There is a historical carousel that I am in love with here. It's a beautiful touch if you're having an event. This center features a plethora of options to throw an event for a rental cost. They offer a reception hall, studio, carousel house, 2 multi purpose rooms, the gymnasium, and fields. The center offers a beautiful view of the city skyline at night. The park on the property is gorgeous and has a wonderful playground as well as walking trails.

Police did a great job directing traffic and long lines of cars. Large parking lots available and restrooms. Everything was very organized, and even though the crowd was large, it moved very smoothly. We parked in a neighborhood and had no problems getting out onto the main street. Fireworks were very nice and the open space was perfect for viewing the fireworks with no trees or buildings in the way.

Originally I rented the deck for her ceremony and the Dogwood for her reception but I cancelled the deck because of issues with the management. I had so many issues with management that I personally would never use this place again, at least not for anything that required decorating so ladies be forewarned that you can't use flowers of any kind of the deck. You can't hang anything because you aren't allowed to use any type of ladder. So pretty much no decorations at all. The worst part about renting this facility is that you get different answers from different people about different things. The guy that is in charge works like 4 days a week for 6 hrs a day so good luck with quick responses to questions. The only good part is for a small wedding if you dont care to decorate it's cheap. $80 AN HR. That's half a traditional venue cost for an off day. So there's that.

As someone who is shorter, it's also nice that their pull-up bars aren't built too high. I really enjoy not having to jump up to a bar for once, and I bet kids could easily use them as well. It looks like they have updated some of the equipment, which is nice. The location is kind of hidden, its in a residential area, tucked away. They have a basketball court, baseball fields and play equipment including swings. The landscaping is not a neat as the other nearby parks, so its hard to give more than 3 stars. The city does host a 4th of July festival here every year as it has lots of space. Overall, its a cute little park that never gets very busy.
