He diagnosed the problem, told me that due to the severity the only option was surgery, and finished with the successful pain relieving surgery. Fast forward, I'm not sure how many years since that surgery and no pain but several months ago I wondered if it was coming back. In this modern era I researched on the internet and found carpal tunnel syndrome can reoccur. I convinced myself this was the problem and finally got around to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Blackburn. Today I went for that appointment and was once again impressed with Dr. Blackburn's professionalism, his examination , the x-rays to confirm his diagnosis, and the treatment. Great news it was not carpal tunnel, did not need surgery, and was treated with the fitting of a hard wrist brace. I'll go for a recheck in 6 weeks but I can tell there was Instant relief from the pain the minute the wrist brace was fitted. Thanks again Dr. Blackburn! You are Woohoo, as good as it gets.

HORRIBLE OFFICE/ Let…read moreme start off by saying I personally worked with some of the physicians in this office and I do think they are top notch. My personal experience was horrible, I was attempting to make an appointment for my 12 yr old son after we were hit by a driver who ran a red light. My son was immediately taken to the ER and dx with a broken hand on 5/18, we were told to get him into Louisville arm & hand as soon as possible. On 5/20 (Monday) we called to make the appt and was told we can not without the proper claim information . We promptly got that and called the office back with that info. The first person we spoke to stated the insurance company would have to call. We asked for the number they need to call and were told the lady who takes care of this does not recieve Incoming calls because she was too busy. We asked if we could provide the number to call and was then told that she does not place outgoing calls either. Some one please explain how someone dealing with insurance does not place or receive calls?!? We contacted insurance desperately because my son is in pain and plays sports and we need to know what is happening with his hand. As a RN myself I was afraid it was healing improperly during the time we were waiting. So our insurance company called the office. By 5 PM that day, I got a call asking if I still want my son to be seen?!? I said of course his hand is broken. The female stated she would need the insurance information. I explained this had been provided 3 times now and she said, " oh yea, I see that in the chart. I will have someone call you tomorrow to schedule." 5/21: By 1 PM we had no call to schedule so I reached out. An extremely rude woman said she could not help because it shows the insurance was in there but not confirmed. I explained I got a call last night saying it was confirmed. She said " welp, I can't do anything because there is no note in the chart" I asked to be scheduled as a self pay and she said " we can not and will not schedule your son as it is a motor vehicle accident and we need to claim to be confirmed" I explained he was in pain, he is young and plays sports and she said " this is not my fault and I can't do anything" she said she could send a note back to the woman who takes care of this but that is all as that individual does not accept incoming calls" I called Louisville Ortho immediately and was able to schedule my son for a visit on 5/22 with no issues. It is 5/22 at 9:30 AM and I have yet to hear from Norton Louisville Arm and Hand. Absolutely unacceptable service and response time. Extremely rude and unknowledgeable office staff. Will never send anyone there for any sort of treatment.

After living in Louisville for 4 years and going to immediate care on the rare occasion I felt sick, I decided that a) I'm not getting any younger and 2) I really should get a doctor instead of relying on whomever is available when I do need medical care. Once I made the decision to get a PCP I started doing some research. A lot of research. A HUGE amount of research. From the very beginning I kept coming back to Baptist Health Medical Group. In particular, Dr. Wanda Lowe. Sometimes you just get a feeling about some things. I talked to many offices and read a lot of physician's reviews and all roads (and reviews) kept pointing to her. I made my decision and made an appointment to on-board with her. Appointments for new patients was bout 5 weeks out at that time, but I wasn't sick or in need of immediate care so I waited it out. Appointment time came and I made my way to the office. Keep in mind I live in J-town, so it was a bit of a drive, but I knew this was the right doctor for me. When I arrived I did some fast paperwork and sat down to wait. Less than 10 minutes later I was taken back and met MaBell, her assistant (for lack of a better word) who took some vitals and went over medical history, allergies, etc. After then Dr. Lowe came in. I was very impressed with this visit, being my first one to this facility. Dr. Lowe was very thorough and very personable. Her patient manner is very relaxed and attentive. She takes the time to listen and doesn't rush to conclusions. She is genuinely very nice and, based on my comments about Dr. Lowe to my wife, she decided to user her as her PCP as well. If I could give higher than 100% to this office I would. The office is very clean and nicely appointed, the staff is very friendly and very helpful, and everyone I met is concerned and cares about the practice and the patients who come here. I know it took me some time, but in the end it was the right choice for me. As long as I'm in the area and Dr. Lowe has a practice, here's the place I'll be going.

