A really quaint escape from NYC just a couple of hours away. The whole Main Street is along the river and has bourgeoise villager vibe.

We ended up parking on the side of the road near the visitors center. There are bathrooms, store, and native nursery plants for sale at the visitor center. Everyone was so nice and helpful with our first visit here. They provide a map of a variety of trails which are rated easy, moderate, and hard. I opted for the moderate trail which had some inclined and stairs. The Virginia blue bells were in full bloom. The trails were mostly shaded making it a comfortable hike. We also brought a picnic basket for lunch. There was a table at the visitor center and more tables at the entrance of the preserve if you wanted to have more seating.

It was busy on a warm Saturday afternoon, but there was plenty of parking on the road leading up to the Visitor Center. Then, after you've purchased your admission, you can wander their 12 or so trails that wind through five miles of the grounds. The highlights of my visit were the trails that ran along the creek, the stone bridge, and the new pond. In summer, it was a bit too hot for the wildflowers (I bet spring is incredible here), but it was green and wooded and beautiful. I spent a couple of hours exploring the grounds, and it was a great way/place to stretch my legs and take a break from town! If you like a trail, Bowman's Hill is a great place for that just minutes from the center of New Hope.

This was my first time at this theater, and I loved the intimate setting. Every seat felt like a great seat. The set design and scene transitions were fantastic, and the talent on stage was absolutely shining. The audience participation was everything you'd hope for. People were shouting the classic one-liners, plus a few fun modern twists that had everyone laughing. The goodie bag with rice, a newspaper, and cards was such a fun touch! The best part came at the end when every attendee was invited on stage to "do the Time Warp" with the cast. It was organized, energetic, and so much fun! Frankie Grande was incredibly gracious, he met every fan outside afterward for photos and autographs, taking his time with each person. He was warm, sincere, and clearly grateful for everyone who came. I also want to give a huge shout-out to the theater staff. During "The Time Warp," a guest had a medical emergency. The house lights came on immediately, clear instructions were given, and within seconds, two doctors in the audience stepped in to help. The situation was handled with incredible professionalism and compassion. After a brief intermission, the show resumed, and we were later told that the guest was going to be OK, which was such a relief to hear. Thank you to the cast, crew, and staff for creating such a memorable and heartfelt night. I'll never forget it!

The one thing we knew about New Hope is their train. My fiancée enjoys these trains from growing up, so this was something up her and her brother's alley for the day. We were a little lucky in some ways that the crowds weren't as large when we took the afternoon train. I guess there was a parade going on during the day that suppressed the train crowds. But it wasn't too bad. We just took the standard 45 minute train ride. It doesn't go deep outside New Hope, but it's a nice and serene ride of sorts. Nothing too crazy or special. Yes, it's slightly overpriced, but there's still a little charm to being on this old school train. Note that we didn't bother getting any food or drinks, so I can't review that part.

It's not like they hide it and then spring it on you. Yes it's difficult to understand what's being said through the speakers. They need to address that. But the employees who walk through the cars answering questions make up for it. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. The ride through parts of New Hope was a delight. I had a cousin visiting from the West coast who is, "in to trains" like Sheldon Cooper! He was absolutely thrilled. We all loved how the people in the houses along the way waved to us. If you enjoy vintage trains and a nice ride it's great. The children that were on board all seemed to be having a great time. Next time my cousin visits he already requested that we return. We will!

What a wonderful opportunity to see this independent film of this wonderful concert from 1973. There were too many moviegoers tonight probably because of the weather conditions outside. I'm really happy with the movie available tonight at something different and really enjoyable . I look forward to coming back again

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ACME Screening Room in Lambertville NJ…read more We are 2-year dual members thus far. In the three years since living in Bucks County and first finding the ACME, they have fundraised to upgrade the chairs, the screen, and digital projection equipment. They have also like overnight somehow been able to acquire viewing of the most current indie and foreign films. Top films at that. We just saw Stan and Ollie, Shoplifters, Cold War, and many other excellent films. Just last night, 3/2/19, we saw a South Beach Miami documentary of two photographers that captured the life and evolution of South Beach. Well done and informative. Just in the past 4 months, we've seen more films at the ACME then at the Montgomery Theater in Skillman and we no longer drive out to the Ambler, Hiway or Colony theaters. I've also participated as a presenter at two 20x20 Pecha Kutcha events and recently volunteered to photograph presenters of the Feb 8th event. Feels good to be apart of the community. Support the ACME so that they can continue to bring us such great film and other experiences.
