My counter to Kevin L. I disagree with every point he made!…read more On two occasions, I was a resident at Homestead. The first visit was after I survived (barely) a AAA ruptured Aneurism. I found the staff to be knowledgeable, dedicated, friendly and caring! I was there for 100 days, coming from Morristown Hospital and Kindred Hospital. I was admitted as a basket case, just 90 days after a life threatening event. The nursing staff: RN's CNAs, Aides, support staff, all took care of me! They were ALL friendly and helpful! They were knowledgeable & efficient. I liked the food! I liked the rooms! The Therapist worked with me! I had Occupational, Speech & Physical therapy! I entered Homestead as a basket case and was discharged to my home, 100 days later, in my wheelchair! My doctors could not believe my progress. They said it was because I worked so hard to get better BUT I say it was because I had such good help from everyone at Homestead! 'Good Vibes' promote healing! Two years later, I developed an abdominal hernia! My belly expanded to a 65 inch waist. I looked horrendous! My doctors performed another life saving operation to close up my abs with 170 staples and I returned to Homestead for a second Rehab! Again the excellent therapy and the care and concern of the nursing staff had me ready to go home after only 30 days. I came in by ambulance and walked out the front door with just a cane! I hope I will never need the services of Homestead Rehab again! But if I do, I know I will received the best treatment available. So, Kevin L., I'm not sure how long you "worked" at Homestead, but you could not have given it a chance! Maybe, just maybe, you were never destined to work in hospital services.

Our Aunt and Uncle have been at the Gardens of GreenRidge for almost a year now and we are so…read morepleased to have found this caring home staffed with such competent people. Our Uncle is in the memory unit - he needs a higher level of care and the ability to be kept from wandering away. His wife is literally on the other side of a locked door, able to see him and visit with him at any hour of the day or night - but without the constant worry that he will fall or wander away when she is sleeping. It's a good solution that allows them to be together without worry. Our Aunt is quite mobile, active, and socially engaged. And although neither wanted to leave their home of 60 years, she is no longer lonely, and no longer worries constantly about the ability to care for her husband. When our Aunt took a fall, she was placed in the hospital care portion of the Gardens of GreenRidge next door, and received excellent physical therapy. She is now back up walking around and feeling great. She loves the weekly bath in the deep soaking tub (attended by staff member) and the in-home hair stylist appointment each week. She raves about the meals, and loves seeing so many people she knew from years ago with whom she had lost touch. My husband and I are very pleased that the staff welcomes our visits, never asks us to call ahead, and always seems happy to see us. The facility is brightly lit, well taken care of, and smells fresh. Our Aunt and Uncle have good things to say about everyone and about the facility itself. Yes, they miss living at home, but both seem less stressed and are adjusting to a new style of life. We feel so fortunate that my sister-in-law and her husband found this facility, made the arrangements to have our Aunt and Uncle accepted here, and have a peace of mind that our family is well taken care of. We highly recommend a visit. The only reason I did not rate it 5 star for activities is that I am not aware of any "outings" into the community to go shopping, etc. This would add additional costs, I am sure, but would be a nice bonus.

The security welcomes you everytime with a smile . Just make sure you know therapy is down in the lower lobby.. LL. i had a stroke at age 26. one in a million chance ... i started my rehab therapy at lutheran shortly after being admitted. Once released i went to the shore rd center because its closer than 60th for sp[eech, ot and pt. My occupational therapist Romana is as intelligent and knowledgeable as it gets. She knows how to multiply herself when there are more than one patient as well. Her interns are well selected and experienced before coming. I couldnt ask for better people handling my recovery. She did her best to accomodate me with tools, info, props notes for work.. you name it. My physical therapist Lauren is also a godsend. We clicked right away. So professional yet cool. She has her doctrine, whats better? She does pt and helps out patients with other touchy sensitive problems. Evetyone there couldnt be nicer, they all interract great and give advice and wish you a nice night etc. Front desk :steven and jeanette are the best with planning appointments that fit YOU. we appreciate everyone so much, when we make cake at home, they get half of it. After goin since july 2011. I have upgraded 2 canes, walked up and down stairs, treadmill, moved my arm and hand which i thought was never possible, and overall self improved mentally with their guidance. Im back to work now and doing things like walk on a beach in puerto rico(this november) and swim in a pool. couldnt thank them enough. Try them out if your in need of some fixing. oh, and good luck, feel better

I have been there in the past and it was the best place no complaints. Now 2025 I left after day 4 ... I tried to ignore the nurses talking about me and stay to help myself but I continued to hear other girls saying how the nurses talk about patients calling them by the drug they use ex. (Methhead) ... It seems there was a lot of patients that had to be there because court order which is fine. It just seemed they did not seem to take it seriously and seemed to be more likely to use again once out. I went in on my own to actually help myself. It was very chaotic and overwhelming and I also felt somewhat scared not for help but because of some of the girls. I felt they wanted chaos and drama. It felt more like a mental institution. Or jail house. There was some really lovely girls who did want the help. There were just so many things that happened in 4 days that made me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Yes I know it's uncomfortable at start but this was different. I also wanted to see the doctor to help me with stretch I can do for a possible pinched nerve. I felt ignored or maybe they thought I just wanted drugs. Btw I am an alcoholic also have trouble taking pills from ptsd. I don't take Tylenol unless I'm really hurting. I am so upset from this experience this time around. I am so sorry for anyone else that has or will feel like this by Marworth. The lectures where great though. I am thankful to have heard some messages before I left. I am very thankful for that
