The dental assistants are very thorough and explain procedures as we go along. This is very helpful for putting patients at ease. All the dental assistants are very friendly and caring. Each time I have a visit they make me feel like I'm the only patient for the day. I saved the Best for last...of course our Dentist. He is pretty amazing in his job and her table side manor. Dr.Nidal is Real and it puts her patients at ease. He is Fantastic at his job - quick and efficient - quite the artist too. The mood in the office is upbeat and positive. I scheduled the appointment and had to wait one week with toothache and when i came for my appointment they told me they cannot take me because my insurance covered the x-rays at another dental office. I offered to get the x-rays from the old office and they said they will not accept it. X-ray is an X-ray everywhere. They offered me to see the dentist with out of pocket cost. Had to leave the office. They had one week to tell me this and only told me this when I arrived at the office. And by the way, The tooth that I came to check for has an infection which was treated by this doctor about a year ago. read more

Nice office friendly staff, wait room a bit small. I had a bad tooth in front next the bugs bunnies (incisor?). They drilled it 50 percent gone then put in a temp and gave me the permanent like 2 weeks later. It's holding up well. Doc is kool, seems skilled. I finally got my insurance and was excited to find a dentist. I made my appointment for myself and my two boys and found the woman on the phone to be so sweet and helpful. Then my first appointment was cancelled by the Dr.. due to an emergency outside of New York. Rescheduled for a month later to get a call to cancel once again due to an emergency out of new york. I didn't bother rescheduling for a third time. If the Dentist is not willing to take new patients, why not say that before scheduling the first appointment. I can't stress enough how horrendous this place is. I went here not even a year ago and had a new crown put in, and, 3 FAILED ATTEMPTS AT having a veneer put in. This is now not even a year later and the crown which I paid 1500 for has fallen out (in the midst of a pandemic so I can't get it replaced). This doctor kept putting the wrong size veneer in my tooth and it kept sliding off all three times and in the end when I was wondering 'is this dentist incompetent or just playing around with me at this point' didn't even reimburse me for the full amount I paid! I broke a tooth right at the beginning of the ''pause". I was able to reach the practice and had a virtual consult with Dr. Nidal, who was reassuring and gave me advice about how to handle the situation until it was safe to see patients and emergencies. Today I received a temporary crown in a practice setting that was both welcoming and kind as well as comfortting because of their high level of infection control and hygiene practices. ​Dr. Nidal Salameh is hands-down the most wonderful, skilled dentist, and also the most wonderful, kind man! (It's so hard to find either one, let alone both of them together!) It was by sheer luck I ended up here. Arrived with my rampant, deteriorating-by the-moment dental problems (auto-immune problem stuff), my ridiculously inadequate insurance policy, and my whole bunch of nightmare-like stories about what happened when I'd tried getting help elsewhere. In short, I was seen at New Leaf Dental immediately. Appt right on time, office nice and clean. Everyone working in the office lovely and helpful and gentle and patient with me in every way. I had 2 extractions the first appointment, and seven (7!) fillings the following week -- all this exceeded my insurance; Dr Salemeh did it for me nonetheless (!! ) I'm about 70 years old, and I can remember back when there were still a few family doctors around who were just the way you'd think old family doctors would/should be -- charitable, caring, kind, trustworthy, conscientious. Dr. Salameh is really a throwback for me to the very best (because god knows it wasn't all good back then!) of that past medical care. In general I only post warranted negative reviews. Any place I have a positive attitude for I would be concerned that if it gets too popular it may become difficult to get service again. The good Dentist Dr Nidal Salameh is an endangered species among dentists, a person who knows and observes the Hippocratic Oath. He knows his job well and cares about his patients, a very ethical person and a professional. He's not all about the numbers, those who cram their waiting areas with patients, to be poorly and quickly processed in and out efficiently to maximize profits. He will not play the market with you, neglect preventive care in order to force a more expensive procedure later on. What ever it is that you need he will address it now, and what ever he does, he will do it right the first time, not do it wrong to make you come again and charge you again. Nidal saved my teeth, informed me and treated the periodontal progression my prior dentist neglected to inform me about. The world can use more dentists like Nidal. read more

new leaf dental has been recommended to me by my friend and since the moment i came here i've been very happy with the service. i had a deep seated fear of coming to dentists because sometimes anesthesia didn't work for me. i had a lot of things to be fixed in my mouth from many many root canals to many crowns , i have really bad teeth. the doctor and all other workers in the office did tremendously great job on me. they always made sure i don't feel any pain and enough anesthesia is used, they did the procedures very quickly because i wanted as soon as possible. everyone who works in the office is very friendly and fun, the doctor and girls were always joking and creative a very friendly vibe. also i really appreciated that the staff and the doctor were honest with me and told me that in my case better to not do whitening given i have quite weak teeth. the root canal and crowns the doctor did are really good, i like the service very much and would recommend this place everyone i know in nyc. best office. thank you. i still have some teeth to finish and looking forward to come back to the doctor after all this pandemic covid is read more
