The staff( from custodial, maintenance, activities, kitchen, nursing to administrative) has demonstrated a genuine concern for his medical(24/7 nursing access) and physical (meals, laundry, personal hygiene, a clean room) needs. The three meals per day he has thoroughly enjoyed, as he has put on fifteen pounds in his three months there ( served at his bedside instead of the spacious community dining room; he has been spoiled.) Our sister-in-law(Eloise G. -a nurse of 45yrs., retired) after visiting commended the facility and personnel for their cleanliness, lack of odors and professionalism-their caring attitude was exemplary. This assessment was very reassuring to our family. We thank his primary care physician ( Dr. Borgfeld) for having recommended Autumn Winds. My family would clean him up in the sink and use wipes. When I asked if they could shower him they said oh yes tomorrow is his day and I came the next day nope no shower still in the same clothes. He was at this facility to get stronger so he could show himself. We ended up taking him out after 5 days because they didn't do anything with him or take care of him. One night he fell bad hit his face and they called to let us know but it wasn't that bad. We asked should we take him to the ER they said no it fine. Went first thing in the morning not only did he get a swollen black eye he did need stitches. That was the last straw pulled him out that day.

My…read morefather has been there for rehab for months, and although some of the PT staff has been friendly, the "nursing" staff can only be described as inadequate, incompetent, rude, dismissive, and incapable. We have begged for pain meds to be given HOURS past their doctor assigned times. After my father made no sense for three days, we insisted that he had a UTI. We finally took an at-home test for him because they refused-stating FROM HIS NURSE, Lynette, that they "haven't noticed ANY signs". Now that we shared the results that he DOES, in fact, have a UTI.... We were told no doctor was available. I could go on and on. I won't even bother to share the story of how a nurse told my mother to be "more patient because she was with other patients" sharply along with several other rude comments made by YoYo. This was after waiting 2.5 hours for pain meds for my father. Ugh. Bed sores are the worst I've ever seen. This place is a JOKE ZERO STARS - we were warned not to go here by a hospital staff , but our hands were tied because it's the only place my mother could drive to safely

So if you're looking to be a nurse or CNA at this facility.. DO NOT. The current administration will force you to jeopardize your license for their bottom dollar. They enforce an unsafe work ratio and do not, in their own words, care about whether we stay or go. The nursing staff and disposable and undervalued. I had to quit before I compromised my license or got fired for not being in six places at once. Bottom line: veterans, welcome. I am a veteran and would love the care they receive. Nurses, steer clear of this facility. Just don't.

I am the daughter and am very involved daily in my mother's care as Juan, the owner, is very respectful of my requirement. Both Juan & family have addressed common issues quickly and together we have resolved them to the satisfaction to all interested parties. Caregivers are great as they are always engaged either with the resident or cleaning or cooking and in that order too. All three meals are cooked fresh daily and sometimes they even get some small snacks. We laugh at our unique communication skills combining both English & Spanish. But all is understood in the end.
