The school is a perfect size - small enough for individualized learning but large enough to support a range of special interests (sports teams, arts, etc.). Students are encouraged by both teachers and peers to try new things and are celebrated for whatever their abilities are, whether academic, athletic or creative. There is a vibe at the school - kids and teachers are happy and glad to be there - which is hard to describe but easy to see. Academics standards are excellent and our sons had no problems being accepted at George School. Although not affiliated with a religious group, strong moral and personal standards are taught and expected from students, helping them develop into responsible and capable teens. Technology is well integrated into the curriculum from the earliest classes onward. The graduates I've seen over the years are generally respectful, grounded and confident kids who are comfortable with themselves and proud of who they are as individuals.
