Soooo, I just got my nails done at New Image Nail Spa & wow, they did so good. My mom & I went in to get pedicures for my birthday with Tina & Tiffany. I decided I wanted a dip manicure as well, but they were super busy. The very dope manager at the front (i wish I knew his name, damn it) told me that they didn't have time today but would let me know if there was a cancellation. Just tried this place for the first time for a pedi and will definitely be back. It's clean, and the massage chairs are nice. You know when you first walk in to a new nail place you feel like everyone is staring at you? I didn't feel like that at all at this place. Everyone that works here is super nice. I have been to New Image several times and I absolutely love it. The techs are amazing, friendly, and personable, and the facility is super clean. This review is a reflection on the management - not the nail techs at all. Seriously - AT. ALL. This evening when I was getting a pedicure, the customer next to me bumped into the arm rest and knocked over my glass of red wine into my seat. It's okay - it happens, and the nail techs rushed to clean me up and were honestly LOVELY. When I got up to leave, I realized I had stains on the back of my dress. The stains aren't crazy, but definitely noticeable and also, the spill was certainly not my fault. The male manager proceeded to examine the stains, which are on the back of my dress - um, embarrassing - and then say that he "honestly can't see a difference" and "it should come right out in the wash." This whole experience was mortifying and unsettling. I work in customer service, and any sort of gesture would have been appreciated, especially since I am a long time customer. I felt blamed, even though I had nothing to do with the spill, embarrassed at the amount of people examining the stains on my dress, and yeah - I was charged full price. There is a new nail place opening up on 40th, and I plan to take my business there. And to the tech who was yelled at in front of me for not moving the wine - it was completely not your fault. It was 100% the other customer's fault and you shouldn't have been spoken to that way in front of customers, or in general. But even if it was your fault (and it wasn't), it's okay!!! It's up to the management to make up for it, but he failed me and embarrassed me. read more

Didn't ask me if I even liked my pedicure either. The nail technician my sister went with was completely opposite. She was sweet and not impatient. The work and place itself is neat but for others, I wouldn't go with Kim. I've been here a number of times, and each time was wonderful. Once I got the holographic powder done, and it rubbed off immediately. It was a bummer but they made up for it by giving me a free manicure. This past time I had a regular manicure by Malinda, and it lasted without chipping for over a week. This review is extremely hard to type as I have been a customer of New Image since I was in High School (which was back in 2006). I have always had the best experiences and services at New Image, until recently. I am a regular customer who gets biweekly dip manicures and monthly pedicures. I have been doing this consistently for at least a year. I had recently had a dip manicure on a Saturday and on Sunday it chipped significantly. I was very surprised as that has never really happened. I called Monday and asked if I could come by to get it fixed. Wa made me an appointment, I came and they fixed it. I was surprised when the girl (not my usual girl) charged me 6$. Confused, she asked Wa (the owner) and he said to me, "Well Natalie, what did you do!?". I replied in the same playful manner, "I didn't do anything! I just had them done Saturday!" He then said, "Don't worry about it Natalie, have a good day." His tone had changed and he seemed very annoyed. I was completely caught off guard. I had never had that experience before and was taken back that I was even experiencing it at all. Like I said, I get biweekly dip manicures and monthly pedicures. It's not the 6$, it's the principle over the whole thing. I had shared my frustration with friends and even a friend who works at the salon. Well, the very next day, the nail chipped again! I was so frustrated with my experience the day before with Wa, that I didn't even go back because I didn't want to deal with it again. I called up a friend and had her fix my nails. The owner's partner had made my next 3 appointments. I had to cancel the next one because of how the timing fell and the following I cancelled because I was gifted a gift card to another salon for my birthday. I kept my appointment for 4/15 for a dip manicure, as it lined back up with my biweekly schedule. I received a notification the week of 4/6 that my appointment had been canceled. I called as I was confused, I was told that "the system automatically stops you from being able schedule once you cancel x amount of times". I had only cancelled two appointments; however, there was a scheduling error that happened in the past that made it look like I canceled more. Still confused, I asked for Wa to please call me. I am a loyal and valued customer that comes every two weeks and has always spoken so highly of New Image. Wa never called. I didn't cancel my appointment 4/15. I was planning on going, why was I canceled ? Another scheduling error that reflects poorly on the customer. I was told I could no longer schedule and that I could only "walk-in". Still baffled by the whole situation, I reached out to a friend who works at the salon. I wanted clarification. Why was this happening? Why was I being treated this way? I have never been disrespectful for done anything to deserve this. 24 hours later I received a call from Wa. Which was today 4/12. I was at work and unable to answer. I immediately called back as I stepped away and he was suddenly "unavailable". I listened to a voicemail that came through that he left when he called- this is what it said. "Afternoon, Natalie. This is Wa with new image. Uh I'm calling because I assume you need to talk to me about the conversation you had with uh Leslie that you no longer allowed to make future appointment and only do walk in. In fact, I'm calling to inform you that we no longer good fit salon for you and there may reason about it. But if you want to hear the reason you can give me a call back and I will call you back when I can. Again with new image calling to let you know that we are no longer a good fit salon for you and you need to know the reason you can call me back..." A business owner, calling a loyal customer, who has NEVER had any issues, telling me "this salon is no longer a fit" for me. How does that make sense? And again, I called to get these "many reasons" and was told he was "unavailable". I am appalled and hurt. There is no excuse for this treatment. However it's been brought to my attention this is how Wa treats his staff. Sad. I will never be back. read more

Haven't got my nails done in over a year and decided to use this gift card today and honestly I wish I didn't. I was expecting a better experience since the price for acrylic with "round" shape was $37. For one, half my nails aren't even round they're lopsided to be honest. For two, my nails overall look super messy and I wish I would have just gotten gel on my real nails... it's whatever. I give 3 starts because the receptionist were nice an the salon is clean!
