just did a whole google search to show me that what he was giving me was what I needed at that point I was a bit embarrassed and tried to just tell him hey I would just like to return that one item so I can leave he just kept gettin very loud at that point everyone in the store was watching him talk to me the way he was I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected it was very unprofessional after he kept going on and tellin me I don't deserve this or deserve that I than said I no longer want to do service with you now you can take everything all I was originally trying to explain to him was that it was a different color that it's was not pure that other in words, it might not have the proper nutrients he just got very upset. He continued yelling at me at that point he was very Hostile as if he was going to physically touch me coming towards me another gentleman that works there had to hold him back which was very uncomfortable and a bit ghetto for me. I thought, as if I was dealing with someone in the street and not in a business establishment I was calm at first, but as he kept going and disrespecting me in front of people, that's when I felt a little bit threatened by the situation. All I was gonna do was return that one thing literally that one thing but because again he was so unprofessional and very nasty I decided i no longer wanted his service so I returned everything I guess he did not like the fact I tried to explain to him what he gave me was not what I asked for or it was not the actual pure product so at that point again that's why I feel he was very angry.which make no sense to me if a customer is there saying they no longer want to purchase something that should not be a issue and let me make this clear that is the 1st time I ever did or ask them to do that He than proceeded to tell me that I wasted his time which again was not cool to say to a customer you are there to help he seemed annoyed when I was asking questions or asking about prices. I just wanted to make sure that I had enough for what I was getting because I was getting more things than the usual Let's make this clear again whenever a customer comes into a business establishment trying to make a purchase and spends money it should never be a waste of time that's your job to sell things. You should be happy. that's the second time that I went to that location and something was different. If you ask for dandelion root that's what you should be given when I asked the other gentleman his name at the end he didn't give me his name. This shop is located right across the street from the Cookies children's clothing store. The clerks were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the shop. All herbs were in alphabetical order. Just walking into the shop, you felt a sense of peace. Organization was the key in this shop. Everything was in order from the front to the back of this shop. Variety of spiritual items as well as herbs, tinctures, incense, powders, books, crystals, etc. Most herbs are sold by ounces. So far this is the only herb shop that had goldenseal left. Right around when Covid hit, Health Nuts closed it's doors for good and the community was devastated (I truly was). Since then I haven't found a local shop like that at all. Then fast-forward to last week, I went in search of Sea Moss. I was looking for raw, unprocessed sea moss, and when I did a search, his shop came up. Excitedly, I took the ride to Neil's (10 minutes from where I am in Bayside). This unassuming little shop packs a big punch. He did not have the raw, unprocessed sea moss, but did in fact have the already processed ones. The jars are labeled with dates and refrigerated. There are quite a few fridge's filled with fresh foods and drinks, as well as shelves stocked with whatever you could possibly need or want. If you don't find it, and he doesn't have it, Neil will help you get it! I wish I would've taken photos, but was too busy having a super pleasant conversation with Neil. From being there only a short time, it's quite obvious he has regular customers who have been shopping there for years, and it's also quite obvious that he treats both his longtime customers, and newbies who just walked through the door for the first time - exactly the same. Warm, friendly and makes you feel very comfortable asking questions, as his knowledge is amazing. **** Side note: Neil suffered a stroke last year, and thankfully he has made an amazing recovery and is doing well. After a short while, I try to be patient and give them time to do their job, I got a bit annoyed and waved the product around and loudly asked if someone could ring me up. After being asked, one of the guys who had made eye contact with me came over to charge me. I paid, took the product, no bag needed, and went on my way. I was already frustrated and really did not want to address it in the moment. What would be the point? They clearly know what they are doing and do it anyway, so why bring it up there? This is a better place to share that experience. I get it, it may have been a break or lunch period, but even as someone who does not run a store, I can tell you that at least one staff member should be attending to customers during that time. You do not just leave customers standing around, especially when there are several people behind the counter chatting and joking around, plus one more up front stationed behind a makeshift setup with a sign pointing customers to the back pharmacy. I was already in the back pharmacy. In the past, they tried to take over my prescriptions, but something happened that left a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot remember exactly what it was anymore, but I ended up going back to CVS for my medication needs. I still visited this location for smaller purchases though. This latest experience was just not acceptable and came across as very unprofessional. I have tried to support this place because it is much closer than CVS and it is a small, local business.
