I have tried many times and many ways for years to quit smoking and the out come was always the same (didn't work). I had tried hypnosis many years ago which was done in a room of about 50 other people and I felt nothing. David's approach was great! After each session, I felt that I can do this! He provides support not only during the sessions but also after by offering additional sessions at no additional cost. I highly recommend David (NHH)!!! read more

I wanted to get hypnotized due to my anxiety around doctors offices and vaccines. David was always great at scheduling out time to do the Skype sessions in hopes of helping me get over this crippling fear I have. We did more than 3 sessions because I felt it wasn't getting better by the end of the 3rd one. I appreciate the time he gave to help me, although, I still struggle almost the same amount I did months ago before we started this. I did not get what I was expecting to out of this. I believe hypnosis works on a lot of levels in person but it did not work well virtually. I was disappointed to go to the doctors after months of working on this and we still had to do the same sedating and whole routine where I am still a panicky mess during the whole appointment. I definitely recommend David to people who want to try hypnosis because I've read a lot of successful reviews, but mine unfortunately did not turn out like I had hoped. read more

Update: after reading my review, the owner reached out to me a fully refunded my sessions. He was very kind and emphasized how important it is that everyone is satisfied and if they aren't, he'll do what he can to make it right. For future clients, I think some true noise canceling headphones, comfortable seating, calm lighting and better connection to Skype would make a big difference. Do I think hypnosis can work? Absolutely! Do I think it can work virtually? No! The set up for this was terrible and part of me feels like it was a complete scam. I was told ahead of time the it was virtual. I was skeptical and should've trusted my gut. The hypnosis is done virtually via Skype with terrible connection, sitting in a fluorescent light lit office, in an uncomfortable desk chair wearing headphones that don't block any noise. Since it's in a shared office building, you can hear every single word, sneeze, and step out side the office door while you're trying to focus. I paid for 3 visits, pushed my way through 2 and didn't show up for my 3rd. It was completely uncomfortable and I yes'd my way through both appointments just to get it over with. Hypnosis should be done in a calming and comfortable setting. This is not the appropriate setting for hypnosis. read more

David is an awesome Hypnotist. He helped me with quitting smoking. I was researching the hypnosis process and I was impressed when he explained that he had a straight forward approach that doesnt require multiple sessions but if I needed additional sessions, he would provide them at no additional cost. All smokers want to quit smoking. I smoked for a long time, and have been wanting to stop for a long, long time, but willpower was not working, so I opted to try hypnotherapy, and David came up in my search. Overall an extremely positive experience. David makes you feel relaxed and at ease, allows you to openly discuss your smoking addiction, explains the process and answers any and all questions. The hypnosis session itself was as I think it should be, relaxing and effective. Following my session with David I was free of cigarettes, with no pangs or anxiety or weight gain, for a couple weeks. It was great. Then I experienced an extremely stressful life event of a personal nature, and I ran back to cigarettes. It is critically important that everyone who reads this understands this is absolutely no reflection on David and his abilities. This is not an exact science, everyone is different, and I view my starting smoking again as a failure on my part, not Davids. I mention it here because David is as good as his word - he wants positive results, and David is seeing me again at no charge. I look forward to this second (and last) session with David, and a long life ahead of me as a non-smoker. Overall, I highly recommend David. read more

I would not recommend this guy. For me it just didn't work. He charged me $200 even though I was e-mailed a half off coupon that I forgot to bring in so that stunk to start things off. His office was noisy and his lamp next to the chair was distracting. I never felt truly "under" and I was smoking again almost instantly. When I sent him an e-mail asking for either a refund or to continue to work with me I received no response even though he claimed he would do whatever it took to help. I am happy to say that I found another hypnotist that did help and it's been over 3 months now. I only mention that because I don't want people reading this to think maybe hypnosis just didn't work for this guy.... it did just not with David. If you are looking for a relaxing non-rushed atmosphere where getting to the core of your addiction is important keep searching. read more

Smoked for 20 years... Have tried to get hypnotized in the past and it didn't work. Went to see David. Made me feel so comfortable and after 1 visit I am now a NON smoker!!! I had no cravings and have not wanted a cigarette in over 35 days. I recommend him to anyone.... David is the best and I thank him for making me healthier!!!!! read more

I would just like to say that this experience did not work for me. About a half hour after the session I started to get cravings. I was told that I would not have cravings. Well I did and they got stronger as days past. I fought thru them for 2 days until I couldn't take it any more. Yes I broke down and started back up. I didn't start back up because I wanted to test the hypnosis or anything like that. I really wanted to quit. But It was no different than if I was trying to quit cold turkey. Except I wouldn't have lost out on my $200. It sucks to dish out money like that and get nothing for it. I did try to contact but I heard nothing. Thanks for nothing. I would not recommend David barron to anyone for hypnotherapy. I met with David earlier in October, I told him I really want this to work, he said don't worry just relax. So we had the seasion. I was sitting in a upright chair and felt very uncommfortable, but I tried so hard to just relax and open my mind. At the end I said I'm sorry I couldn't get really with it. His words "I know, you were moving a lot I couldn't tell if you were still in it". Now I didn't want to be "that person" so I went with it and left hoping I would feel different. He also said he would call in a week to see how I was doing. I never got a call.. so I tried contacting him and email as well. I never got a reply back. I wasn't even going to ask for my money back but now after not even getting a call or email I definitely want my money back! Again, I would NOT recommend David Barron from New Hampshire hypnosis to anyone, I would not want them to waste $200 like I did. read more
