I have been taking classes here for a couple of months now, and I have been pretty happy with both the instruction and the facility itself. If you are looking to get some computer certifications, this school is partnered with most of the major players: Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco and others. One great thing about this school is that all of the workstations have dual monitors, so that you can follow the instructor's presentation on one monitor, and work through the labs on the second monitor, allowing you to toggle between screens easily. They offer both instructor led classes, as well as mentored learning, where you can study independently through the labs on your own pace. In all honesty, most of the focus is on self-study, so if you are looking for a place to hold your hand during the learning process, this place is not it. Also, if you are studying for a certification, you should probably buy supplemental books just to fill in some gaps in their study material. The facility itself is very clean and well laid out. The classrooms are on the cold side, so I would advise bringing a sweater/sweatshirt. There have been times that it has been so cold that it is hard to concentrate on learning, so I wish they would do a better job of climate control. The staff here is usually helpful and willing to lend a hand, especially Felicia, who is able to track down answers when you need them. Note to Management: Get some chairs for the lab rooms that are at least semi-ergonomic. When you have to sit down at a lab for close to 8 hours, the chairs you currently have don't cut it. read more

**UPDATE** I received 3 calls from Michael in admissions 2 I missed he left a voicemail and I answered the 3rd. All call were back to back. I did not answer cause I was I little ticked off about my experience so far and I had spoke to the someone at the San Diego location who actually helped me. But he was persistent so I answered. Big mistake, he was rude and nasty from the start. Asked my name and one I told him he proceeded to tell me how messed I was for Calling him and leaving messages for him(he's the onlly admissions person there) and I also called the receptionist to see if I could speak with someone else. She offered his supervisor I declined. She said he was out of office so I waited. But further into the call he tell me he's ticked off and he has a wife and kids to feed(don't know why I need to know) and a lot more. I'm Marine could have gotten nasty right back with him. But I told him how I can understand being frustrated but with his position within the company there's other means to do your job and vent. But on the phone with someone who wants to use their military benefits at a institution he works for is not the place. After my review here I received a message to give a call to voice my concerns ironically it was right after my phone call. So instead of me telling them about how o cost reach anyone it was about my experience with Michael. I can say they were nice and seem genuine. Again I will not let one person ruin what this place can do for me. And after the phone call I'm more than happy with the outcome. This is my second review of this company but with another location. I've had a slightly better experience here over the San Diego location. Again I try not to be biased about reviews and make own experience. I want to get my certifications and what not. So I call the place the first day, boom got a hold to a operator right away and she transferred me to admissions. Spoke to a Michael Moore or Micheal something. Told him what I wanted and he said cool can you come in today for a tour and to discuss a plan of action. I said not today but I can call tomorrow after viewing my schedule. He said ok..click. I call him directly the next day 8 times! Left two messages no answer, he's the only person there that does admissions. What kind of place only has one admission person?? But I only found out by calling back to the operator and saying can I speak to someone else. She says no he's the only one. She checks where he is and says a meeting off site. I say thanks call him again leave another msg still no reply a day later. The only positive thing about this location and the San Diego is the operator actually answers but they only answer after 1pm. It's really sad. I'm very interested in what this place offers but they make it hard to want to deal with them. I'll update this accordingly read more

All you do is watch a bunch of videos, then you have an online instructor led course that goes over the same power pointts used in the videos you just watched. You might as well go buy a book and watch Professor Messor on youtube for FREE because his videos are better. read more

I went here for training that was paid for by my company and I chose this facility since it was the nearest in my area. I was very surprised to see how clean the office was including the restroom, break room, refrigerator (brought my lunch), and lab/computer room/ classroom. If there was one thing that bothered me it was that they didn't have fresh coffee or no coffee made. Good thing I picked one up at my local gas station. Would I come here again, yes. This place has got to be the worst customer service. I called and asked to confirm a test date and Felicia said it would be easier for me to ask someone else. I called back with more information and to ask to speak to someone else. She was having a conversation with someone while I was on the phone. Apparently she didn't know how to place me on hold. Didn't ask me to hold. Just went right on talking to whomever was in front of her. read more

Have had nothing but great experiences here at New Horizons. The classes start early, but that helps avoid traffic. They offer many different kinds of training and are always professional & thorough. I have enjoyed working with Mahsa throughout the process and look forward to working with her and New Horizons in the future. I sent my inside and outside sales teams to New Horizons for excel training. We're on 2010 and it's made a huge difference. Another thing that was night and day difference is the two monitors at the center where we took our training. Everyone agreed they would be more productive after the training and we convinced our IT team to get us dual monitors. We've completed level 1 so far and are heading on to level 2 and 3 in 2016. read more

I am scheduled to take a very important test here soon and I decided to check it out to relieve some of my testing anxiety. There was plenty of parking available and the room was really easy to find. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Felicia, who was seriously such a sweetheart! I can't express how much it helps to be in an environment with people like her who have such a welcoming and positive attitude. She was nice enough to explain the testing procedure to me and went over what I should expect it to be like on test day. She also showed me where the testing room, break room, and bathroom is so that I have no surprises come on test day. I'm looking forward to testing here now. I will update how the day of test goes.