I called Dr. Kimberlain's office based off his 5-star rating on other review sites early morning to see if they could make space for both of us that same day. Surprisingly, his admin was extremely friendly and professional, answered all of my questions and generally made me feel very comfortable. We arrived on-time to our appointments but had a mountain of paperwork to fill out with numerous questions, which pushed back our time by 30-40 minutes. I was nervous the doctor would be upset with us but he treated us in a very positive demeanor and took great care of us. The office was clean and comfortable, the staff was fantastic and the doctor was thorough. I asked many questions and he took the time to answer everything in detail, knowing full well that we probably wouldn't be returning patients considering we are from a different state. Lastly, I want to say you don't see many reviews on my profile - there's a reason for that. I only make an effort to review businesses either when I want to warn others of how terrible or how amazing they are. Dr. Kimberlain was just absolutely fantastic.

I wanted Dr Carter to just remove the cam fai part and stay out of the hip but he said he needed to get into the joint. I asked him if there was a chance this could make my hip worse and he said no that the surgery should not make my hip worse. On the day of the surgery I told Dr Carter that my hip had been feeling well. After the surgery he told my girlfriend that I would need a hip replacement. Dr Carter did not see me after the surgery and I was not able to see him until about 3 months after the surgery. There was a problem with my appointment after the surgery. When I went to the office there was no one there who could take my stitches out so I removed the stitches myself. Dr Carter never told me that there was a chance the surgery could make my hip worse. He did say that results were not as good at my age but that's it. Also Dr Carter did not require me to get an arthogram of my hip. I only got a regular MRI. I have had about 4 surgeries on my other hip and all the surgeons saw me after surgery and then about 3 days later. And all previous surgeries required a hip arthogram. Also the other surgeries were all good results for my hip. I have more pain and disability with my hip now than before the surgery. This was my first surgery on this other hip. I made a very bad decision to get surgery from Dr Carter and wish I had not. Now I will need a hip replacement because of this surgery. I had no idea this was possible and am quite unhappy about it. I do not recommend Dr Carter.

I said aw man, I forgot to grab the list, but I filled it out online. Well you don't have to get upset with me she said with a firm hostility, I'm not upset at all. Just concerned I won't remember my meds is all. They were in my file the whole time? Then Dr. Price bolted into the room briefly asked what was going on, cut me off while I was talking, told me he didn't see anything on the x-ray to match with the pain I was having. Most doctor's smoothly slowly exam range of motion during the leg exam, NO! He rapidly shoved my legs back as if to play with a young child. Extremely painful, but he had already made his mind up that I wasn't having any issue. I was wearing a skirt he didn't bother covering me up as he flailed my legs around in the air even thought I had asked for covering! I asked did he view the MRI imaging that my other specialist saw issues? Extremely arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. Really spoke down to me as if I were crazy and not in extreme pain. As he roughly shoved around on my back during his brief exam I explained I was having a spinal fusion surgery and disc removed in my lower neck, he scoffed as if I didn't need that either. Tried quickly telling him I had severe pain in lower back and possible fusion there as well, but he cut me off again so I wasn't allowed to explain that either. THREE TIMES he shoved where my other damaged disc was that's pinching on the nerves!!! I was gasping for air and instantly sobbing as he told me that's where my hip pain was coming from. AGAIN my spine specialist saw in the MRI and showed me where my hip bone was pushed over rubbing bone on bone in the socket. He left the room, I hobbled over to be sick from the pain HE INDUCED then took my next muscle relaxer. He comes in to see me picking up my leg then dropping it when I walk he cockily asked WHY ARE YOU WALKING LIKE THAT? You need to bend your knee, no wonder you are in pain, AS IF I'm causing this debilitating pain! Like it's my fault? Through my tears I try to explain it hurt moving the joint around, this has been the only way I have been able to survive throughout the day with the pain. He finally admits to seeing what the other two doctor's saw, didn't give me a treatment plan, my options, nothing! Offered a shot in my hip, I'm still trying to collect myself and in shock that a supposed top notch doctor couldn't be so condescending and pompous to his patients, but I now see he has 12 other poor online reviews over the years stating the same exact situation and character. Well done you want the treatment or not?! I really wanted to bolt out of there but my children need me back to some kind of working order and my other surgeries are approaching. He finally gives me a gown but hikes my skirt all the way up and my panties down vs just pulling both down a little bit from the top as I requested. He doesn't sterilize the area, slowly put the needle in but it was very painful. His nurse suited him as she was just as rude and abrupt as he was looking at me as if I were petty, I hear her from the hallway, all needles are uncomfortable. Didn't bother telling me what to expect from the injection, treatment plan ...nothing! DON'T PAY "THE PRICE" go anywhere else but here!
