Depending on when you stop in, one or the other will be in the shop but both are versed in the wares offered by the other. If one can't answer a question, she'll be honest about it instead of making something up. Truthfulness with no sales hype is always good. Although the clothing side promotes itself in its name as "New Karma for Old Threads", I didn't really see it. I suppose because some of the jeans look worn and the clothing has that soft well-washed appearance, it might lead to thinking they've been repurposed. They're not. Cute, comfortable, and with that worn look that whispers "old" but to someone familiar with the brand actually says "not cheap". Happily it's not screaming "outrageous," either. The clothes look cute, comfortable, and with more than meets the eye. The jewelry side (Jewelry by Monnda) is equally interesting. Although most of it was not my particular style, I still appreciated the artisanship that went into it. There are some beautiful pieces. Some things made using materials already cut; others made from the base materials give a full picture of the jewelry/metal-smith's work. Silver, copper, some gold, precious stones: everything you'd expect. On this particular day, I think she was holding a class, but she and her student (?) let me behind the counter to see the in -process design and answered questions. Fascinating stuff.

I know what you might be thinking kind of pricey, but the brands of jewelry they carry are empowering others. The brands restore power and offer outreach to women who have experienced challenges.
