Very bad experience today. I have gotten one set of acrylics and a fill and both times a couple of my nails lifted or cracked in half. Today I went in because my nail lifted and my clear polish has TURNED ORANGE. When I talked to the owner today he told me that it was my fault and that I must have used chemicals or something. But while the female nail tech was fixing my nails she told me that she sees it all the time when the nails get older. They both argued with me about it and I got so frustrated I walked out. I just had what might have been the best pedicure that I ever had in my life. And the manicure was nothing to sneeze at either. They treat you like you are a welcome guest when you walk through the door, it doesn't matter if they're busy they offer you a drink, they offer you a snack, everyone is so professional and I saw how great a job they were doing on everybody. I like this place, they do good nails. I've gotten gel mostly and really think they last and look nice. Twice they up sold me and were not clear about the price. Specifically yesterday I was getting my nails done and the man was trying to make a design. He messed up and the artist came over and fixed them. She asked me "you want rhinestones" I said yes then when I went to check out $75 for 4 nails designs. So I spent $35 on nail designs I never really wanted. I wanted a fucking triangle drawn on the nail. Anyway, be clear with these people. I should have. I never wanted to pay more than $50 so it's partially my fault, but I hate when people ask me that question and don't confirm the price. Should I ask for a partial refund? I went to this store and had a bittersweet time however in the end i was left unsatisfied.I got my nails done yesterday and they dont look good at all. I got seated fast and they energy was great until i met the girl who was doing my nails. I asked the lady if she could sanitize the cuticle cutter and she proceeded to say "why didn't you bring your own" like the nerve. I came in to get a fill in and my mom wanted done a gel mani and pedi. My niece just need a regular polish done. I gave her the inspiration picture of what I wanted done and she said okay. This was my second time in the salon for acrylic nails. I asked for a ombre French with 2 sparkle nails on each hand. Christina asked me if I wanted to try a couple of art nails. I said sure! Anyway by the end I was left with very cute festive nails. It was ok until she told me the price 85.00! With tip was over 100.00! Megan did my nails before. After researching nail salons for a nice pedicure, I decided on Nails by Lina. I was there mid afternoon on a Wednesday so it would be peaceful. When I walked in, I wasn't disappointed. It was beautiful and relaxing in there so I spoke with someone when I walked in about being picky with pedicures and really into a tech that gives a great massage. I was directed to sign in so I did that and selected Kevin to do my pedicure after several positive reviews mentioned him. A different tech pointed me to my chair and I don't like to "Karen" about little details so I just let her proceed. The massage chair was wonderful and there was only one other person getting a pedi so it was quiet. The disappointing factors come in with a few ways my pedicure was ruined. First, all throughout the pedicure, she attempted to upsell me which is aggravating INSTEAD of relaxing. I had already picked the Mangolicious pedi for $40 from the menu. Second, I could barely feel the massage and many times she was taking long pauses to laugh and joke with her coworker. Also aggravating instead of relaxing. Third, she did a horrible job with the paint. It is pooled around the nail bed and smudged and definitely does not look professional. Also my toes do not look like she took any time to make the skin smooth. I was hoping to have found my new pedicure home but I will have to keep looking as I didn't get my money's worth here. read more

The service was decent, they were friendly at first but failed to give me pricing options initially and I ended up paying $60 for a regular pedicure without giving me options on what I wanted done. As well as some spots on my nails weren't painted all the way, it looked good from afar but upon further inspection they were uneven and some parts weren't colored all the way. When I brought up why they didn't give me pricing options, they just looked at me confused. I asked kindly for a small discount for the inconvenience but they got an attitude when I asked for that. I switched to Nails by Lina after so many disappointing experiences at the Tyrone Mall nail places and others. Every nail job has been excellent here, and the people have been super attentive. The whole salon just got a redesign and expansion, so that's nice, too. Everyone has done an expert job, compared to other places where you can't be sure what you're going to get. The waxing ladies are always careful and give me the best brows. The pedicures are great. I don't feel like an object in an assembly line here. I've been here 4 or 5 times in the last year and it's always been okay, but my last experience was so terrible I will no longer come back. The entire pedicure was painful. I had to tell my nail tech 4 times that she was hurting me even though it was more times than four. I was the in pain and uncomfortable the entire experience but I was embarrassed to make a scene. I understand little accidents happening but not to that extent. I had an anxiety attack the entire experience from how painful and neglected I was. The most upsetting part was she honestly did not seem to care. When I told her she was grabbing my bruised ankle she said she needed to, to scrub the soap off my foot and then later gave an in-genuine apology, in a manner of blaming me for not notifying she of my bruised ankle/leg. This was well into the service so I was unaware I needed to identify a bruise to be an avoided area but it was also very obvious to see. This was never disclosed. I've included my bruised leg in the review , while the nail tech didn't cause it, she did grab onto it to "scrub off soap" that caused me to fight back tears so I wouldn't publicly embarrass myself and I believe to bruise me further. I usually come here to see Megan only. Today explains why I should have just come back to see her only. My nails were done Wednesday, today is friday. My nails must have had a pocket or bubble or something to make them lift on a couple spots and there was color smearing everywhere, I go in today to get it fixed. This is fixing it? Seat 5 just files over the nail quickly putting one more color coat and cured with top coat and said dont peel it, !?!? Definitely not. They still are obviously the same as what I went in with. This used to be our go to nail salon a few years ago. Went back there for the first time today and will not go again. My pedicure was great, but whomever did my nails was trying to do them during my whole pedicure and only stopped when I said I wanted done seperately. Went in wanting pink and white, and lady said color better. I switched to a color to accommodate the tech and I thought there was a fire behind me she was going so fast. She rushed through my manicure, went so fast left one finger bleeding. Only spoke to me one time to see what salon I was going to before. My mom left with a gash in her toe (complete accident) and thick fingernails. I am not normally one to complain and do this, but the price was too much for this much stress and unhappiness. She then began to criticize my current job and promised that they would look so much better. Well $85 dollars later they looked exactly like they did when I came in. Which was no way near what I'd paid for a full set. She gave me a fill. I received "Sugar" nails and the glitter was coming off the next day. I went back and they had an attitude and made them worse then before, they were clumpy and just plain ugly. Now 2 days later all glitter is basically gone. If I could give no stars I would. Christine, the owner of this salon does not care about customer satisfaction so don't dare complain or you'll be shoved out of the door! They don't mind pushing people away because they have no one to report to, no need for customer satisfaction, it's on a pay and leave basis. Maybe if she cared about her long term customers needs instead of her horrific colored extensions, the shop would be acceptable. Shes a product of botched, aspiring to be a Barbie doll buuuuut, it's a stretch. She's rude and their service is QUICK IN AND OUT so if you're looking for a relaxing, spa like experience for the price you pay, don't bother at this hood rat place, too far south for my liking anymore. I have been going to Nails By Lina for over 12 years. Not only do I get my nails done monthly, but I have also gotten the permanent makeup. My nails always look great & I get compliments from men & women. I have gone in with an idea that I is in my head, but don't have a picture of, & my nail tech, Riya, always makes it perfect. As I watch the other nail techs, I know if I need to use someone else I will be in good hands. The permanent makeup is the best thing I've ever done. She was very rude and unreasonable to me when I asked to fix minor imperfections on my nails. Even going so far as to tell me I was craft and don't belong in her establishment.
