Did good following covid santizing, mask and all. I spoke too soon after haircut. I cut the blob of hair off myself that was a longer than other side. I really don't like going back.My hair is straight and flat. no style. I was hoping so bad to get a good hair cut. Haven't had a good hair cut since the 80s early 90s. They really put out the womans haircuts in the 80s. Wish I knew where to get a good woman's cut like with layers or something. I didn't go to beauty school. New Image Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

I'm currently in the market for a new salon... coming from Houston, I've had a hard time finding someone up here that does my hair the way that I like it. I'm not saying that the people that have done my hair up here this far aren't good... I just don't mesh with them as well as I would like. So, browsing the internet I came across New Image Salon. Oh, I also forgot to mention, I can be a cheapskate. So, I don't want to pay $80 for a hair cut. I want a simple cut for under $40. And before calling New Image, I had called a few other places and wasn't impressed with their phone manners... so to me that is a pretty good indication of how they are going to treat you while you are there... so I passed. SO, I called New Image, the owner answered and I told her what I was looking for. She was unsure if there was anyone there that could fulfill my needs, but after I informed her it was for a few days away... she promptly referred me to someone else. I talked to a nice lady that worked there and she said that she could get me in when I was requesting. On the day before my appointment, they called to remind me. I love that because I am SO forgetful. SO, I waited till my appointment time... when I arrived at the salon there was a male sitting behind the counter. Naturally I though, he must work here because he looked at me like... What do YOU want? I told him that I had a 5 o'clock appointment and he said... With WHO? Here's where my bad memory comes into play again... I looked apologetic and said... I'm sorry... I forgot who it was with. He looked at me like I had just told him the worst thing he has EVER heard and said... YOU FORGOT WHO IT WAS WITH??? It was ALL I could do to NOT tell him off. Oh, by the way... he DOES work there. Thank GAWD the appointment wasn't with him, I would have turned and walked out. But to NOT hold his rudeness against MY hairdresser... I decided to stay. The nice lady that was going to cut my hair came up to the front, introduced herself and was VERY friendly. She took me back to her station and asked me what we were doing today... I told her what I was interested in... she then took me back to shampoo. After a brief shampoo and head massage... we went back to her station and she got to work. She wasn't SUPER fast, but she was fairly quick. After she cut my bangs she asked me if they were short enough. I said... I think so... she then said... we'll blow dry your hair and see... if not I can cut some more off at that time. I was perfectly fine with that. After the blow dry... the bangs were still just a LITTLE too long. She cut some more off... finished styling my hair... when I looked in the mirror I LOVED it! I was so happy that rude person at the front desk didn't run me off. Also, as a side note... they had TONS of wigs. I was thinking maybe I should get one in every color and be a different person everyday. LOL So, this review will get 3 stars... I would give 5 because I LOVED my hairdresser... but I HAVE to take away 2 because I was shocked at how rude the desk person was. And the sad part is... I take customer service into consideration when I review a place like this. I will update this review when I go back. IF he changes his attitude, then I'm sure they will get a MUCH better rating. read more

I think the salon is great but one of the stylist is not very nice. I went to a stylist there until she retired and loved her. Then started going to Danielle who did my hair for a year and half and she is very hurtful. Very unkind and very emotional in my opinion. She was in a bad mood this week when she did my hair and I have been going through a very hard personal time. When I left after paying my bill I received a text from her telling me to find another hairdresser and to not contact her or come to the salon anymore. All of this after she scheduled me for another appointment for highlights. Never been treated so ugly in my life. read more

I can totally recommend Christina. She has been doing my hair for years now and I completely trust her. I have never been displeased with a haircut - ever. I have changed styles a few times and each time it has been for the better. I even sent a visiting cousin to her once and she always tells me to say hi to Chris and wishes she could go to her because she said her hair never looked better. I went for a visit to a friend in Washington and was referred to her hairdresser Christina. I was so happy with my haircut and color! She got my color so beautiful and my cut is very easy to take care of. Christina listened to what I wanted and did magic on my hair. I Moved here 5 years ago from Portland, and tried and tried and TRIED (@10) Stylists here in Tri-Cities, Thinking I was NEVER going to find someone to do my hair... Even making the Trek back to Portland,(To My LIFE-LINE Stylist) when my work schedule and finances allowed. That made for a very expensive $$$ appointment!!! I am transitioning my VERY THICK, Dry & coarse blonde hair to Grey!!! I was beginning to think I was a Problem child, and no one would hear and SOLVE my hair challenges, and HELP ME!!! with my VERY(All my Life) Overwhelming hair...Then I found CRYSTAL GRAY Who is the NEW OWNER at NEW IMAGE SALON!!! She in A Word is "AMAZING"!!! I Get compliments on my hair, Almost on a DAILY Basis!! She uses Olaplex in my Process, and My hair has NEVER Been Better!!! She Nailed the Color on the Very 1st Try, It was almost like she crawled inside my head, and Saw my Vision for My Hair!! The people here were so rude. I walked in to ask about getting a cut, and stood there for about 10 minutes before the stylist nearest me asked if I needed something. No, I just enjoy standing around in random salons on Saturday afternoons...really! I asked if they took walk-ins and she said, usually we do but not today and then recommended great clips down the street. Come on! Reality check, you're a stylist in Tricities-cowtown WA working in a hole-in-the-wall salon. I'm pretty sure your shit stinks too honey. And by the way, if your establishment doesn't accept walk-in customers, it's simple, put "By Appointment Only" on the front door.
